i got to read this book as a arc and i don’t think you would understand how good this book is when i say it is. Like if your into romances books with good smut and a really really good plot RIGHT here! i literally love Callum and Thea sm. though i will admit at first it was a bit confusing with the all the characters but after like the first four chapters i couldn’t put the book down! also don’t even get me started on OLIVER! <3

thea is a badass single mother & one hell of a fighter. callum is sheltered man, afraid to let anyone in. but thea & oliver manage to creep there way in & honestly it was the best decision he’s made🥹
the connection between callum & thea is electric. they bring out the best in each other & know how to comfort one another. and the spice between them🤌🏽 it was literally so beautiful seeing the initial attraction between them blossom💗
the plot was so so good & it was a realistic story line. there were plenty of times where i was heartbroken. but it was a rly good read✨

I haven't read a " single mom" trope for quite sometime.
And this one just hit right on that sweet spot 😏(pun intended)
Highly recommend.

Lovely debut book by Hilary Anne. Throughly enjoyed the book. Couldn’t put it down. Some of the plot “twists” (not sure what else to call them without spoiling anything) were a little predictable but still good. My one confusion was how old the hero and heroine were. Especially because the heroine’s grandmother is still alive.

Started out really good. I was drawn in and had high hopes for the story. I liked the premise/plot; very good potential but it fell flat for me. I didn't feel like there was any real development to their relationship. It was all telling and no showing.

This was beautifully written with characters that you just couldn’t help falling in love. Thea is such a strong woman and has a truly big heart. She managed to get herself out of an awful situation and not let her caring heart be destroyed. Oliver is her absolute world and that shines through the pages. He is a sweet boy who’s had a tough start to life but he’s lucky that he has his mummies strength and kindness.
Cal has a checkered past through circumstance rather than choice. He has a solitary life with his gorgeous dog Raina to keep him company. Although he feels relatively content with his second chance he knows that he’s not really living. Then Thea enters his life…….
They have an instant attraction although their first few encounters are anything but smooth, mainly because neither of them want to accept it.
When they finally do they are so sweet together, both cautious at first but the romance, chemistry and the rightness of them together as a couple soon has them under each other’s spell. I loved the way their relationship grew so naturally and how Oliver was a big part of them together.
I loved the twists and character connections. Just the right level of spice that felt completely natural to the characters and the story.
I would definitely recommend this book

Oh my. This book was good for my heart but hard on it too. I loved Callum and Thea's story. The problems and event that arise are very realistic. It was a wonderful neighbors to lovers, unexpected love novel. The connection between Thea's son and Callum really warms the heart. The amount of detail and passion put into this story really had me feeling all of the emotions with the characters. The chemisty and tension between the characters was perfect. The spicy scenes.. chef's kiss. The best.
At times, I just wanted to yell "nooo!" Or "tell them already!" This book had me up late for 2 nights until I couldn't keep my eyes open trying to finish it ask quick as I could.
Hilary does an wonderful job with the character building and relationships. I would 100% recommend the book any day. It's one of my favorites for this year so far. Happy reading! 💛

I really enjoyed this one! Callum and Thea are fire together. Both start out trying to keep their distance as they have been broken in different ways. But they just find themselves drawn together and it’s not long before they give in to temptation. Their worlds collide in more than one way.
I did see the revelations coming but it didn’t spoil the book for me and it was fast paced so held my attention easily. An incredible debut novel that had me hooked from the get go.

Let me start by saying that romance novels aren’t something I’m used to reading. Because of that, this book took me a bit longer than normal to finish because it didn’t grip me right away that thrillers/suspense novels do.
However, I’m really glad I stuck through it and pushed myself to continue because this book was worth it! This dual POV book has both passion and spice—as the main characters find themselves instantly attracted to one another. Thea and Callum made my heart swell with their beautiful love and ability to overcome the troubling obstacles of their past. This story shows that it’s possible to start new after leaving the past behind, and allowing yourself to accept all the good things that are to come 💖

Weak heart is a total hit! I am new to the romance book world and after reading the first few chapters… I am obsessed and I literally can’t wait to read Hilary’s future books! I literally couldn’t put this book down! Weak heart is about a single mom who is recently divorced and trying to find herself again when she stumbles upon Callum the mysterious neighbor with a wild secretive past, the two are drawn to each other and soon their lives are intertwined. Hilary tells their story in such a beautiful, spicy way that leaves the reader wanting more! Add this book to your reading list now, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

This is an amazing story about two people who have secrets in their past that just refuse to stay hidden. The FMC is a single mom trying to start over but is put on edge my her new neighbor who despite their instant connection doesn’t seem to be all that friendly. When they both stop fighting their feelings, the past tries to make a return. The MMC is trying to protect his future while trying to bury his past but something are just stacked against him. This book was exciting to read and I loved the ending.

What a wonderful debut story! Single mom, neighbors, grumpy/sunshine vibes, steamy, and a great suspense storyline, too.
I loved the hearts of these characters! They may see weaknesses, but I found them both incredibly brave. The way each of them handle their struggles was well done. And Lottie, Charlie, Oliver & Raina add such joy and light to the story!
Thumbs up & I'm looking forward to more from this author!

📚ARC Review📚 Ugh! This book has totally captured my heart! The storyline and the characters was so good! Especially Callum! 😍 I was hooked from the beginning! This book has the perfect amount of romance and spice. I knew going into this book that I was going to love it. If you love a good spicy, romance book you will love this one! I highly recommend giving it a read!

This was a great story by a new author to me. Callum has a second chance at life but he really wasn't living till the day he met his new neighbor Thea. The pull was strong with them but when he met Oliver it was a instant bond that formed, but thr life he left behind has come back for him and now its not just him he has to protect its the two people that changed his life. Very good story.

Loved these two and their story so much! Blown away by the fact this is Hilary Anne’s debut! So excited to see what the future holds for her. Callum & Freckles are a must read!
