Masked Innocence is the continuance of Brad and Julia’s story from Blindfolded Innocence. This story has more of everything. More suspense, more steam, more drama, and more getting to know and love these characters. I was on the fence about Mr. DeLuca after book one when he pulled that Vegas stunt, but now I see the big picture and I adore him! Julia too- she is young, but she’s not dumb. She is stronger than she appears and can handle some tough situations. With every Alessandra Torre book I read, I get so invested in these characters. I just want to know what’s going to happen and how things will turn out with them. I am so excited to start the final book and see how their journey ends!

4 sexy stars
Sweet Mother of God, Brad de Fucking Luca, come to Momma. NOW! First book in this series was an OK read for me, a 3.5 stars - if I was an author would I be happy with a 3.5 - I would like to think so. But it had a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews from friends. It was a good enough read that I wanted to continue the story of Brad and Julia.
Not going to say too much but we had an element of mystery/suspense which I loved. Cannot wait for the last book in the series and I am so happy that I don’t have to wait for it.
I felt the couple had matured a bit from the first book. In my mind he is 40 (that was his oringal age plan from the author – am I right here?) … and she is about 26. Hey, it is MY REVIEW. I can imagine what I want – ain’t that so Allison?

This is not a conventional love story. It's erotic, it pushes boundaries.... It's kinky lovely... It takes me to another world, one I would never go to in real life, but it's fiction and I get to sample the delight through the characters, ones that have been lovingly developed until they appear as real as you or me.
In the second book of the Innocence series we see Julia and Brad continue their life adventure together. This book takes a direction I hadn't anticipated, it introduces suspense and intrigue, DANGER... It gave me layers and depth... It evolved before my reading eyes and I ADORED it!!
Julia continues to be her feisty self. She shows great humour and sass and has a great personality with heroine ways. She tells Mr De Luca how it is, and is not afraid to speak her mind and even say NO to the formidable Brad…. She’s an innocent but in equal measures she’s a vixen…. She becomes more attuned to her body and her wants with every passing page and scenario…. It’s pure delight to read and experience.
I love the way Julia processes EVERYTHING in her mind.... From her unconventional situation to her sexuality…
It’s all open and honest, he’s not pushy...
He’s completely dreamy… In EVERY way!
“I enjoy the flirtations of being single….” Could he enjoy an alternative flirtation more? Could a relationship between them work?

On reflection my thoughts and feelings clearly reflected Julia's.... Alessandra Torre, you're a clever lady I was overtaken by the eroticism of it….. It’s far removed for my own 'real life' but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the pleasure of reading... Delicious kink!!

I love the way AT reveals the captivating story through the characters, their words and thoughts, we see glimpses of other points of view which works simply wonderfully.... Especially Brad. Can't get enough of his inner thoughts...
The climax of Innocence 2? Well I adored it beyond words, it was sublime in it’s beauty. Exquisite in it’s quality. Book tingly magic…. Leading me straight and flawlessly to The End of Innocence.

4.5 Not so Innocent anymore Stars
If you haven't yet read Blindfolded Innocence, do not read my review. There's no spoilers for this book, but there will be spoilers of book 1. You've been warned ;)
Masked Innocence starts immediately where Blindfolded Innocence ends. Julia and Brad are together, but keeping the relationship a secret. Brad has taken Julia completely out of her comfort zone in her sexuality, but she's reveling in it. She's finding out that she's not quite the good girl she thought herself to be.
Good thing, Julia, since Brad's kink is to swing.
While this book had a good share of it's steamy moments, it was a much different feel in comparison to book one. With the murder of one the law firm's partner, we get a sense of intrigue and suspense. Julia has the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and asking too many questions, and now her life hangs in the balance. Who is threatening her life? And just who is Brad De Luca?
Brad is determined to protect Julia at all cost, even his own life. But that certainly doesn't stop him from having her anywhere he can. There was kitchen sex, masked party menage sex, office sex...
Well you get the idea here...
Julia and Brad's relationship continues to evolve into something deeper. Brad finds himself doing something that he never imagined himself doing; falling for her. And you know what they say? The bigger they are...
As much as I love Brad, I really love Julia's sassy personality. I found her to be his perfect match. She really gave as good as she got
The book leaves off in a HFN-ish type ending, but there is still danger looming in the future. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of Julia and Brad's story and seeing what the future has in store for them.

