Addison Arrowdell writes spicy adult romance that has heat with heart. She believes that even the darkest story should have laugh out loud moments and loves writing witty dialogue.
I loved the original version and then the extended version was just great! I love catching up with Halee and her guys and see a few different POV between the end of first book and beyond!
Road Trip is so freaking good!!! I loved the adventure I went on with Hailee, Carter, Linc, and Jax! Every character was thought out, and I loved having POV's from all of them.
“It doesn’t matter how long we stayed. It only matters that we left.”
This book is sweet, sexy, heartfelt, tender, funny, and passionate. There were times I laughed out loud, I swooned hard, my 🐱 was pulsing, and I was angry for their situation. I loved that above everything, they were friends first. They lacked communication but also excelled in it at other times.
“There’s no better feeling than when you meet someone who speaks to your soul,” Linc agrees. “It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s like finding a missing piece of yourself.”
I loved Hailee. She grew so much from beginning to end. She cared deeply and was very understanding. I loved that Carter was possessive and protective. He would torch this earth for the people he loves. Linc was such a sweet soul. I loved his upbeat personality, and he was the voice of understanding and reason. He was beyond precious. I think Jax surprised me the most. He is my type to a T, and he had so much growth. I loved his character development, and I especially loved his connection with Lincoln.
Carter, Linc and Jax haven’t fixed me. They’ve given me the strength and confidence I needed to do it myself.
If you are looking for a sweet and spicy, Why Choose with ⚔️/ Poly relationship (I'm leaning more on the Poly side, since they all have individual relationships as well as them as a whole unit vs revolving around Hailee only) then this is the book for you! It's low angst and a feel good adventure with 4 people who are running away and finding themselves and love on a road trip.
New to this author but she has made a fan out of me!
When I read the reviews before starting this book, I was a little hesitant because reverse harem and why choose can either be done really good or really bad and people were saying there was insta love. Now after I have read this book, I completely understand and I appreciate the insta love.
To be fair, having a plot where the MFC,Hailee, has to meet 3 strangers on this road trip and it's a why choose, yeah, some instate attraction is needed to make the story make sense LOL but it works! It wasn't like an I saw you and I was automatically in love but more so....I'm drawn to you and I don't understand why but I'm not avoiding it.
I love how everyone had a storyline. There wasn't any one character I felt I didn't get a chance to know more and my God the spice 🥵. Addison did her big one because every scene was chef's kiss. I was a little worried when I read bi-awakening but it was done so tastefully I believed every second.
I also really enjoyed the drama. We knew from the beginning what the drama could be and it was sprinkled throughout the book. I hate books where it is butterflies and rainbows all along and 75% into the book there is random drama. She didn't do that and she also made it believable. When it came to altercations, not everyone is a fighter and that's real life.
I will be reading more of her and I LOVED the extended chapters. It made the book feel so complete!
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever read a why choose romance and I’m kinda hooked now. Road Trip had everything I could ever want. There was adventure, mystery, HAWT men and oh yeah… a LOT of spicy time! Plus, any book with a bi-awakening and I! Am! IN!
While running away from a horrible relationship, Hailee finds not one, not two, but three men on her journey to freedom. Carter meets her in a bar, where she mistakingly thinks he’s gay after mentioning his own awful ex, but lucky for her, he’s definitely bi and VERY into her. Linc is the next one. He’s unbelievably hot and hiding from something, but getting to know someone for who they are is half the fun. And then there’s Jax, the tattooed “straight” guy comes up the rear… I mean, maybe? I guess you’ll have to read it to find out. He’s a mystery in and of himself.
I actually didn’t know I’d be getting sword crossing in this book. I didn’t know what to expect TBH. This was my first foray into Addison Arrowdell’s back list, but I may be hooked now.😂 The smexy scenes were HAWT!🔥🥵I love a sausage fest, but in a MFMM book, you’d think that’s what you’d be getting, but they all play together (after some getting to know you, this isn’t Insta love). Hey! They’re young! Your 20’s is time to explore sexuality… I’m way past there, so I’ll live vicariously through them! 🤩
This book y’all 🥵 It was recommended on a FB Group I’m in and did not disappoint!! Completely out of my norm, but WOW! It’s one that I won’t ever forget!
Basically four compete strangers “running” from their broken pasts, trying to figure out who they really are, who they want to be. Each had their own journey and demons but together they put the broken pieces back together. I loved that this book had that slow burn effect, yes the characters were attracted to each other instantly BUT it wasn’t love from the get go. It made it so much more “real” while they discovered not only themselves but each other and how they all worked together. There’s a lot of 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, some tears, a little suspense and it just mixed perfectly to be one of my favorite reads so far this year!
💕 Reverse Harem 💕 MMMF 💕 Why Choose 💕 Pansexual/Bisexual 💕 Group & Individual Scenes With ⚔️
All I can say is can I be Hailee, for just one day, PLEASE!? 🤤🥵
I didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did.
At first, I thought this was going to be a 3-star read and I was fine with that, because at that time I was only looking for something fun to read. The characters started off as sort of friends with benefits....which makes as they were mostly strangers and had plans to stay together for the expanse of the road trip. I liked how a lot of it was not predictable. It didn't have unnecessary drama. Sometimes the story was very close to being realistic and other times their romance felt magical like they're meant to be together. I liked all the three characters and their dynamics with each other. They were physically attracted to each other first but slowly their relationships became more, much deeper.
