Brings back fond childhood memories of borrowing this from my local library and pouring over the puzzles and illustrations. Just as fun as an adult.

Demon's Cove is quite difficult. I could never have cracked the code without the picture clue. The dinosaur story is the easiest.

The first thing I have to say is that I am WAY older than the target audience for this book. But when it fell into my life by way of boxes of donated books, I just had to have a read ... and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The book consists of four 'mysteries' - involving haunted houses, pirate treasure, missing wills and time travel. On each page, there is something for the reader to solve - whether it be a logic puzzle to work out which cakes are not poisonous, a dastardly coded message from the smugglers, or finding a hidden trap-door. I have to say that some of the puzzles I struggled with a bit, which made the book really fun in a frustrating kind of way! A great way to spend those odd moments with nothing better to do.

Another great puzzle book for children who are bored or who do not know what to do with themselves. Plenty of puzzles and activities in this book. There is No boredom in this book it will make the time pass quicker. Highly Recommended.

This is one of the most fun books I've ever bought (I'm an adult). My sister and I had a great afternoon solving the puzzles together. Would highly recommend for all ages and intellect levels (the puzzles are not too involved, it's more along the lines of predicting how the characters solve the obstacles they come across in their adventure!)

4 books in one. Bought for the kids as a memory of my childhood. Had to have a wee read. Good fun.