I will continue to keep my eyes open and senses awake… because I know deep in my heart… there will be a time… when I will cross paths with one of those men we talked about… but until then… I have Brad De Luca.

5 Fan*freaking*tastic Stars
This book picks up right where Blindfold Innocence ended. You know that Brad doesn't do normal. He needs more from sex and Julia has found out that she likes Brad's fetish. The last scene in Blindfold Innocence was "off the chart sizzling" and Julia loved it and has now embarked on a relationship with the super sexy, super suave, super charismatic Mr. DeLuca.
One aspect of this book is about their relationship and how it grows. Julia is young but really beyond her years. She keeps up with Brad. She is intelligent, she's snarky, she funny and most of all....
The other aspect of this book involves a murder. Someone that both Julia and Brad know and it becomes a major issue for the both of them. Julia is in grave danger because of the murder. This book picks up right where Blindfold Innocence ended. You know that Brad doesn't do normal. He needs more from sex and Julia has found out that she likes Brad's fetish. The last scene in Blindfold Innocence was "off the chart sizzling" and Julia loved it and has now embarked on a relationship with the super sexy, super suave, super charismatic Mr. DeLuca.
One aspect of this book is about their relationship and how it grows. Julia is young but really beyond her years. She keeps up with Brad. She is intelligent, she's snarky, she funny and most of all....
The other aspect of this book involves a murder. Someone that both Julia and Brad know and it becomes a major issue for the both of them. Julia is in grave danger because of the murder. Devouring Brad De Luca. Hot damn!
Masked Innocence picks up on the heels of Blindfolded Innocence. If you haven't read that, stop reading as this will contain mild spoilers for that book.
Brad has admitted his feelings for Julia, but also his hang-ups on committing to sex with one person for the rest of his life. Complete monogamy is not his thing...but a bit of swinging with Julia present is perfection. It's his kink and after the scene at the end of Blindfolded Innocence, Julia can definitely handle a bit of...sharing. They agree to try this lifestyle.
The book started out with a complete sultry sex fest and I loved it! I had read the original version of book one, which was a bit tame compared to the newest version, I hear. Still, I loved it to pieces but this book ramped right up. In Masked Innocence, a gruesome murder occurs within the characters, secrets come out, and Julia's safety is suddenly at risk. The once arrogant man-whore, non-committal Brad De Luca has to decide if Julia is worth putting everything he's built for all these years on the line to keep her safe. Is this still just a fling or is he actually having serious feelings for his partner's intern beyond sex?
I like the spin this book took. It went from all focus on their relationship to a suspense novel. I loved the growth of Brad as the story proceeds. It's not the insta-love but it is a guy admitting his lifestyle of past won't work with a woman like Julia. And even when he tries to act like the upstanding long-term commitment type...he fails. Hilariously.
"To the most wonderful woman I have ever met. May we spend the rest of our lives together."
"That's your toast?" My brow furrowed and I kept my glass raised, interrupting his sip of bubbly liquid.
He looked at me, wounded. "You don't approve?"

Julia is feisty, strong, and has an awesome sense of humor. Their relationship is refreshing that way with their banter. A. Torre is great at giving her readers strong heroines and for that I'm thankful.
And tough-as-nails "housekeeper" Martha? She was a star of the show. Why he puts up with her, I'm not sure but we grow to love her banter with everyone!
The book leaves off on a bit of a cliffy. They're HFN but huge things lurking in the shadows for the next day...

