John Carney is a former team mate and long time friend. From his mouth to the ears Generals he is a trusted agent in his words of council. He led the Iranian hostage rescue attempt after being air landed in the desert by his CIA pilot. Just days later the rescue force landed at the site surveyed and covertly marked by Carney. Although the mission was a dismal failure, it proved to be the seed that germinated into the DOD SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCE. John played a key role in standing-up JSOC and was chosen to lead many of their most classified missions prior to his USAF retirement years later. Retiring as an O-6, he soon stepped into the role as CEO of the Warrior Foundation in Tampa, Florida. Over the years, hundreds of KIA Warrior children have graduated from college funded by the foundation.
