Perfect couple

Nick and Simone are the perfect couple. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. This is a stand alone book but reading the others in the series makes it more enjoyable. Definitely some editing issues with this one, the cat was chasing butterflies on one page and a few pages later there was a winter storm warning.

Simone Mills went to culinary school but once she bakes a wedding cake, she decides that she wants to switch her career to baking That’s where her heart is. Even though she lives in Nashville, Tennessee, her friends have businesses in Two Hearts, Tennessee and their clients want Simone to make their wedding cakes. She is well known for them. Sometimes she thinks about opening a business there. Most of her work is there. She sees a store that would be perfect for her bakery. Will she move there?
Nick Barton is on his way to his hometown of Two Hearts when he swerved to avoid hitting an Alpaca. He hits Simone’s vehicle. Nick is a chef who is also delivering food for the same wedding. They ride together. Those two don’t get along for some reason. They ran into each other since they have the same friends and serve the same weddings. Nick wonders if he should open another restaurant there so he doesn’t have to travel back and forth with the food, since that’s his hometown. His restaurant is doing great in Nashville. He’s just worn out from traveling back and forth, along with working his restaurant.
Nick’s grandmother seems to be doing poorly all of a sudden . She wants to see Nick settled down and have children before she passes. Nick would do anything for her, so he makes up a girlfriend and fake engagement. He say Simone’s name. She agrees since his sweet grandmother is going downhill, even though Simone thinks Nick is rude. What could go wrong? Feelings bubble up, the lies get bigger. Can the two hold it together? Will they cross the line? How long can they keep it up? Will they both start businesses there in Two Hearts? Will they hurt his grandmother’s feelings when she finds out it’s a big fat lie? Loved the characters, loved the grandmother. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest opinion. I gave it voluntarily.

Simone Mills is a classically trained chef who studied at a culinary school in Paris. She made her 1st wedding cake for a friend and was hooked on baking cakes, especially wedding cakes. She lives in Nashville but has been baking several cakes for weddings in Two Hearts, Tennessee. She's found a storefront there she's interested in but she's locked into an apartment with a year to go on the lease.

Nick Barton is the owner operator of Southern Somethings restaurant in Nashville although he grew up in Two Hearts. He does catering there for several weddings. He's met Simone and is attracted to her but he always gets flustered and says the wrong things to her.

They are both on their way to the same wedding when Simone's truck, Harriet, conks out on her and she's forced to pull into the parking lot of the sleezy motel in the area. Nick exhausted from working swerves to miss an alpaca on the road and hits her SUV damaging the cake.

Nick transfers her and the cake to his vehicle but is so exhausted he fails to engage in conversation with her without giving her an explanation. She now considers him to be extremely rude. Strike 1. It doesn't help  matters when he decides to stay overnight without contacting her to inform he he won't be giving her a ride back to Nashville. Strike 2. Now his Nana West has shown him an Oscar worthy performance of "I'm dying and I only want to hold your baby in my arms before I die." So of course he panics and names Simone, the only name he can think of, as not only his girlfriend but also his fiancée. Strike 3! And he's out or is he?

For now, she's going along with the lie. But for how long?  Does she have payback in mind?

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

While this is a part of a series and the prior character couples make multiple appearances, you don't have to read the prior ones to fully understand and enjoy this story.

This is told in a dual POV format. That is a favorite of mine. Getting that glimpse into both of the main characters' thoughts really help me to better understand them and connect with them (hopefully) in the way that the author intended.

After reading this delightful tale, I will definitely have to go back and read the prior stories as each of the couples sounds like something that shouldn't be missed.

How can you not love a story of a fake engagement?! Here Nick loves his grandmother so much. When she is almost on death's door, she would love to see him married! Nick is busy running his Nashville restaurant and catering weddings in Two Hearts, TN. He isn't seeing anyone! But Nick ran into Simone's vehicle on the way into town and her name magically popped out of his mouth when he mentioned that he was engaged! Yikes! The best laid plans of mice and men!