I was honored to read an ARC of this book! This book... I'm feeling a little speechless at the moment.
I was completely enthralled with this story and these characters in Blindfolded Innocence. I had my assumptions as to where the story would go in this sequel but I could not have been more wrong, and I could not be happier that I was!
Blindfolded Innocence left off with Julia embracing this lifestyle that Brad insisted was necessary in order for them to begin to pursue a relationship together. That, in and of itself, was both completely HOT and also hard to swallow. (No pun intended.) The rational, monogamous part of my brain wants these characters to remain exclusive, with no foreign body parts being invited into the inner sanctum, ever. But the other part, the part that loved the idea that these characters want a committed relationship, but also want to expand their sexual boundaries by inviting other people into the sexual facet of their relationship finds the entire scenario completely sexy. It's such a double edged sword, wanting them to only desire each other, yet accepting that this is a mutual desire on both their parts that makes these characters just perfect together.
However... my assumption was that, going into Masked Innocence, this book would be entirely about these characters exploring their new sexual relationship... with chapters upon chapters of threesomes and sex parties. I was so glad to be wrong. And hello!... I should have known better. While this book definitely takes us inside that aspect of the relationship, this story remains Brad and Julia's. And I needed that desperately.
This book took me in a direction that I never saw coming. Alessandra Torre continues to shock and amaze me with her gift... building on a story that you think you know but truly have barely brushed the surface on. She continues to delve into the lives of these characters, unearthing secrets and facets of their personalities that we've yet to see. And this just makes me adore them more than I thought was possible.
This dramatic turn in the story line was so unexpected... It provided for such a twist in this already engaging story. So much transpires in these pages, I was completely blindsided in only the very best way. I grew to love these characters more than I thought was possible, all while taking this beautiful, yet sometimes dire journey right along with them.
This is my very favorite kind of romance... these beautifully developed characters, this perfectly compelling story, this painstaking hope of getting a happy ending, yet being terrified the entire time that I won't.
I can only imagine where the final book will take Brad, Julia and myself (yes, myself... I'm going too!) I'm refraining from making assumptions because in pure Alessandra Torre style, she will blow apart my expectations undoubtedly. This author and her writing are just TOO good. Her writing is brilliant, her ability to create these characters and their remarkable lives and their absorbing stories has me in awe yet again. I long for more of her words.
I'll be hiding in Alessandra's bushes, digging through her garbage just to read her grocery list, and licking her windows until I can get my hands on book 3.

This series gets better and better with each book!
After having spent time in Brad's head ( The Diary of Brad De Luca ), I couldn't wait to dive into book 2 to see what happens next with one of my favorite heroes!
Alessandra didn't disappoint with this installment!

Masked Innocence continues the story of Julia and Brad's relationship. I love these two together.
Julia gets a taste for Brad's sexual lifestyle when they are invited to a "party" this again was very HOT.
I enjoyed reading how their relationship is progressing getting more series and they start doing normal couple stuff together besides all the sex which is getting steamier.
I loved the suspense element in this it had me gripped I could not wait to find out what was going to happen next.
Looking forward to reading End of Innocence the conclusion to their story.

Masked Innocence is the second installment in Alessandra Torre's erotic/romance trilogy titled Innocence. Masked Innocence picks up where Blindfolded Innocence left off, and has a similar writing style as it starts with a glimpse at a later scene and then slowly catches up. However, a significant difference between the two books is thriller/mystery element...and then a huge revelation at the end. Ms. Torre definitely knows how to keep her readers invested in a continuing storyline! If you enjoy erotic series/trilogies, consider picking up Innocence. Please read in order though. It's not just sex thank God- there are great characters and an interesting story to follow as well. Check it out!

Fucking brilliant! I've read the first book last year and liked it a lot, but there was no way I could've thought that it would take this turn.
It had it all, romance, suspense, mystery, humor, out of this world hot sex scenes and even a murder. My favorite combination.

