The book "An Introduction to the History of Science", has been considered important throughout the human history, and so that this work is never forgotten we have made efforts in its preservation by republishing this book in a modern format for present and future generations. This whole book has been reformatted, retyped and designed. These books are not made of scanned copies of their original work and hence the text is clear and readable.
This is somewhat old writing (1917) but there was much for me to learn from it. My favorite chapters were on Benjamin Franklin and Louis Pasteur.
The first flights of the Orville Brothers are so ingrained in our minds—we even visited the Kitty Hawk historical site--that it may be a huge surprise to hear of Samuel Pierpoint Langley as the inventor of the airplane. There is no mention of the Orville brothers here.
