Before Max and Ruby were preschoolers, they were Baby Max and Ruby. The popular bunny siblings are back in another board books as their baby selves.
In Red Boots , Baby Max can dress himself . . . with mittens on his ears and a hat on his foot. Silly Max!
With eye-catching novelty elements, these irresistible board books will introduce the very youngest readers to the beloved bunny pair, who star in their own show on Nick Jr. and Noggin.

Rosemary Wells is an American writer and illustrator of children's books. She often uses animal characters to address real human issues. Some of her most well-known characters are Max & Ruby and Timothy from Timothy Goes To School (both were later adapted into Canadian-animated preschool television series, the former’s airing on Nickelodeon (part of the Nick Jr. block) and the latter’s as part of PBS Kids on PBS).
They are not terrible. They are not awesome. If you want a solid buy that no one can object to and that will entertain kiddos through a couple of reads, these are for you.
I'm personally finding that by the fourth book Max's antics and Ruby's all-knowingness as the elder sister is getting on my nerves. But maybe that's just because I'm an adult, and this is now the second book where Max has attempted to dress himself and has failed.
Max and Ruby will always be among my favorite children's book series. I read them as a child, and now I read them to my daughter. Max's mischievous hijinks are always pleasing for parents and their little ones. This book made my daughter request red rain boots. Ha!
This book was about a little child who tries on their bigger siblings clothes. He find out that his clothes fit him better. I personally did not enjoy the book. Helpful with talking about borrowing perhaps.
