I loved Freddy and Mistress Camille together.
Golden Angel has given us another couple to fall in love with, Mistress Camille and Freddy spend New Year’s Eve together then meet again across the table from one another each representing their client in their divorce proceedings…can we say AWKWARD 😉
I have really been enjoying this series and Freddy is one person that is a constant presence in each of the books, he is a submissive that works at the club and has befriended just about everyone there and they all know if they have questions or need help he is the person to go to.
Mistress Camille is visiting Marquis as her friend Mistress Julie's guest while she rediscovers herself, a part of herself that she has push aside for a few years but has decided it's time to revisit the Domme in her and get her groove back.
I loved the way Golden Angel didn't shy away from giving Freddy exactly what he needed, a strong confident woman both inside and outside of the bedroom that was still mindful enough that she allowed Freddy to be who he was...the perfect service submissive. It may have taken him a while to find the one but there's no denying that Camille is the perfect woman for him.
There is a bit of angst but nothing over the top and this book set up the next in the series nicely, I am really looking forward to SHALLOW SUBMISSION which is due out in October.
If you enjoy STEAMY Contemporary Romances, BDSM Romances, or Interracial Romances I would recommend this book to you.

March 7, 2023It's release day! Happy release day to me!!!! I'm so excited that Freddy's story is finally here. He's been waiting such a long time! Partly because I never intended to write a story for him, I thought he'd get his happy ending and we'd see it from the POV of other characters... because writing FemDom isn't my usual. But I've started to enjoy it more and more and with Freddy and Camille, it turned out to be easy. They're SO good for each other. Everything about them together just made me happy. A few bumps along the way? Absolutely. But overall, these two were MADE for each other!

I adored Freddy and Camille. These two were so perfect for each other. The book is easy to read and engaging. Steam, drama, emotion, kink, and big feels make you eager to keep those pages turning. Another awesome entry for an irresistibly hot and fun series. This is my unbiased, unsolicited review.

Freddy finally gets his Domme! I have loved seeing a Freddy every-time he popped up in the many Stronghold/Marguis stories. He has always been everyone’s cheerleader and has patiently waited for his turn at a HEA. Camellia is a special woman for an incredible sub! Love love loved their story!

Freddy has always been a favourite and now he has his own story and what a great story it was. Julie persuaded Camille to come to Marquis and rediscover her Domme. Julie was also responsible for introducing her to Freddy and it turned out to be a match made in heaven. This is such a lovely story and there is no angst in their relationship that is almost insta love. Freddy is so good for Camille and in return Camille gives him not only what he wants but what he needs. I am not usually a fan of Domme/sub stories but this one was very enjoyable and I am so glad I read it.

FREDDY!!!! I’ve been hoping and waiting on his book since the very first Stronghold books. A lawyer by day, kinky submissive working at kink clubs by night. Camille was an excellent choice for him. Also a lawyer by day and Domme by night, Freddy and Camille just fit together. 💜

Lucky for him,Golden Angel knows who that is,and she gives him what he’s been craving for for so long.
The ARC of this beauty was such a delight to read,and leaving an honest review is easy….i loved every second!
Camille has been slowly suffocating at the law firm she works for,and needs to find herself back,badly.
Lucky for her,her friend Julie knows exactly what she’s been missing,and once she’s at Marquis,it feels like she can finally breathe again….
Especially when she sees the most delicious sub,Freddy.
Playing with him is refreshing,talking with him is easy.
Until the day arrives she,and the a**hole she represents (because the partners of her firm refuse to burn their hands on this one) meet the woman who wants to divorce him,and her lawyer….
Shock,shame and worry wage a war in her when it turns out to be the very same man that’s haunted her mind since that wonderful night.
Will he judge her for the way her client acts,for the place she works at?
Even though she had a very good reason to work there?
Will this mean they’re done before they really got started?