4 Solid Brad Stars for me
Mr Brad De Luca is back...
First of all this starts off exactly where Blindfold Innocence finishes.
Brad says he doesn't do love. He's happy to give this relationship with Julia a try and he's very honest with her from the start...this is never going to be a conventional relationship. Will his feelings change once they both become entangled in murder and Mafia crime?
Brad knows that maybe he will need to do a lot more to keep Julia safe.
What really do we know about Brad..... does Julia really know him. We find some very interesting things out about him as this story unfolds.
And Julia...will she still want to stay with him when the truth comes out?
My thoughts
Julia...She has come along way since her first meeting with Brad and although she is head strong there are signs of her immaturely at times.
Brad is older than her and while she seems mature, she still has that vulnerability.
At times I did question some of her decisions.
As she decides to continue her relationship with Brad, so she delves further into his sexual lifestyle.
This opens all sorts of feelings for her, but her main concern is that she realises that her feelings for Brad are becoming stronger.
What he wants...can she give and is she ready.
Then we have Martha, the housekeeper, looking out for Brad. She is loyal and protective... the way she see's his new relationship with Julia is interesting to say the least and understandable.
She is very to the point but I have a feeling she will try and protect Julia too.
Full of suspense, romance and lust Masked Innocence sucks you back in with the ever consuming Brad De Luca. His presence...everything about him consumes this story.
He's sexual and caring and you can see why Julia wants to be with him so much.
Masked Innocence has a slightly different feel. In a good way.. Brad seems softer now but still in control and it takes their story into a different direction.
Was It worth the wait Oh yes without a doubt but in my opinion Alessandra Torre never disappoints.
Can't wait for End of Innocence to complete the final part of their journey...

Masked Innocence begins just where Blindfold Innocence leaves off; Brad and Julia are willing to take a chance to see where this relationship will go. He'll be faithful (when they are not sharing each other's bodies with a stranger), she'll be willing to try his sexual lifestyle. But this story doesn't stay focused solely on their bedroom activities. As they both navigate a relationship that can either be enough to fulfill both their desires, or be something that ruins them both; they find themselves placed in the middle of a life or death situation.
When an unexpected murder occurs Brad is forced to bare his soul and his secrets to the woman that he is falling hard for. The woman that might be able to give him everything he wants, not only behind closed doors but in the public eye as well.
"You are someone I could fall in love with." His words were surprised, unsure, words that had probably been shelved in a forgotten closet for quite some time."
"I fell for the feisty, smart-ass Julia that calls me on my shit. But I'm owned by the vixen that you become behind closed doors."
The twist this story took was completely surprising but I loved every minute of it. What I anticipated being a highly charged erotic read, filled to the brim with sexual encounters and orgies was slowly turned into a romance with a touch of suspense. As the truth is discovered about Brad's past and the danger that Julia finds herself in after a few overheard words. This danger forces Brad to make a decision, he hasn't known Julia long but he knows that he loves her and that he can't lose her.
I loved how Alessandra Torre was able to shape this story into so much more than just a steamy romance read but giving the story line such depth and so much more content than just some fantastically written sex scenes. I love a pure erotic read as much as the next reader, but I really need to have a story to go along with it to fully enjoy the experience. One thing is certain, Ms. Torre delivers on both counts. I loved the way she gives us a paragraph here and there to build the anticipation as to what to expect next without giving too much away.
I was unsure as to how I was going to feel about the whole 'sharing is caring' theme I was expecting. And although I was filled with anxiety with the first scene I was completely at ease by the end of it. Everything that Julia was expressing in what she originally viewed were my own fears that I had running through my head. The way Alessandra Torre was able to put those fears at ease alongside Julia's own realization was perfection.
I cannot wait to read The End of Innocence although the blurb for this book has me a little worried. I want a happily ever after and I hope I just don't get gutted too badly along the way.

I gave Masked Innocence 4 STARS because I loved how it was very sensual, with an added touch of suspense and a slice of humor. Brad already had that tall, broad and sexy vibe. Now it’s tall, broad, sexy and dangerous as the story begins to head down a deadly road.

I gave Masked Innocence 4 STARS because I loved how it was very sensual, with an added touch of suspense and a slice of humor. Brad already had that tall, broad and sexy vibe. Now it’s tall, broad, sexy and dangerous as the story begins to head down a deadly road.

4 I need more Brad Stars!
Brad and Julia need to keep their relationship a secret. Julia especially wants to keep it quiet, not wanting the backlash in the office with her being an intern. Julia's feelings for Brad have developed to the point where she is bursting with love for him.
Brad is realizing that he can't be without Julia either. He can't get enough of her. Plus, he is enjoying bringing out her deepest, darkest desires behind closed doors.

