Barbara Pinke is an award-winning children’s book author who believes every story deserves a sprinkle of adventure, a dash of heart and maybe a dancing fish or two.
Born and raised in Hungary, she hopscotched across Europe, collecting memories, inspiration and probably a few too many notebooks, before settling in Germany with her family, her ever-growing tea stash and Pizza, a one-eared ginger cat who naps on her lap while she writes.
By day she works in HR (helping grown-ups); by night she writes books (helping little hearts grow big). She doesn’t drink coffee, though she loves the smell. Give her a cup of plum tea and a handful of pistachios, and she’s ready for any story.
Her books include Hallomean, The Boy Who Asks a Gazillion Whys, the “You Are My Influencer” books for moms and dads, the Season Is… books and FunFact ABCs for little learners, and Golden Gloves and the Magilicious Journeys series for readers ages 6–12.
loved it! Such a fun sequel to her first book! The illustrations will stop you in your tracks! They are so amazingly bright, colorful and eye catching! The story is such a fun book to read too! Sometimes things are not what they seem. Also, we need to ask people we trust questions, when we are unsure of situations! The story is very will put together and written! Such a cute idea behind this book! Very creative!

Seaya is a proud collector of pebbles, shells, and corals, but she isn’t expecting this mystery treasure... Maybe it was a fridge, or maybe its a swing, or maybe its used as a musical instrument...
This was a great story and I have a daughter just like Seaya that does collect pebbles, shells, crystals and anything pretty really so we really enjoyed this story! The story was well written and it was easy to read and understand.
The illustrations in the book were great, they were nice, bright and colourful and they brought the story to life - it was really well done from cover to cover and I loved that the messaging included being patient too.
It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended - this is a lovely little series of books!

This book was so adorable with beautiful illustrations with so many things to look at! I love the story and that it helps teach kids about having patience. My son really enjoyed hearing me read this one and I loved reading it to him! This is a perfect book for boys and girls under the age of 10 and is a great reminder for adults on having patience. Definitely would like to check out more books from this author!
This bright and colourful children's book is such a fun adventure to read. When little fish Seaya finds a tower with a little bird trapped inside she goes in search of a way to save it. This is a perfect one for anyone who likes the ocean and sea creatures as we have lots of characters to spot in the illustrations.
A short story that is delightful yet educational. Other than the obvious, this could also be used as showing species of underwater animals, environmental reasons to throw litter in the trash cans not elsewhere. Having your students draw and color their underwater pictures; have them draw their own imaginary underwater creatures.
A beautifully illustrated book with a lovely twist to the tale
What a gorgeous book. My daughter loved the story about the main character who is a fish trying to help a bird they saw stuck in a tower. After asking friends to help the fishes dad solves the mystery with a nice twist at the end. A great adventure book.
This book did an amazing job at showcasing to kids that patience is key and never give up! I also am a huge fan of the illustration style! All around a great and entertaining book!
Patience is a virtue and can be rewarded. And let's face it, dads know more than we give them credit for! The pictures are delightful and rich with emotion.
I loved the adventure in this story! It also had a sea turtle so that was a fun surprise! The cuckoo clock was a bonus for me. The illustrations are adorable!
I wanted to read an easy book for a bingo prompt. This was a very sweet book. It was very good at showing children patience and to ask questions. I would recommend this to my friends who have children. It was also on kindle unlimited so I urge people to check it out!
This was such a sweet and cute book with an important lesson. I would say more than one lesson. Seaya is a fish that comes across a treasure: a wooden tower with a little bird stuck inside. Seaya asks everyone she knows what it is and wants to help the bird that is stuck inside but no one seems to know. She is very upset. Her dad notices and asks her what’s wrong. She explains what she found and how no one knows what it is. Her dad asks her to take him to the treasure. When they go, they just wait. Seaya is impatient but her Dad keeps telling her to wait. Soon enough, Seaya learns patience is a virtue. Children will also learn about curiosity, perseverance, and helpfulness.