Quick Summary: A kink and fetish coupling with an insta 💓
My Review: Legally Bound by Golden Angel was book five in the Masters of Marquis series. Overall, the book was an ok read. It was stacked with characters. It revealed the exploits of many club members and presented their crisscrossing stories.
At the heart of this installment, readers discover Freddy and Camille. Both leads are lawyers for opposing firms, yet they don't know it. Prior to meeting across the table, they scene together at a gathering. They click so well and want more. When they find themselves in an unavoidable situation, they are shocked. How will they choose to handle their special circumstance?
My Final Say: There are many things that can be said about this book. Off the top, readers will find this book to be eye-opening. There was so much detail placed in the various K and F scenarios. They will see unique dom-sub relationships. They will be exposed to gender roles and the associated power and/or perceptions linked to them. They will also see a multicultural mash up.
While I was able to follow along with the story fairly well, I got lost with some of the storylines of supporting cast. There was so much referenced that I wish I knew about. Generally, I am able to read installment books out of sequence, with no problems. This one was a yea but no, in terms of that. Still, I walked away being able to see a shared interest in more from the featured couple.
Lastly, some of the revealed content seemed to show inconsistencies. Without spoiling anything for other readers, I'll just say that a couple of times, things were mentioned by one of the characters as being a like, then later, it was like it had not even been mentioned. I was thrown off by this.

Finally, after being a side character throughout the Stronghold and Marquis series, Freddy gets a book of his own!
Freddy is the one everyone goes to when they need something. Eager to please and protective of his fellow subs, he loves to take care of people, but has no one to take care of him.
Camille has been out of the kink world for a couple of years. Ever since she had to take a job that crushes her soul, she lost herself as a Domme and a woman. But she is ready to reclaim herself, and maybe even a sub. Since the first time they meet in a New Year's Eve party, Freddy has been on her mind. Even being out of the loop for so many years, it's obvious that Freddy is special, and they have a lot of potential as a couple. That is until they find themselves on opposite sides of the table by their clients who are going through a nasty divorce procedure. Will they manage to find their HEA or will the conflict of interest tear them apart?
This story is a great mix of heart and kink. I love that with every new book in the series we get to visit old friends and learn more about the main characters of the future books in the series . Will we eventually find out who is Mistress Julie secret admire? Will someone finally put Noelle in her place and stop her from causing trouble? I'm sure Golden Angel has everything already plotted in her mind, we just need to sit (not so) patiantly and wait for the answers to come. I loved this book, as always with Golden Angel, it is a pure fun read.

I'm just gonna say it, I'm not a fan of Fem-Dom Romances. Most authors can't do them well. But I've read the Stronghold and Marquis series faithfully and LOVED Freddy as a secondary character. Golden Angel gave him an amazing Domme and HEA. Camille is a high powered attorney who's been out of the scene a while. Coming to Marquis on New Year's Eve she meets Freddy and sparks fly. The next Monday they discover they are adversaries across the legal table. The scenes at Marquis/ Stronghold were HAWT, but I must admit I felt their date scenes were so organic and natural. I loved that there were conflicts, but these weren't insurmountable. These characters talked to one another. And the side story of drama at the clubs and multiple friend groups that sometimes overlap and sometimes conflict is so real life I felt as if I could be in this world. Great hook for the next story in the series.

Camille and Freddy are truly made for each other. Something I loved about this couple is the way the make the other better. Their chemistry is out of discussion. They’re so hot together! But when they’re dealing with the external issues surrounding them is when they shine the most. Their interactions are organic and believable.
This is book 5 of the Masters of Marquis series. I haven’t read previous books yet—in fact, this my first book from this author—and I found this one very revealing. All the details brought from the Dom/sub dynamics and culture are fascinating and instructive in a weird but interesting way. Also, there are real conflicts you can relate. A book well written with wonderful dialogues, spectacular settings and scenes perfectly structured, the story achieved its goal: getting you hooked with the series. I will go check previous books of course! Needless to say that I’m looking forward for future books on this series.

Legally Bound by Golden Angel is the story of Freddy and Camille. She’s been a lawyer at a prestigious firm for 5 years. Her friend tells her she needs to get back to her fun! At the club, she meets Freddy…who has his own…enjoyments. Little do they know, things are about to get deep….really deep….
Very enjoyable read!! Not a genre I read often but, it was surprisingly very, very good!!! This author writes honestly, realistically, and with a deftly!!! Lovely and generous writing style, fluid and seamless story line!! Just a delightful read!!! Absolutely ADORED Freddy….what an absolute doll1!!

Freddy is the most caring, kind and protective guy. Being a submissive it’s an interesting juxtaposition with his career as a divorce lawyer, where he can display a more forceful and dominant side. This blend makes him such a great character to read as he doesn’t fit into any box. Add in Camille who has put aside everything in life for her career and her quest to start reengaging in life. Their chemistry is instant and off the charts. Once they realize they are opposing lawyers in a messy divorce battle, the struggle to keep things professional becomes real. This is a great read and definitely hot, hot, hot! Their hea is especially satisfying as they are both so deserving of someone who will take care of them.

