VIP Lounge by Ed Dector is about a girl named Chloe Gamble. She is dealing with her newfound fame, her mother and her brother. She has to juggle all three of those. This book shows you the bad and good things about Hollywood and what people do to get famous. Chloe is an actress in a new TV show, Cover Band. She has to fake a relationship with a possibly gay guy named Jonas Jones. Her brother, Travis is driving her insane when he decides to go be an underwear model and forget soccer and school. Chloe's mother is just being an attention wh*re, who'll jump at any guy that looks rich, regardless of his age.
This book...was probably one of the worst books I have ever read. Reading it was painful. The writing was absolutely horrible. It didn't flow and it was just ... horrible. Seems harsh, but I almost couldn't get through this book. I thought the book would be interesting because of the book cover, but I learned my lesson. NEVER, EVER judge a book by its cover.
I hate Chloe. She's a selfish ... girl. She needs to know that she isn't the only girl in this world. If her brother wants to model, let him do his thing. He doesn't need his sister ruining his life and telling him what to do. Her brother isn't all up in her face telling her that she can't act or do the things she want. She just pisses me off because it reminds me of a lot of people in this cruel, cruel world. All Chloe does is flirt with older guys, complain about her brother, and insult her mother. She is just so...UGH. Yes, no word can really describe her.

The second book in the series is just as interesting and fun as the first. This one focusses on the role that Chloe won in the first book and how she is dealing with her new found fame. Travis is starting to become famous himself as a model & actor, Chloe's entourage is gaining fame & fortune as well, and Mom is up to her old tricks. These books are fun and entertaining. Especially if you find the ins and outs of Hollywood interesting.

At first I hadn't understood that this was the second book of a series so I was kinda confused. The ending wasn't great because Chloe really started turning into a mean little thing but besides from that I think I quite liked it.
