Fantastic! Published in 1972, to introduce German speaking youth to the Guerilla movement CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? With the RAF doing street guerilla ("Stadtguerilla") at home and stuff?

I am AMAZED that this book was greenlit by a major publisher of young adult literature / non-fiction titles.

I need to learn more about Che, we need a new Che, the idealism he had about the proletariat rising up that arguably was his demise in Bolivia I SHARE THAT SAME IDEALISM!

Anyhow = so many amazing characters, Jorge Vasquez Viana who studied in Munich, Tania aka Tamara Bunke who was a hero in former East Germany, Regis Debray - the French "class traitor" (like many he came from privilege) who went into the jungle with Che - is actually STILL alive according to Wikipedia, and he is quoted in the book when he spoke at his trial in 1967:

"Guevara had no time in the Bolivian jungle to build up a liberation army but that was his idea. This is a difficult and it may seem utopian to some, but this idea is invincible and one day it will triumph!"