I was so happy to see that Freddy got his own book and his own HEA. After always being a great support for everyone else at the club, he deserved to find his match. Camille is perfect for him. They are both sweet and low key and seem to have the same hopes for their futures. This book is less angsty than a lot of the other Stronghold books and I think that's exactly what Freddy deserved. A very sweet love story and an excellent addition to this series.

It's finally Freddy's turn. Freddy is one of my favorite characters. I love how caring and protective he is of tge other subs, but you don't want to get on his bad side. We see a whole new side of Freddy and I love how he learns more about himself in the book.
Camille is the perfect domme for Freddy and I love how she took charge of her own life and happiness.

Not only did Camille have what Freddy desired, but he also provided for her missing needs. Submissive or dominant, both sides require tenderness, caring and compassion. Understanding the dynamic doesn't necessarily mean immersing into the lifestyle completely. Good thing, because in the courtroom, Freddy is a tiger.

I was given this book for free in exchange for a review of my honest thoughts.
I LOVED THIS BOOK. I’ve only read one other really good fem Domme book, which was Mercy by Sara Cate, and 🤫 I think I like this one better. I like this one better because while Camille has been out of the game for a while, she does not let that deter her confidence. And Freddy is a submissive who knows what he wants and is confident in his submission. This book is 3rd POV, just FYI. It threw me off when I started the book, but it ended up not bothering me.
Literally, the ONLY problem I had with this book was instalove and not enough angst. But I am a sadistic bitch who lives for the dark shit. I still really enjoyed this book.
Golden Angel was a new-to-me author, but I will be reading more of her books!!!

I adored this story. Freddy is a fierce (but adorable) lawyer by day, and an unattached submissive by night. Camille is a fierce (and gorgeous) downtrodden lawyer by day (ugh, that law firm is the worst), and has been out of the lifestyle for years. Their meeting on NYE is fireworks, but their next meeting is as opposing divorce lawyers. But these two are perfect for each other, and nothing will keep them apart. Loved seeing how Freddy - friend to all - learns how to actually have friends. And Camille learns she has options. And together they are going to have the best HEA. Another lovely, hawt foray into the Marquis/Stronghold world. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Legally Bound was my first book by Golden Angel, and it most certainly will not be my last. It not only had spice, but it also had an intriguing plot. I was quickly invested not only in the characters but also in each of their stories. I loved how the dynamic personalities from play to “real life” and back again were embraced and showcased.
I had zero expectations, but I am glad to have picked up this book. I have added the rest of this series to my TBR and look forward to devouring them.

I've always like Freddy, so when he gets his own story, I'm instantly intrigued. Freddy and Camille are such a perfect couple, and I loved every single minute of it. This book is an easy read, along with being very engaging. It's packed full of drama, steam, kink and lots of emotion. Once you start this book, you won't want to put it down.

Really hard to write review for this book. I like this series or maybe I should say idea of this series. Books in this series are bland. Especially this one. There was no anticipation, no excitement, basically no drama (good or bad kind). It was predictable. Even sex scenes were boring and repetitive. And again, too many information about future couples. I was really looking forward to reading Zack and Kincaid story. But I already know so much about they relationship that I am losing my interest in the couple. Author also keeps adding books in the series before this couple, so I think there will be no point in their book. And finally please stop this evil roommate trope (cannot remember her name). Because at this point I am afraid that she will main character in one of the following books (she and Connor is my guess).

Obsessed with dominant woman books but this fell flat.
-WAY too much time spent with side characters. I don’t like skimming books that I pay for, but I skimmed those scenes. They were not significant to the plot, why are we spending more time on them rather than the main couple?
—-I feel like the overall plot wasn’t strong enough, so over explanations and long conversations with/about other characters were added to fill out the book.
——Also, lots of this book was just setting up for the next book/couple. The entire epilogue was about another couple.
-Both main characters were very likable, but not that interesting. Bland.

