Wandrei, Donald - Frost

Pulp detective from the 1930s, blend of Sherlock, Doc Savage and Spock.

Emotionless I. V. (Ivy) Frost only accepts the most baffling cases.
Locked rooms, impossible murders, zero motives, countless suspects.

A tall, angular man, he has a laboratory stuffed with gizmos, and gorgeous girl Friday.
Character is rather one-dimensional, though less annoying than Challenger or Carnacki.

The mysteries are fun puzzlers, and the pace romps merrily in each story.
