On a spring morning, Baby Mouse energetically frolics outdoors.
Baby Mouse's exuberant antics are counterbalanced by the storyline of Farmer Clem trying to corral his cow that is repeatedly frightened by Baby Mouse.
This picture book is interesting in the Mouse family are extremely anthropomorphic. They walk on two legs, talk, live in a house that contains a vacuum cleaner and an oven, and drive an automobile. But the other animals on Farmer Clem's farm are just regular animals.
My child was horrified that Father Mouse let Baby Mouse drive the car because they were out in the country and their destination wasn't far.
The illustrations appear to have been done in acrylic, but no information was given on the verso title page. The author-illustrator is the son of Good Night Moon illustrator Clement Hurd.
