Much better than the last although the author still blazed through the MC's training and power up although the time skips are never not as bad as the previous entries they are still there. I wish that for the next entry the MC has more agency the last two books it seemed as if he was along for the ride, except the ride here is the proverbial tiger. Overall this was good book much better that book 2 and on par with book 1. I would hope for the author to flesh out the MC's thought process when upgrading his powerset, we all love DBZ sudden power up scenes, but at the same time without the training sessions those power would not be as satisfying.
Brilliant. A fantastic mix of Science Fiction, Cultivation and LitRPG which is totally new and unique (to me)
Lots of action and pacing is relentless. There are lots of time skips which I thought worked well to avoid unnecessary drag in explaining miniscule details.
Prose is great, easy to read and immersive enough to paint a beautiful universe. Characters are well-etched and realistic enough to have weight behind their intent and actions. MC is easy to get hind and support, but at same time there's enough greyness to prevent plain vanilla characters.
I am impressed that the main character got more time in this book than he did in the last book. Unfortunately, the main character still feels like he was a background character in this story. But one of the qualities I do like about this whole series is the fact that the main character does not have to be the only person doing anything to correct the situation. My only hope is that if the author writes another arc in this series that the story won’t be above the main characters head.
I didn’t always understand what was going on. The sheer scale of powers and weapons and everything beggars the imagination.
I don’t know if there’s going to be another book. While the MC has not reached the absolute pinnacle, he is definitely on the path and has the most powerful protector.
The Occasional word was misplaced. For instance past and passed or sow and sew.
Wowzers! A lot of this book felt like a non stop fight! But it was awesome! Jonx gets some more advancement, which is awesome of course. And we get some more interaction between the major celestial players. Can’t wait for book 4 to see what our man gets up to after that awesome ending!
Builds on the last two books, just more of everything that's great in this series, more fighting more epic space battles a tournament more power levelling and a dragon what more could you want .
I loved learning more about the Dragon and his iterations. Jonx is becoming a fully terrifying individual. As he and Highburren advance, what will they be tasked with? Will Ebon-Izar change their training after the events of this book?
It's solid don't get me wrong. A lot of good character development and growth but it just was a bit of a slog and the pov changed way too many times. Good story arcs and curves though