I felt like I was waiting years for this book! After reading and really liking Blindfolded Innocence, I was anxiously anticipating the continuation of Brad and Julia's story. So a year and a half later, gheesh! I got it.
So was the anticipation worth it? Yes and no.
I liked many things about this book. It's steamy but the sex doesn't take up most of the story. There is an actual plot there and it's interesting in its own right. Brad is an enigma. He's a mysterious and difficult man. He has secrets that he hides well. The plot twist in the last third was something I should have seen coming. The fact I didn't made me feel stupid. Well, me and Julia actually had something in common then.
The pacing was fast and the story never dragged. Brad is sexy, so sexy! But I'm not a fan of his swinger ways. I'm actually hoping he realizes that he doesn't ultimately need them**fingers crossed**. I loved the added suspense and how emotions started taking precedence for Brad and Julia. I'm just hoping Julia's not swinging for Brad's sake, because that will only breed disappointment.
But I didn't like everything. There's a scene early on at a mansion that almost turned me off. It's not the 'Eyes Wide Shut' vibe it had going on, that's fine. It was the fact that Julia wasn't more disturbed. I found her reaction puzzling. I expected her to be angry or irritated at first then accepting, not wholeheartedly embracing everything so fast. But whatever, restrained fantasy and such, I guess. But ultimately I didn't like Julia much. She was egotistical without reason. It was strange, that at 21, she was so full of herself, so innately confident. I loved Brad because despite his confidence and control he was still vulnerable where it counted. Not so much for Julia. Yes, she is afraid of what's to come--I won't elaborate--but I need some humbleness.
So really the only thing that I didn't like was Julia. It does take balls to be with someone like Brad, and maybe that's why the relationship works. This is a really good series and I'm anxious about what happens next after reading the prologue for End of The Innocence! Come on March 25th!

Julia is a feisty, courageous young woman - and she proves it when she saves herself in a certain situation: no need for any knight in shining armour for our Julia!
Alas, I felt that so much of this story was just window dressing: the description of the wedding arrangements, the dress, etc. - I admit to having skimmed over a fair bit of that. The menage a trois scenes were, as usual, very descriptive and thought provoking. I am also not a fan of spanking or choking during descriptions of "the deed." But hey, one person's kink is another person's restraining order. Whatever!
I still enjoyed this series, and was happy to discover that Torre wrote a short novella from Brad's point of view. Brad and Julia De Luca also appear in Hollywood Dirt, although that is a standalone novel. I really enjoy Torre's passionate writing style, even if I am not into all of the very liberal bedroom antics. Enjoy!

She wants Brad but she must be willing to let go of her inhibitions and embrace this new found sexuality Brad wants them as a couple to explore. Goodbye innocent Julia and say hello to the new Julia: confident, sexy, and open-minded.
Brad is willing to be in an exclusive relationship with Julia but there is one catch. He is willing to share Julia when it comes to menage play. They would try new things as couple. Unfortunately, her life now hangs in the balance when word gets out that she needs to be removed permanently. Who is after Julia? How is Brad connected to the murder? What secrets will be unraveled?
Brad finds himself protecting Julia at all cost, even putting his life and career on the line. The development of Julia and Brad goes beyond hot sex and suddenly the two find themselves falling in LOVE!! For Brad, this is a new feeling for him causing him to see a future with Julia.
I really enjoyed reading Masked Innocence. It had elements of steam, intimacy, romance, and suspense. Ms. Torre’s writing is spellbinding and I found myself wanting more of Brad and Julia. I love how readers are curiously awaiting what does the future hold in store for Brad and Julia. Although this book ends in a happily for now, I can’t wait to see what will become of this couple. Is love enough?

This is not your typical normal love story. This will bring you to different kind of relationship that I never think possible in real life,especially to me, but gonna admit, i enjoyed reading every page of it.
Julia and Brad, is the same amazing couple as they are in book one. I love that their relationship was established out of understanding and trust to each other. Maybe because of age difference, but I like them more in this book. Julia is still feisty and funny at times, sometimes I'm thinking she is more mature than brad. The two when together are scorching HOT!! And they professing love, WOW, I want my own BRAD DE LUCA. The turn about of the story is fascinating. I dn't want to give away everything of the story, but I can say that I love this more than first book.
Now, gonna start right away the next book.
