I really enjoyed this book. Everyone in Katelyn’s family is in the Police department. She feels she has to work twice as hard as her brothers to make promotion. She is trying to make sergeant before her 29th birthday. Katelyn goes undercover to try to stop the killer that is killing newlyweds. I love the way she meets her new boss… Her new boss is also undercover, and she suspects him, so she pulls him to the side and frisk him for weapons at a wedding. She is embarrassed when she finds out he is a policeman, and mortified to find out he is her new boss. Later they get paired together, posing together as lovers. This book had lots of action, and romance. This book was hard to put down!

Ryland had pitted him against not just Bryden but the entire O’Malley clan – including Katelyn. Yet it hadn’t kept them apart. Of course, probably nothing short of critical injury or death could have done that. There were times, like now, when Joe felt as if he were in the path of a speeding train, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Nothing he wanted to do to stop it. Talk about confusing. They had a killer to catch, and his every other thought was of the redhead he’d left in the conference room. She deserved better than that and so did the victims.

This book was a free bonus with a Kat Martin book I purchased. It was a quick read. However it had a lot of information on all the characters. The plot was kind of in the background. Then all at once you have the ending all tied up in maybe 40 pages.
