Very good biography. Comprehensive look at the life and times of someone about whom not all that much is known. What Lady Jane really thought about her marriage, about the coup carried out in her name, the reason for the choices she made (like refusing her husband’s request to meet one last time before their executions) can only be matters of speculation. But I thought this author did a good job of presenting the known facts (gleaned from an impressively wide range of sources) and paring away the romanticized legend.
