Aspen Assisted Living facility is known for their festive holiday decorations, but it did little to decorate the hearts of the residents.
The longer Grace Decker lives at the facility, the more she retreats into herself. What is the point? Her freedom died right along with her husband. Now strangers treat her like a child. She doesn’t even care that it’s almost Christmas.
The last thing Albert Stanley, a former rodeo star, wants is to be stuck inside with not a horse in sight. Six months in this place has seemed like six years. Although he’s the life of the party on the outside, inside he feels alone and isolated. Is he going to die without ever experiencing true love?
Albert decides to make it his mission to bring some Christmas cheer into Grace’s life, despite her resistance. Can two people who believe their lives are over, remember romance at Christmas, and discover that you are never too old to fall in love? This book will make you a believer in Christmas miracles.
THIS CHRISTMAS, REDISCOVER ROMANCE IN ASPEN RIDGE, COLORADO, A SMALL TOWN WITH AN OPEN HEART.

A sweet romance for a senior couple who had both been lonely.
A lovely story, reminding us that love can come at any stage of life. My only complaint was the ages she chose for the family, if Grace was 88 then her son had to be in his 50-60's, with a new toddler? It would have made more sense for it to have been her grandson with a younger wife and a new baby. I have friends that age, they have adult grandchildren who have grandchildren on the way, and their children didn't come along til the were in their 20's.
A Delightful Story About Senior Citizens Finding Love!
Jill Haymarket has written a sweet story about two older people who find love while living in a home for senior citizens. The home sounds nice. The staff in the home were surprised when two senior citizens fell in love and expressed an interest in living together at the home. They were told that only married couples could live together, so they got someone to take them to get a marriage license and got married. The bride's daughter and her husband were not in favor of the marriage, but the older couple got married anyway.
I enjoyed this book, perhaps because I have reached senior citizen status (a few years ago). I hope you enjoy it also.
When are we too old to fall in love? If older couples can still enjoy each other's company, then why not romance? I know most people hate to think of their parents in an intimate situation, but really, we all crave human contact and moral support from someone special. So, this a story of romance and love for a mature aged couple. It is wonderful!! I dare you not to smile throughout the entire story. It's a fitting ending to the last of my Ms Haymaker's books. I believe you will enjoy this very entertaining couple of series about Peakville and Aspen Ridge.
Albert was ninety and Grace was eighty-eight. They lived in an assisted community for elderly persons Was that to be their home from then on, or was it the wonderful surprise that they could find love even at their age? Three cheers for Albert and Grace. Love has no age limits! I loved the characters and their tender sentiments for each other, The author touches on a rarely spoken about love story and weaves it into a beautiful romantic Christmas story. I'd give this book 6 stars if I could!!!
Grace is In an assisted living facility since she fell and broke her hip. She has been widowed for 10 years and feels like the only thing she does now is just watch TV. Albert had to move in the facility due to lung problems but he is determined that he can get Grace to smile and works to make her get involved in living again. Let the adventures begin.
Remember Christmas is a sweet romance. The main characters, Grace Decker and Albert Stanley, are 88 and 91 years old respectively. They live in the Aspen Assisted Living facility. Their story is about finding love late in life and is made even better by the fact that it is holiday time in Colorado. My mom just turned 90 so I could relate to these characters. I enjoyed reading their story.
I really enjoyed this story, at 65 and sorta single, I don't think of marriage and romance as a bit part of my life anymore.I loved these two, the ex-rodeo cowboy was so real to me! I am going to have to read the other's from this series!
Most romance stories involve young couples with the male usually a billionaire. This was a very refreshing story...as an elderly person myself, I can relate to this situation and I loved the story! You are never too old to fall in love
A sweet story about love in your golden years. Well written with several well placed characters. What do you do when you're lonely? How do you find love after losing your spouse?
The whole setting was too depressing. I'm sure it will get better, eventually, but tis not the season to have the patience to see it through. I quit a quarter of the way through.
Gracie and Albert, both alone and lonely in Peakview Assistant Living until Albert decides to court Gracie. A sweet reminder we all need to feel loved regardless of our age.
I will make this very simple, I think you are a fantastic writer. I have read all of Aspen Ridge series and the Peak view series and a few of the others as well. Loved them all.
This book was such a great story & well written. The characters were great. They make us realize that even we we are old,we can still have feelings and can do things for ourselves although they may be limited. You are never to old for love.
