Polar bear loves bouncing, she plays the whole day through. She crouches down, then leaps up high, and shouts out "Peekaboo!" The animals of the snow are brought to swooping, swooshing life in these playful pop-ups that toddlers will adore.

The kids loved this book for storytime! It's a pop-up book with rhymes and it was very fun. They were interactive, they learned some new animal names, and it was loved by all. Definitely one of my favorites to start this year's storytime sessions!
This book is a pop up book about the animals found in the arctic. Introduced are a polar hear, penguins a moose, a whale, a wolf, a seal and an arctic hare. The words are rhyming which always makes a for a sweet children's story. I really enjoyed the illustrations which are rich in color. Each page shows a new animal and has a color theme, adding to the individuality of the animal. The pop up characteristic is fun and entertaining, however I would worry about sharing this book with young kids because it is so tempting to touch the pop ups. Eventually, the pop ups will become ripped, however it is important to remember books will not last forever and it's better to enjoy them to the fullest while they are around! I think the story line is not very entertaining, but the pop ups fill in the gaps that the plot is missing with creativity. The language is appropriate for the young audience that the book is targeting. One good addition is that on each page there is a sound that goes with the animal: swoosh, splash, brrrr, peek-a-boo, boing, hooowwwwwl and squeak.
