A former president of the National Hockey League gives an illustrated, behind-the-scenes look at the millionaire owners, the players and their union, and other big names that will be familiar to any hockey fan
Stein provides a solid look at the business side of the NHL during his years involved with the league. Of particular interest would be the 1980s and how the league developed then, as well as the 1990s expansion process (he was directly involved in Anaheim and Florida joining). He also provides some justification for his attempt to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, which while not holding up to scrutiny still provides some enjoyable reading.