I liked how the story was written and how each of their backstories were revealed. Pacing was bored. I wasn't bored at all. Spicy scenes were 🔥 Anyways, I might read Avena's brother's story later.
This book was so different than anything I’ve ever read in the best way possible. How all of this group formed such a bond in a couple days based on not only the physical connection but oh a soul level. Like wow mind blowing how a relationship like there’s could work if the party is willing to fight for each other. The spice, my God, was so over the top like I would be just as confused as them on who does what and boundaries! Oh the boundaries set it to work from the start. Can not stop raving enough about this book and I definitely recommend to anyone who loves spice, hot guys and girls, and drama with all the twists and turns.
This book! I don’t actually know where to start. I loved every single second of it. I ate it up. It’s the first ‘why choose’ where I’ve not had a favourite mmc. I adore them all equally. I also love the mfc. The extension with the epilogues was incredible. It had great, well written spice. Emotion. Angst. Heart. Well written characters that suck you in and hold your attention. Just perfect
I suppose normal is a relevant term, because this book is RH with 3 mmcs and 2 abusive exs, hate crimes, and more crimes. But its the first ive read in a while thats not some sort of paranormal something. So the idea that a relationship like that could actually occur within our world is so beautiful. And the story idea/ plot is so original! I like the characters, the spice scenes arent bad either!
The characters were amazing, the spice was top tier, and the story was fun, sweet, and so special. I went into the book expecting to like it but I actually loved it. The epilogues at the end were so great too, I loved getting the glimpses into the future!
Loved this book and the developing MM relationships. TW should include: mentions of/intent to abort child at early pregnancy. The ending fell a bit flat. We never heard about what happened to Brent, Andrew, or met her sister. Did she really file her taxes that way? Where did they stay when they got to Vegas? Etc.
Sometimes you just come across a book on KU and it turns out to be one of your favorite books of the year.
Road Trip was so fun to read, a thrilling adventure from start to finish. I didn’t want to put it down for a second, and if I didn’t have to adult, I would have binged it in one sitting.
I’ve already added a second book from this author to my Goodreads, and I can’t wait to pick it up.
I would say this is closer to 4.5/5 I loved the found family and the vibes of the relationships as they formed and I am a sucker for a bi-awakening! But at the same time I felt like the drama with the exes was a bit rushed and kinda unsatisfying. Don’t get me wrong fuck then, but with all the build up I would have loved to see somebody go to jail or some other consequences. Other then that the book was for sure *chef’s kiss*

It's always the spicy ones that are so heartwarming!
Absolutely loved this book. The characters were so believable and the story was so beautiful. I loved that the extended epilogue had so many time frames.
A surprisingly enjoyable read. Quick and straight to the point! I liked the characters and even though the premise may have been a bit far-fetched in terms of practicality, it was a fun escape from reality. The spice was 10/10.
I literally couldn't put this book down. All their personalities were so well defined, Jax's bi-awakening was AMAZING and the spice was wonderful as well. Loved the extended epilogues, they felt like a warm hug.

I loved this book! I really like how the FMC and her men made an effort to truly get to know each other. This book is spicy HOT and at 12% I was like, HUH?? But it truly hit the spot for me and I hoe that others will read this.
I like the idea behind this one, but I didn't like the execution. It was more about the MM relationships IMO and the FMC just happened to own the car. The bonus epilogues were cute though.
this book doesn't get enough love! it's such a good story. found family vibes. HOT scenes. a very satisfying HEA and Epilogue years in future which I Always appreciate!!
Wow.....Let me rephrase WOW! This book was not what I expected. I knew that it was spicy and I knew that it was a RH but what I did not expect was the In depth feelings I would have while reading. The emotions and character development was off the charts good and I loved every second of this story. The book follows Hailee who is in a toxic relationship. She decides to leave her boyfriend and head to Vegas to stay with her sister. Along the way Hailee meets 3 incredible men who help her with unresolved feelings and insecurities that have plagued her. The men are also helped by Hailee and together form a very cohesive family. Now Addison has placed trigger and content warnings at the beginning of the book. If any of the items are issues for you, please take heed before reading. This book is very spicy but does so in such a way that it is beautiful at the same time. I absolutely fell in love with this story. If you love contemporary romance...with spice, you will fall in love like I did. I give this book 5 very well deserved stars.!
The above was my original review....I have read the extended version of the book and man....Addison can write. She is truly a lyrical genius...especially with spicy scenes. They are hot but you feel the love within the pages and its doesn't feel meaningless. I loved the updates and we are able to see where everyone is. I have to be honest, it was so nice to see these wonderful characters again. I loved them the first time around but now.....I love them even more.! Go pick up this extended version and the cover also received a beautiful rendition for the anniversary. Worth every penny! I give this book 5 stars!!!!!
I enjoyed this book. This is probably my first fiction where the entire focus was on the polyamory itself. Obviously there was also a plot which was pretty entertaining as well. Each character had a back story that ended up coming in to play at some point. For me it was a great story of several people coming together to make an amazing love story that worked for them. It highlighted some of the contentious points of a polyamorous relationship while stressing the importance of open and honest communications and boundaries between all parties which was a breath of fresh air. I loved how the story ended and thought it was an excellent show of how different relationship dynamics can work for different people and when you all consent and work together you can truly create something beautiful and fulfilling and it doesn’t have to “fit the mould” so to speak. Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if you are okay with why choose romances and polyamory.
I re-read this book every once in awhile and it’s easily one of my favorite all time poly romance books. The fun, the heartache, the spice are all 10/10 for me.