Simone, runs a cake catering business in Nashville. She too does a lot of wedding events in Two Hearts. She agrees to help Nick out with his announcement of their engagement. Can a fake engagement turn into something more when two people have busy lives?! Especially when one moves to Two Hearts and the other lives in Nashville? Well you will have to read this delightful tale for yourself.

This is a sweet, clean romance that anyone should enjoy.

This is the latest book set in Two Hearts, Tennessee. So far, I've loved every book in this series, and this one is no exception. This book is Simone's and Nick's story. Simone is a baker specializing in wedding and other party cakes, and Nick is a Nashville restaurant owner who grew up in Two Hearts. They are both on the way to the same wedding when they end up bumping into each other - literally! Their meeting does not go well, and they both end up with a bad impression of the other. Things go from bad to worse when Nick's grandmother suddenly becomes ill, and in order to make her feel better, Nick blurts out that he and Simone are engaged. The story has its funny and cute moments, and I did enjoy reading it, but the one thing that kept me from liking it as much as the other books is that I really didn't like Nick all that much. He put Simone in a very awkward situation, and while she was willing to play along with him to keep his grandmother happy, i felt like Nick didn't treat Simone well at all. He always seemed to be putting her down, or disparaging her in some way, and Simone was such a sweetheart that after awhile I was just really done with Nick. I still recommend this book, but it's not my favorite of the series. I received an ARC copy, but the opinions expressed are solely my own.

This contemporary clean read centres around two chefs - Simone Mills, a baker specialising in cakes and Nick Barton, a restauranteur.
They know each other through the wedding/functions industry where Nick's restaurant often does catering for the same functions that Simone bakes cakes for. They meet again whilst both are on a road trip from Nashville to Two Hearts (Nick's hometown) to deliver food for the Mayor's wedding. Simone's vehicle breaks down along the way and Nick comes past, accidentally knocking into her vehicle too, and gives her a lift with the wedding cake to the function.

This starts off a series of meetups and a fake engagement as Nick's grandmother is on her deathbed. Simone and Nick are forced together more and more due to their "engagement" and unfortunately Nick puts his foot into it a few times being a reluctant bachelor. He redeems himself by his actions but it takes a while to get to that point.

Both characters are likeable and this was a charming Hallmark-like story. Simone was a lovely, independent and kind person and Nick was endearing and so clueless sometimes but they eventually reach their happy ending.

This was a clean book, kissing only with no swearing. There are a host of auxiliary characters in this story that made the story a fun read.

I’ve fallen in love with Two Hearts, Tennessee, a.k.a. the Wedding Town, and I thoroughly enjoyed this charming trip!

Nashville, Tennessee residents and business owners Simone Mills and Nick Barton are aware of each other--principally through Nick catering the food and Simone providing the wedding cakes for several of the same weddings in Two Hearts. However, through a combination of a unique, “bumpy” meet-disaster and Nick’s desperate lie to his grandmother, their lives are thrown together into turmoil. The road to their HEA is anything but smooth, but it’s oh so delicious and well worth the trip!

Though this can be read as a stand-alone, the enjoyment of this story would definitely be enhanced by reading any or all of the author’s previous books set in Two Hearts. I really enjoyed getting reacquainted with and updated on the lives of characters I had met before! And as with all the other books I’ve read by this author, I appreciate that this is a sweet and clean romance!

I received an ARC copy of this book, and this is my voluntary, honest opinion of that story.

Waiting for a Wedding by Cathryn Brown is the 4th book in her Wedding Town Romance Series. This series takes place in small town Two Hearts, Tennessee. Simone is a wedding cake baker and Nick a renowned chef in Nashville. Both have been supplying cakes and food for weddings in Two Hearts. While both running late to a wedding, Simone’s truck breaks down and Nick hits her when avoiding a loose Alpaca. Once the wedding is finished, Nick visits his family and his grandma has suddenly become bedridden and supposedly ill. She wants him married and providing great grandchildren so he says he has a fiancée named Simone. Thus begins a fake dating relationship in Two Hearts. Both are two busy to be engaged and actually don’t appear to like each other but Grandma is thrilled so they continue. When Grandma throws a surprise bridal shower, they know the little old lady who is actually perfectly healthy has had them. This is a fun romance with a happy ever after.

