Seems the writer was torn as to write a novel or a treatise. The latter would've been better. His storytelling stinks. I love philosophy, but not a bit of fiction of 15 pages drenched in another hundred reflecting on life.

I do like the views and how those are written. A separate book of just this I would rave of. However, this is to be fiction...depressing Christmas-wise, and it doesn't work and the story is not worth clawing through the views to get to the end.

Bottom line: I don't recommend this book. 3 out of ten points.

A Drawn-Out House Call.

🖊While generally interesting, I found this to be 🌵 ⊱Quite dry reading that made this draggy.

📕Published in 1910.

Verbose, almost to the point of boredom-inducing. Interesting philosophy, but it all but ruins what I would consider a traditional Christmas story.
