The book "Maverick Mania" is a very good story about a boy named Matt and his freind Caleb. This book is interasting in many ways but one is how the author Sigmund Brouwer mix's up the story from being about soccer to being about a mystery. I recommend this book to people who like reading mystery books that have puzzles in them.

This book was a very interesting story, but most important a very good story about Matt and his missing star teammate on his soccer team. This book was interesting for 1 reason and very good for another reason. 1) it was interesting because on Matt's journey to find his teammate, he goes through a lot of unexpected involvement that is very mysterious, but also he finds out something really weird. 2) it was a very good story because it described every mysterious scene very well that I could picture it in my head. I truly recommend this book to those who are interested in reading about strange or mysterious type of book.

i chose this book because i like sports. It was a mystery and i liked it because i want to know what happens next. The story takes place in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Matt is a tenage boy and the main character. Matt is a very good friend, caring, curious and brave. The Mavericks soccer team was headed to the finals. The parents of Caleb Riggins suddenly would'nt let him play. Matt goes to find out why Caleb can't play and he sees the family is gone. Matt and Steve go to find where his family is and it nearly costs them their lives.

I think that it was good, and also, those are things that it happens in the world and there is always something that anybody can do to you, but this book it was very realistic, and I think that it didn't have anything that it was unrealistic, just the time that he said that he stayed for a long time swimming and just floating in the water or the lake that they were in - when he rescued Matt and Caleb, and also the the soccer games are very interesting and other than the lake moment, everything else is very realistic.
