She’s a lawyer that was just given her first big case, and is excited to get started. Then she meets the opposing counsel, and all her defenses go up. She shares a history with Caden Benson-Hennington. They went to college together, interned at the same law firm, and are now both successful attorneys in Manhattan. The problem is he’s annoying and they don’t get along. He has a superiority complex that drives her crazy, and is forever trying to compete and one up her. Destined For Me is an emotional Come Back for Me/Say You’ll Stay Crossover novella. This spectacular story is an enemies to lovers romance novel with enough chemistry to set the world on fire.
“You and I…we can’t be a thing. We aren’t built to be a thing. We are tinder and a matchstick that will burn the world down if we combine.”
“Then let’s burn the fuck down.”
This is Hadley’s and Cayden’s story and it is sweet, spicy and entertaining. I instantly fell in love with their characters and the journey we got to go on with them. This was beautiful and a love story for the decades.
“I never denied I want it, Hadley. I never said I didn’t want you. I ache for you, love.”
Hadley is such a strong female lead, I love her personality. She is so determined and fights for what she believes in. Her and Cayden are both lawyers, who constantly have to work against each other. This makes for some interesting encounters between the two of them. They are both so intelligent, independent and confident in their work.
“I feel the same, but I know he loves you. He looks at you the way I look at your mother, which is the only reason I can take this walk with you.”
Their is so much goodness in this book, I wish I could share it all with you. I love how we got a glimpse of all are favorite past characters from Come Back For Me and Say You’ll Stay. Besides it’s not really a holiday or family gathering if your mom doesn’t offer to kill your dad for you. 🤣♥️
I was honored to receive an ARC and be able to provide a review for Destined For Me, this is my honest opinion of this novella. It doesn’t even seem like a novella to be honest. Corinne packed all the details into this one and gave us another astonishing book.

I LOVED this check-in with the Arrowood/Hennington families. Cayden and Hadley hook up in college and move on with their lives but remain in each other's orbit because they are lawyers. During a case that they are opposing council they relive the moment one of them labeled a "mistake" but was it really?
I loved revisiting Corinne's worlds and can only hope for more novellas about the kids we have met along the way.

I love, love, love that Corinne Michaels gave us this story – a crossover of two of her much-loved books as Hadley, the little scene stealer from Come Back for Me (Arrowood Brothers, #1) and Cayden, the grieving little boy from Say You'll Stay (Hennington Brothers, #1) come together in a chemistry-filled enemies-to-lovers romance that brings all the feels!
Hadley and Cayden were at law school together, and shared one spectacular night together before the morning-after wasn’t handled well, and it all fizzled out before it even had a chance to become something. Now, they’re both lawyers working on opposite sides of a big case, providing ample opportunity for their animosity to fire up and have them at each other’s throats... with a twist.
Yes, the mad lust is intense, and as much as they may hate it, they cannot stay away from each other. The sexual tension is sizzling, and the hate sex is red hot, and I loved watching them give in to it all.
It soon becomes clear that there is WAY more than just sexual attraction between these two, but for their own, very valid, reasons, they’re protecting their hearts. Until they come to realise that all of that animosity is hiding some very real emotion, if only they could accept it.
I love these two! They are intelligent and sensible, snarky and confident, but there’s a vulnerability there, and watching them work through what they’re feeling for each other and find the courage to embrace it is so, so beautiful. And it turns out that Cayden Benson-Hennington is a filthy sex god with a dirty mouth, and an absolute freaking sweetheart who can totally bring the swoon!
It may only be a short novella, but Corinne has managed to bring a whole story-worth of feels to this little read. From the snarky beginning, the steamy sex, the epic fall and the wonderfully detailed happy time which gives us a glimpse of both the Arrowood and Hennington families (Connor as a father to grown-up Hadley is a gold!), and which gives us the chance to see Cayden and Hadley get their happy ever after.
I absolutely loved this one!

It was pretty great for a small novela!
Specially if you've read the Arrowood Series!
Hadley is a big part of that series and I'm glad she had her own love story.
There are so many character's openings though... I'll need a bunch of family trees soon!

