This fifth volume, Le Maître des oiseaux, marks a pivotal moment in Les 7 Vies de l'Épervier, with the death of Henri IV and the departure of other key characters. While I still find Juillard’s portrayal of the younger characters challenging, it’s impossible not to be impressed by his masterful rendering of buildings, castles, churches, and more. The architectural details bring the historical setting to life, adding depth to a series already rich in atmosphere
