God's Word’s translation is controversial in its “Americanizing” of the BIble, most notably substituting “kindness” for “grace” in ”Ephesians 2:8-9 – “God saved you through faith as an act of kindness. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God. It’s not the result of anything you’ve done, so no one can brag about it.”
God’s Word is marketed as “Today's Bible Translation That Says What It Means ...into the everyday language we speak... with natural English….looks and reads like contemporary American literature. It uses natural grammar”