I received a complimentary copy however this is my honest review.

Two workaholics both spending too much time on the commute to the growing business in Two Hearts run into each other (literally!) on the way to a wedding... and it doesn't go well! Nick is sleep deprived and when trying to avoid an alpaca on the road, hits Simone's car which is put out of action AND damages the wedding cake ... He gives her and her cake a lift to the wedding but comes across as rude as he is too tired to converse politely and then forgets he is supposed to give her a lift BACK to town leaving her stranded. Why her name comes out of his mouth when his ailing grandmother is pushing him to get married is a total surprise to him - and Simone when she hears about it! Add in both considering moving to Two Hearts, both interested in the same building, some unexpected twists and turns and Nick's continual foot in mouth problems, you have a very funny story with a HEA. I received an ARC but this review is my own.

Simone and Nick are acquaintances who both work in Nashville, TN, with ties in Two Hearts, TN. Nick is from the small town and both he and Simone have friends living there. Both also spend a lot of time there since Nick often caters food for weddings held in Two Hearts and Simone delivers her delectable wedding cakes. An unfortunate incident involving an alpaca throws the two of them together one fateful day. Everything Nick says to Simone seems to come out wrong and she thinks he’s extremely rude. And when he says the wrong thing to his supposedly ailing grandmother, things get out of hand. What can Nick do to appease his grandmother and change Simone’s opinion of him since he suddenly finds himself needing her help in a big way? A very big way.

I love this series!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Clean romance.

Simone is getting frustrated with roommates. She bakes cakes and runs from Nashville to Two Hearts quite a bit for weddings. She likes the peace that is there and wishes she could move but is stuck in a lease. She is on a way to deliver a cake to a wedding there and her car dies and then she is hit from behind by another car. Luckily it is a chef she knows going to the same wedding. He takes her, but does not make a good first impression. He asks her for a favor later that spins out of control. Will they get along?

Great characters and storyline with a few twists. The people in the book are fun. I would love to move to Two Hearts and become friends with them.

I keep coming back to the Wedding Town Romance series as I generally enjoy intertwining stories and revisiting characters from previous novels. I think the books are mostly well written, with funny and witty dialogue. But again, I was left feeling a little underwhelmed by this book. The characters are poorly developed and the plot is somewhat weak and very repetitive. Even within the series, this is the second time the "fake relationship" trope has been used, and it feels forced and unnecessary... probably just a cheap trick to keep the characters in forced proximity, which the author could have achieved anyway since the main characters work in the same business and have the same group of friends.

This sweet romance really drew me in, I loved the characters and the charming town of Two Hearts, Tennessee which is just starting to thrive after a few friends moved to town that are all involved in weddings. Simone is a trained chef who went to a culinary school in Paris, but then made a wedding cake and decided that is what she really loves. Nick is a chef with his own restaurant in Nashville, TN. He mistakenly tells his grandma who was ill that he is engaged to someone named Simone, and this is where all the fun starts, I loved the way that Cathryn moved this story along and the crazy things that kept building, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, it is so fun.

I absolutely love visiting Two Hearts and it’s amazing townsfolk. From book one we have been made to feel welcome as bit by bit the town has started to come alive again. This time it’s Simone and Nick’s turn to get a hea ending and with the help of an alpaca and some friends, they may just get there. Both run successful businesses but not in Two hearts and are exhausted with the toing and froing and the long distances as they are trying to burn the candle at both ends. It’s a wonderful story, with wonderful people, an enchanting grandma, romance and a few surprises along the way. It’s a fantastic continuation of this incredible series!

I liked returning to Two Hearts, Tennessee for this story about Simone and Nick. I totally liked how Nick's Grandma pulled one over on him that resulted in a fake engagement. The story was fun, sweet, and entertaining at times as their lie seemed to have a life of its own. I enjoyed watching Nick sometimes put his foot in his mouth and I liked seeing how he would fix what he said to Simone.
The food that both of the characters made sounded delicious since they were both chefs and Simone made wedding cakes too. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Simone Mills is a wedding cake maker who has a store in Nashville, but is finding more and more of her business is in the small town of Two Hearts so she moves there. Nick Barton has a restaurant in Nashville, but is from Two Hearts and caters weddings there so he opens a catering kitchen there. His grandmother is not doing well and wants to see him married, so he tells her he’s engaged to Simone. The problems they have with their fake engagement are many and varied making this an interesting and heartwarming book.

