I enjoyed it but it the material is definitely dated. A lot of things being described in the book as going on I am sure no longer exist. A little too much of the book was devoted to the feuds Hatfield-McCoys and another feud. It did make me more interested in the music and crafts from the area. I will probably visit some of the areas in the book in the near future.
