The whole world is falling apart. Bashorg, the demon, and the Beast, a dragon, are summoning all their power to rage against the Abyss, the prison their divine essences have been trapped in. Leg Ondo and his team must pull off the impossible once again.
But how are they going to save the planet with Beatrice Shiv, a beautiful young girl, causing problems for Liara Slick, Leg’s betrothed? How are they going to save the world if they can’t even get along? The time has come for Leg Ondo to remember his true past as a valg.
The mage’s story, having begun in a world far away, has come home to roost here on his new planet.

Vasily Mahanenko is a fantasy author working in the new genre of LitRPG - the MMO-based fantasy and sci fi. His Way of the Shaman series took Russian literature by storm in 2012.
Vasily dipped into his college-days insider knowledge as a hardcore gamer in order to create a believable world of the virtual-reality MMO game. His bestselling series combines fiction and video games, telling the story of Shaman and his friends stuck in the ruthless reality of Barliona. He used his more than ten years' experience as an ERP implementation project manager to approach his writing in a well-organized manner, working to a strict schedule, a set of deadlines and even a budget. At the moment, the series boasts six novels with the seventh one in the works - this time the author expands on stories of Shaman's companions and those who helped and supported him in his trials and tribulations.
The first book of the series has already been translated into English, with more translations to follow, aiming to make the Way of the Shaman series available to the English-language reader in its entirety.
Vasily's other passion is space exploration which is why he now works on a follow-up series entitled Galaktiona. Set in a space-simulator based world, the first book of the series in already finished while Vasily works on its sequel.
Unfortunately yet another good series has become endless pot of sugar. It's like you can't impress readers without superseding previous victory with another victory in what, like few pages.... Probably author lost his touch or love for this series. Popcorn.
All the other books I read in one sitting, fantastic tales with an interesting magic system. Then this one Leg had to start a harem, become the the chief bad guy....I had to make myself finish it. Disappointing!
I received a review copy of this book. If you've read the previous books in this series, you might still be lost when you start reading this one. We've got all kinds of things happening, some of them simultaneously. New spells, New bodies, New enemies, and of course, the whole world in peril. What else do you need for a good story? Well, some consistency might be nice. Parts of this story are a bit hard to follow, because new things are constantly being added, and keeping track of literally everything becomes a bit of a challenge. If you can manage it though, you'll find the story to be an enjoyable one for sure, and where it goes from here should prove interesting, since there's a fork in the narration here, and not knowing which way the author will take is giving me something to ponder on until the next book comes out. If you haven't read any of the other books in this series, you really don't want to start here, you'll be overwhelmed from the start, and it probably won't get any better as the story goes along.
This was a crazy ride, and I think I can hesitantly say that the series has ended. All the "according to plan" was fun. With how this ended, I can see the author making a spin off, or continuing the series. (I hope that doesn't happen).
