Drier than dust. How does one write about ancient Egypt without even mentioning Queen Hatshepsut? Akhenaton? Tutankhamen? Plus, it ended very abruptly. Was this only the first of a multi-volume series?

Extremely annoying to encounter untranslated Greek or Latin quotations and footnotes. As if every Tom, Dick, and Harry knows both Greek and Latin.