This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Destined for Me is a crossover of Corinne Michaels popular books Come Back for Me and Say You'll Stay. Now I haven't read of the two books, but experience with the author's work gave me the confidence to pick up Destined for Me. Secondly, its promotion as as stand-alone read added an extra boost to said confidence. In this crossover novella, Michaels delivered a delightful and emotional steamy enemies-to-lovers romance.
I had a wonderful time with Destined for Me. Despite the brevity of the story, it packed a punch. This crossover novella brings us Hadley and Cayden's story. These two shared rivalry which began when they were at law school together and which spilled over into their personal and professional lives. One night, while in law school they shared a night of passion, however the animosity overflowing from their rivalry prevented them from pursuing the attraction between them. Now, they’re both lawyers working on opposite sides of a major case, opening the door for both their animosity and mutual attraction to each other to re-ignite. The big question is which emotion would win, animosity or attraction?
Hadley and Cayden's story was intense and filled with sizzling sexual tension. On the surface it appears they hate each other, but deep down they couldn't stay away from each other. Also, their banter aided in making the story entertaining. The more time they spend in each other's company the more they realize their feelings went beyond attraction.
Hadley and Cayden were perfect for each other. They are both intelligent and brimming with confidence. They do have issues from their past that makes them wary of surrendering to their feelings. Thankfully in the end, their love for each other won the battle.

Destined For Me (A Come Back For Me/Say You’ll Stay Crossover Novella) is a crossover dream made in heaven. I loved that Corinne Micheals wrote this light hearted, sweet and charming novella and she didn’t kill anybody lol! It was everything that I hoped it would be.
Well Ms. Hadley Arrowood has certainly grown up and kudos to her for becoming a smart, quick witted and intelligent attorney. And it just so happens that her nemesis is none other than Cayden Hennington who’s just as talented and smart and these two have been rivals since law school and their internship. Now that there are opposing counsel on a case, things really start to heat up as their sparring and battling with each other makes for some very steamy foreplay. I love when they ignite those flames because they are just so naughty and hot together! And when their feelings start blooming into something more, that truly made my heart melt.
If you’re looking for a fun read with great depth and an entertaining storyline then, I highly recommend reading this novella. I hope to see more books and/or novellas from the Arrowood and Hennington second generation.

Destined for Me by Corinne Michaels packed the tension of an enemies to lovers workplace romance, the angst of finding love in the enemy and then the sweet surprise twist! This novella was spicy, emotional and irresistible!
Hadley and Cayden has been professional lawyer rivals since college. They had a drunk one night stand in college and it has been branded in their memories forever. The chemistry is still strong but they have resisted. But they are opposing counsels in a case and the close time together does the magic. But can they fall in love?
I love these 1001 Dark Nights novella because it gives me intro to other series by the author! But it can be read as a standalone too! Hadley is a very strong and fierce character. All the YAY for a kicka&& FMC! She is witty, smart, independent and gorgeous. She has to work extra hard in the male with area but she is still slaying. Cayden is that kind of alphah0le who wins you with his wicked charm but also makes you want to strangle him for his arrogance. He wanted Hadley but she refused to give him another chance after college..this is professionally inappropriate too. But once she gives in a bit, Cayden goes in with full force showing that this goes beyond the sex. He relentlessly pursued her and then they have a sweet surprise! It could have change things. And it did, but for better. Cayden and Hadley's banter and bickering made me laugh. And their sizzling hot chemistry burnt my kindle.

This was a quick, fun and easy read and a complete story for Cayden and Hadley. These two come from two of our favorite families… the Hennington’s and the Arrowood’s. Cayden and Hadley are like oil and vinegar when they first meet. But both have a strong chemistry towards one another that can’t be denied. These two fight and argue at every turn always trying to one up the other, but that’s what makes the sparks fly between these two.
When these two come into each other’s lives a few years later this time on opposing counsel, the pay realize those sparks never went away.
This was a sweet story with good character development and witty banter. I especially loved seeing some familiar characters in this book!

