People that make an empire like Ted Turner did, have something special, probably both good and bad. According to this book, he is both high risk person that took lots of changes that actually worked even though people thought it was crazy. He had an good eye on how TV and technology was expanding in which direction and made huge things happen. At the same time he is somehow crazy, hard to be around, extremely controlling with some strange characteristics. Read it :)

I am fascinated how non medicated predominantly manic bipolar displays itself in temper tantrums, high risk-taking, unfathomable energy levels and obsessive unrelenting womanising. But fabulous success in business. How he left others to do the work. Though was very capable of working hard he was simply more interested in boats.

He was medicated later.

I just enjoyed trying to figure out what makes this guy tick. He is an amazing character, a true American patriot, an equally amazing businessman and sailor.... but untameable, not unlike the bison he breeds in Montana. I'm a fan.

You knew he was the Braves Owner, the CNN starter, the crazy cable guy. But did you know he won the Americas Cup? suffers from bipolar disorder? - This book is really fascinating and shows the man from warts to genius and back again. Its missing the Fonda divorce, unless there is a new version out.