Freddy has always been one of my favorite submissive at Marquis… He takes care of everyone else… but who takes care of him? We’ve watched him, throughout all of the books, be there for every one of his friends in so many ways. He is caring and loyal, almost to a fault. He puts everyone else above himself.. and when he has something to share.. he doesn’t know who to share it with.
When Camille ventures back into the kink world and comes to the club with her friend Julie, she’s been away awhile and isn’t sure whether she’ll find someone. She’s hoping to meet someone just to scene with to get that part of herself back… and Julie has someone in mind. When she enters the club, she begins to feel it again.. hopefully she can find someone that she connects with. She watches an interaction that touches her greatly, she approaches a submissive and puts herself out there….. and the fun begins.
I’ve been a Freddy fan.. from the first time he appeared in a Golden Angel book…and he’s even more endearing to me now. When he and Camille meet and get to know one another, it’s sweet.. kinky.. but sweet. There are a few twists and turns.. and interesting happenings. It’s a fun read and worth the time!!
This book is full of moments you will love… the meeting and building of this relationship is one you’ll love. I’m like this series so much… each character, each storyline… gets better and better, and brings together this family of people whom we just want to know more about. A wonderful addition to series, great characters and scenario that will hold you between its pages
This is the fifth book in what to now has been an excellent series with every book being totally different, different characters and different scenario’s and I guarantee that you will be as engrossed by this wonderful read it is simply wonderful.
Camille is being introduced to the world of kink and her eyes and expressions and what she thinks of the various lifestyles and all that is involved in this world is wonderfully written and you feel that you are able to interpret and I understand better what the book and the characters are about and even if you begin at this book in the series, you will find this still to be an easy read to follow.
Freddy has finally been given his dream and for those of you that have been reading the series will be pleased that finally he was given his match and the chemistry between these two is simply wonderful, it is a slow simmer to a burn and then a simmer again.
I guarantee that once you start reading you will not put the book down until you reach the end and for other readers that have not read previous book, I guarantee you will rush and read those books that came before this and will be inspired.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Steamy Conflict of Interest!
Camille has stayed in a soul-sucking job at Donaldson Law Group to afford to keep her mother in a nursing home; needed due to her dementia. This means her personal life has been on hold for about five years. Convinced by her friend Julie, to come to Stronghold on New Year’s for a break and to recover her Mistress side, she meets Freddy. They definitely hit it off:
“That was lovely,” Mistress Camille said, running her hand over his back again. “Very good boy,” She was going to kill him. It was as though
she’d dug into his psyche and figured out every one of his highest pleasures. That or we’re just really well matched.
When they meet “in real life” they must put their relationship on hold – they are both lawyers – on opposite sides of the table.
I love how these characters are presented, and really feel like the reader gets to know them. The personal and professional pulls, the challenges each are going through, and all the friends and family involved. This is a delightful read

I have read all of the books in this world -- from the original Venus Rising series through Stronghold Doms and now Masters of Marquis. So the primary and secondary characters are well known to me.
Freddy has been a long-standing and utterly delightful character in the clubs. A caring and gentle submissive in the clubs who shows his teeth as a very competent lawyer when such is needed. So now he gets his HEA.
There is virtually no angst in the relationship. Freddy and Mistress Camille fall fast and hard. The discovery that they are opposing counsel in a divorce case adds some "now what do we do?" drama, but gives neither of them a doubt about their mutual attraction.
The sex and the D/s components are hot and great. The depiction of the gossipy environment of Stronghold is quite entertaining. I suspect that readers who have not read the previous books could get confused by those scenes.
This is simply a very sweet read. Quite enjoyable.

'Legally Bound' is the fifth book in Golden Angel's "Masters of Marquis" series and I have to admit, Freddy has been one of my favorite characters since he was first introduced way back when. Needless to say, I was a bit giddy when I found out I was going to finally get his story, and what a story it is. And Camille? Wow, what an introduction to this kinky world! The heat and chemistry between these two are just enviable. For those of us who have been rooting for Freddy all this time, Ms. Angel came through and gave him his match made in Heaven, or at least in Marquis. What a swoon-worthy pair these two make. Of course, the drama that has been brewing at Stronghold is still there, coming to a slow boil and we were right there with the rest of them to witness it. I can't wait to see how the wedding trip turns out and what comes next.

4 star Review Legally Bound (Masters of Marquis #5) by Golden Angel
I haven’t read any books in the Master of Marquis series but I was able to read this one as a standstand-alone. This is Freddy and Camille’s story, and it was an entertaining read that ticked a number of boxes for me.
All it takes is one night for Freddy to know he has finally found the Domme of his dreams in Camille at Marquis. However complications arise when they find themselves as opposing council in a bitter divorce. They have no choice but to put aside their fledgling Domme/sub relationship as their clients must come first.
Freddy was such a loveable character, such a caring sub and Camille she is a talented, loyal and protective Domme. The connection between them was strong and it was heart warming to watch as their relationship developed.
