A story that deals with the complexities of married life. I liked it. Short and told in a mature way. Flawed characters with redeeming qualities.

It’s been a great week when it comes to reading and it’s the season where you feel you can read ANYTHING! So yes, taking this opportunity I embarked on a weekly journey of reading ONLY reading Indian Authors starting last Tuesday and it’s going pretty well.

This is a book I surprisingly enjoyed considering the book being less than 200 pages but it unpacked a lot of emotions throughout the reading process.

The story is about two couples, the husbands being friends. The writing focuses mainly on the marriages happening here, more on how marriages are arranged and what generally happens after the weddings.
Moreover, the book also deals with likely problems couples have to deal with in their relationships.

I would also say that the plot is rather realistic and the characters are really mature. They are flawed to perfect to start with yet they redeem themselves towards the end which makes the story quite satisfying to read.

The story features some very realistic scenarios that happened during the recent pandemic which I really appreciate. However, as it is how it is, we can expect some drama!

I enjoyed how the misunderstandings get cleared up and how the things get handled better in the second half.

The book is better suited for new adults and readers who enjoy short contemporary fiction dealing with relationships.

🎼 This song Agar Tum Saath Ho matches this book so much!

lol
imagine u are married and have a kid but still think about your ex
the protagonist karan is the weakest character i have ever read
he can't even say no to his parents that he don't wish to get married 🙄. His mindset is way too weak and i thought it would be better but it kept getting worst
he literally ruin his, his wife's life, and his future child too
can't believe its publish by penguin
also not to forget he got lust at first sight when he met his future wife i really think that bhai ab aapni wife se bore hogya h that's why missing her ex 🙂

giving the. one star just bcz it has some elements which i find funny
and when i see something funny even if little bit i like that thing 🙁
~ Shruti says “Hi, how are you?”
Karan gets nervous and immediately says she looks beautiful.
He realises he said it in front of both families
~ when karan said its a surprise and she put google maps to know where they are
~ aditya crying in jasmine farewell from her parents after marriage
~ when he tried to make momo but jasmine commented he should stick to writing instead

book somehow feels empty
i don't know why they even texted each other in first place on WhatsApp if they both moved on 😒
i hate when he decided to go meet his ex he take time to dress well he is basically cheating saving his ex name by a false one
and deleting chats after talking
and this bitch navya even kissed him on cheeks like hello and jokes *you are dressed like we are on date or smthg*
and after that i understand that lie to police that she is her wife but wth he misses the serperation from her like wth dude she is your ex and u are married now stay the fuck away from her

and the 2nd couple is not that great either j know that aditya is frustrated but if u love someone u will never speak like that to them
but they are atleast better than karan

then this mf karan meet navya again and for godsake he realises his mistake finally but the drama will not end here shruti finds out and this poor lady cry all night
he just deserve a tight slap from me that moment for breaking that kind lady who done so much for him and in return he breaks her trust

and like always everything end on good note

I am reading Sudeep Nagarkar's book since a very long time. I have a collection of his books. He writes in easy English so it's very easy for everyone who has just started reading books. Sudeep himself a very pure and down to eart soul.

This book is a story of Karan, Shruti, Aditya and Jasmine. But there life get disrupted when COVID-19 strike and things come to hault. Jasmine lost her project and Aditya advice her to take a set back , when he was in turmoil because his written works for upcoming series' come to hault. And Karan and Shruti who was going to parents soon life got disrupted as Karan got infected. The hospital where Karan get admitted and doctor he got was none other than Navya his ex. They had few moments but Karan handle himself and give up at his moment of weakness , that jeopardize his future with Shruti. But destiny play it role.

The entire story proceeds so smoothly, without any hiccups, and that's what bothered me the most. There are instances of challenges these couples face and I wish that was explored a bit more before giving them a 'happy ending'.

You never forget your first love and even if you try, the heart has its own ways to hide it somewhere within. But if it resurfaces in your life when you are finally settled in a cozy marriage. The story lacked depth. Overall, the book is an easy simple read.A story which plays a role in everyone's life, which gives insight of events that happens if we make a blunder.

The story reads more like a teenage love story than an adult tale. It's plain and simple, featuring two different couples with their own problems trying to solve their differences in an ideal world where everyone is loving, caring, and accepting.

There's nothing wrong with the plot idea; it's just that there should have been more depth to it. The story needed more emotional content to get readers hooked – perhaps a mother-in-law who opposes her daughter-in-law, creating complications, or a strict father and an unforgiving husband. Something to spice things up.

The entire story proceeds so smoothly, without any hiccups, and that's what bothered me the most. There are instances of challenges these couples face and I wish that was explored a bit more before giving them a 'happy ending'.

Overall, the book is an easy simple read without having to break any sweat. Pick up if you are okay with a simple story line that's got a small % of emotional content.

❤️‍🩹 Aditya, who is an author by profession, narrates the story of his friend Karan, who is happily married to Shruti and they are expecting a child together. That is until one day, when Karan encounters his ex girlfriend Navya, and his feelings for his ex rekindles. Will he put his marriage at stake for her?

❤️‍🩹 This book is under 200 pages and easy to read, as you do not need to invest much brain cells into it and the book keeps the readers entertained. It is set in the time of covid and how common lives were affected because of it. The characters were not very deep but served well in the book. Overall, this book is perfect for beginners and fans of contemporary fiction.