5 Star Review of Destined For Me by Corinne Michaels
As I have come to expect from Corinne Michaels, Destined For Me was a well written, entertaining story that left me with a smile on my face. This is Cayden Harrington and Hadley story and oh what a story it was.
If you are familiar with Ms. Michaels’ Hennington and Arrowood stories then this next generation story will be right up you alley. We all know that there is a fine line between love and hate and for these two they have been sparring for years.
Although not a long book, there was certainly all the feelings and emotions that you are used to from this talented author. Cayden and Hadley have history and an intense rivalry. Now they find themselves as opposing counsel on Hadley’s first solo case, one she is determined to win. .
I just adored the journey that these two travelled. The push and pull dynamic of their relationship made this an entertaining story and one I had a hard time putting down when real life got in the way.
This book is a little gem, one click, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Although not a long book, there was certainly all the feelings and emotions that you are used to from this talented author. Cayden and Hadley have history and an intense rivalry. Now they find themselves as opposing counsel on Hadley’s first solo case, one she is determined to win. .
I just adored the journey that these two travelled. The push and pull dynamic of their relationship made this an entertaining story and one I had a hard time putting down when real life got in the way.
This book is a little gem, one click, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

HOLY HAWTNESS!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this crossover between Corinne Michaels' Hennington and Arrowood brothers series! So much so, that I jumped back into a re-read of Come Back for Me and OH EM GEE...I forgot how much I LOVED Connor and Ellie's heart-stopping love story! Anyway, back to Destined for Me...
This SPICY, supposed enemies-to-lovers quickie is LOADED to the brim with FEELS!!! Hadley and Cayden are like oil and water but the sizzling chemistry between them is FIRE! I LOVED that Cayden was the one to realize first that they were MEANT to be and he was 100% on board the train to winning Hadley's heart! And it was AMAZING to watch it all happen!
This one is, without a doubt, a MUST READ even if you haven't read the Hennington/Arrowood series'! It is a complete story that showcases Ms. Michaels' talent and it will make you NEED to read the original series' that spawned it....and you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

I really wish I had read this book immediately after finishing Stay for me, which is book 4 of the Arrowood series - then I would have been able to better enjoy Hadley's HEA!!!! This book was way too short as it is a novella size. Would have loved sooooo much more of them!!! So you don't get much backstory or lead in to Hadley and Cayden's relationship. But still fun and just reminds me how much I love this author's male characters!!!!!
Series notes - This is a book that ties 2 children from 2 different series', not necessary to read both - but highly recommend at least reading Arrowood series since Hadley is a main character across all 4 books - you basically get to watch her grow up and then read this book!!. I read the Hennington brothers series way back in 2019 so I really don't remember any of them, but the characters that connect appear in the Arrowood series!!

Destined For Me by Corrine Michaels was A Come Back for Me and a Say You’ll Stay crossover novella between the Hennington and Arrowood’s second generation.
I really enjoyed Cayden and Hadley, as well as the sibling, cousins, parents, aunt and uncle involvements. I also enjoyed the enemies to lovers constant quarreling as part of the storyline. However, as a novella it was really short and I desired more depth, detail and answers. The overall conflict was addressed and completed but there were minor details that were included but left unfinished. I wanted to know more detail and to have some of the gaps filled in. Otherwise, it was quick and enjoyable. I can’t wait to see more from the second generation.

Destined For Me had me grinning and all in my feels as two of my favorite world’s collided. Corinne Michaels gets me every time with her superb story telling and this is no exception! I could read about Cayden & Hadley forever because they have such explosive chemistry and fantastic banter but their softer moments steal my heart. When her dad told Cayden his disclosure statement, I laughed out loud. I want to read this novella all over again just for that alone! The best part is you can read this as a standalone and if you’ve read other CM stories about any of the characters mentioned, this is a fantastic bonus! I didn’t want Destined For Me to end!

I freaking loved this book!! Perfection.
It was the best way to tied the Arrowoods with the Henningtons.
I always loved Hadley from the very first time we met her in Come Back for Me. She was so strong and had this huge personality. Nothing has changed. I loved the fire that burns inside of her. Plus, her inner commentary is freaking hilarious.
Cayden Benson-Hennington is simply 😍
Absolutely loved the banter between him and Hadley and the determination. I also loved seeing the glimpses with Logan!
Enemies to lovers is one of my all time favorite troupes and this one was perfect.