I have never read anything by Cathryn Brown before, OMG this was fantastic. A sweet beautifully written story, and the in depth characters were amazing!! If I could give this 100 stars I would! Simone is a chef, and has her own business making specialty wedding cakes in Nashville TN. Nick is a chef in Nashville with his own resturant; but does catering in this hometown Two Hearts TN. Nick's grandmother appears to be dying; and all she wants is for Nick to be engaged and get married. What could happen with a fake engagement? Love the plot, beautiful setting, and strong intense interesting characters.

This book is about Nick and Simone. Nick is a chef and restaurateur. Simone is also a chef but focuses on cakes for weddings, showers, birthdays, etc. Both have been commuting to Two Hearts for people’s weddings. Nick grew up in Two Hearts and Simone has friends there that are a wedding planner and photographer. Nick accidentally hits Simone‘a broken down van to avoid an alpaca. He takes Simone and her cake to the wedding with barely minutes to spare. This couple continues to get thrown time and again before they realize that the truly love each other. This was a great read with great characters and storyline. I found myself laughing at the antics of Nick’s Nana as well as feeling the angst the couple was going through. I couldn’t put this book down and highly recommend it!

Waiting for a Wedding

Really enjoyed reading this enemies to love romance. Simone makes wedding cakes. She sometimes delivers to weddings being held in Two Hearts for her friends who work with brides there. Nick owns a restaurant in Nashville and sometimes caters to his hometown of Two Hearts. Nick is always rude to Simone but when his grandmother pins him down about dating and marriage, he lies about a relationship with none other than Simone. Simone agrees to be his fake fiancé. Will they be able to pull it off without falling for each other?

Another pretend romance. Zzzzzzz

This is the third book with a pretend romance that turns into true love. Seriously? One was enough.

In addition to that, the story isn't that exciting. The couple barely tolerates each other then they're fake-engaged which is supposed to be a secret, then when the secret gets out they don't seem to care that much, then suddenly they're madly in love.

Since the next book in the series in yet another secret/fake love story, I am done with this little wedding town.

I really enjoyed this romance. Simone and Nick know each other through weddings- he as food caterer and she as the wedding cake baker – and literally bump into each other en route to another wedding. She thinks he is rude, he is too busy for life outside work until a family crisis arises where he asks for her help. I liked both main characters and liked how they worked well together. This is a delightful fun romance.

This sweet romance is best when read in order of the series. There are a lot of wonderful characters in Two Hearts, Tennessee. Simone, a wedding cake maker, and Nick, a caterer keep being thrown together working at the same weddings. When's Nick's grandmother seems to be on her death bed, he tells his grandma that he is engaged to Simone. She is a great sport and agrees but things get out of hand and Nick may be more than Simone bargained for.

Sweet and funny love story

Nick thought his Grandmother was on her death bed and her only wish was to see him settled down. He secretly liked Simone and together they had a 'fake' engagement to please his Grandmother. The lie grows and grows with hilarity and serious problems. Can Nick and Simone get out of this crazy situation? Do they really fall in love? Its worth the reading to find out.

Nick owns a restaurant in Nashville and caters weddings in Two Hearts. Simone creates wedding cakes for weddings in Two Hearts. What a great story with a meddling grandmother, great friends and a fake engagement. Throw in a snow and ice storm that puts Nick and Simone living together. Love this town, the people in it and catching up with others who met their match. Can't wait to read more about others in Two Hearts.

Oh I think this couple is my favorite of all the couples

Two Hearts feels like a beautiful place to live and bring life into. These wedding shops are so exciting and a fabulous idea. With the addition of Nick's catering & Someone's cakes it is truly turning into a wedding haven. Nick & Simone's story started by the love & adoration Nick has for his feisty grandmother. She is a hoot! Love reading of this little town growing!