This was a fun novella. It's a standalone if you don't know who the characters are, and it's a lot of fun if you know who they are and are excited for an update to their story.
Hadley and Cayden were professional rivals with chemistry and, years after their first meeting, there is still a rivalry and a chemistry between them. This chemistry does exactly what it does in life, and they end up exploring what they could have were they together.
The pacing of this story was quicker than a full length novel, but as it's a novella, that makes total sense and it didn't ruin the enjoyment of the story at all.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Il s'agit d'une nouvelle qui sera un crossover entre deux romans, à savoir Come back for me et Say you'll stay. On y retrouve les enfants des héros de ces deux romans et nous aurons clairement un enemies to lovers. Je n'ai pas été gênée par le côté court de la nouvelle car c'est le format mais par un retournement de situation qui commence à m'énerver dans les romances actuelles.
Bref, j'ai passé un bon moment avec cette novella car c'est toujours agréable de revoir d'anciens personnages. Corinne Michaels nous offre une petite parenthèse très sympathique avec cette novella.

For those of us who LOVE the Arrowood family books, this is so special to see Hadley Arrowood all grown up and falling for the lawyer she’s battled and competed with since college. Then there’s Cayden Hennington, opposing council and so arrogant that Hadley convinces herself she hates him. But really, does she? As she and Cayden try to keep things professional, long buried feelings win out.
For those who haven’t read Corinne’s full length books about these families, this novella is a wonderful introduction to them and I bet once you’ve read this, you’ll definitely want to read everything else. You won’t be sorry.
And, Corinne, of course you made me tear up. Connor Arrowood remains my very favorite and he doesn’t disappoint here in dad mode.

I was so excited to read little Hadley's love story now that she's all grown up. 🥺 Even though I haven't read Say You'll Stay YET, Destined for Me was such a fun crossover. I loved being reunited with the Arrowoods even if it was brief. I enjoyed this sweet and quick read, but I almost wish it was longer. It makes me wonder if we'll get some other characters' stories in the future. 👀

Fast forward to the present and they are opposing counsel. They still affect each other, and they both want each other.

This is a short novella filled with fun, chemistry, romance and family. Fans of Corinne’s other books will love it, and book lovers can get an introduction to both series if they haven’t read it.

A Spicy Novella, enemy to lovers a mix of the Hennington’s and the Arrowood’s. Cayden and Hadley are both successful Lawyers in the city, both connected to a case they are working against each other one. Then something unexpected comes, will love win or will Hadley keep being stubborn. I love seeing the OGs and I hope Logan gets a book!

I loved the banter and undeniable chemistry between Cayden and Hadley. These enemies to lovers, work place romance Novella characters are based off of previous favorite prior series. I loved Hadley and knowing her backstory, I was happy to see how she excelled at her job as an attorney. The attraction between Cayden and Hadley was palpable.

They both have strong feelings for each other, but they are both stubborn & try to fight their attraction for one another Their banter is off the charts as well as their chemistry.
Another smashing hit from Corrine Michaels in the form of enemies to lovers romance. I loved Hadley & Cayden’s story to bits. It has all the signature Corinne tropes - close knit family, humour & a great love story with so much steam & chemistry.
I devoured this book in one sitting; I loved it ~ It was ADDICTING in the best way!!! What a fantastic novella bringing my favourite families together.

Now listen.. I LOVED THIS!!! Like hello? A cross over i’m sure many wanted and maybe many didn’t know they wanted till now. I was given an ARC of this book and let me just say i am so good damn happy. This book has a mix of enemies to lovers with a slight work place rivalry. This book actually had me kicking my feet and all excited because i could actually feel the tension inside the words in this book that being from there actions, thoughts and words. I was unexpected to like this so much seeming as it’s a novella but no i absolutely loved it! it’s a nice short and easy read that you don’t have to read the two series before it. (but it would be best if you did) The only reason i didn’t rate this a 5 stars was because i hadn’t read the full two series but if i had then read this i know for sure this would be a five star read.
