This were two mafia related stories that revolved around a couple in each story. They were short, steamy, romantic and safe with action and a few twists. 😍😍😍 Both stories kind of ended a bit abrupt , but still great stories 👍
This is a two part short story that I believe both were parts of anthologies. So here we have Twisted Revenge and Roulettes Gamble.
In Twisted Revenge we have Victoria and Jameston. They come from two big mafia families that really hate each other. The chemistry between these two is very volatile and you could see them hurting each other. This story didn't really give me anything to be honest I wanted a lot more from these two I just didn't feel like we got the full back story of these two.
In Roulettes Gamble we have Adeline and Emerson. Now this was 🔥 I definitely wanted more and it's the reason I gave this four stars! Emerson is a brutal big mafia boss but he's looking for love. Enter Adeline...... known as The Starlet she's a singer and a beautiful one that steals Emerson's heart. After he claims her as his and they have a night of passion she flees with something that she shouldn't be in possession of. Emerson is searching high and low and when he does boy is she not getting away a second time!!!
Honestly Roulettes Gamble is what saved this for me. I just couldn't get a connection with Twisted Revenge and the characters Victoria and Jameston. I would definitely read more of Adeline and Emerson for sure they definitely had more of a connection and just a better story line too. I would happily read a full story of those two and their spice 🔥
Victoria & Jameston - Twisted revenge Adeline & Emerson - Roulettes gamble * This is a two part short story. Victoria and Jameston come from two big named families that hate eachother. The energy between the two is kinda violent. They are both fond of violence and that translates in their interactions and sex life. When part one is done you're left with a few questions that are forgotten the moment you get to know Emerson. He is a big boss that is brutal but still wants true love. When Adeline sings she steals his heart and mind. But she runs away right after their first interaction with something that shouldn't be in her possession. And so the search for her begins. I liked the part two more. The storyline was flowing better. With the first I felt like something was missing. The characters in Roulettes gamble were more likable and the spice and attraction were on point. I would glady have more of Emerson and Adeline. *I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily gave my honest opinion.
Owned by the Mafia has two short(ish) stories that pack a giant punch. There's Twisted Revenge, the story of Victoria & James which was combustible with their hate filled interactions. Let me tell you, Victoria was a bada** heroine which made me so happy as she could go toe to toe with anyone in their world, not to mention the heat between these two was off the charts HOT! Next up is Roulettes Gamble that showcases Adeline & Emerson. He's a mob boss who isn't opposed to love, so the moment he heard Adeline sing, it was game over. Of course she wasn't down with that, so the chase took off. I LOVED every minute of both stories, and I believe y'all will as well so you know what to do! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
There are two stories, Twisted Revenge about Victoria and Jameston, Roulettes Gamble about Adeline and Emerson. The first is an enemies to lovers story, kind of a Romeo and Juliette, if they were not innocent. Both characters are violent but themselves drawn to each other.
The second is about a mob boss that wants to find true love, which happens when he hears Adeline sing. She knows what Emerson wants and runs off, so the chase begins.

There are two stories in this book. Each was in a different anthology. Victoria and Jameson’s story is quick and clearly connects to another possibly longer story. Jameson is out for revenge. Victoria is fighting for her place in the mob world where woman normally have no say. Their story is volatile. Adeline and Emerson’s story is a little long and the storyline in it flows better to me. I didn’t feel like I was starting in the middle/end of a story. Adeline is a singer. While she doesn’t normally sing at this club, she can’t refuse a friend in need. It only takes one look for Emerson to know he wants her. Only things don’t go quite the way he wants them too. He must then track her down. These were both good reads. They are this is the first book I have read by C.N. Marie. I look forward to reading more by her.
This has two stories, and the first is Victoria and Jameston, with an enemies / lovers’ tale, and with rival families. Second is singer Adelaide and Emerson, whom she crosses paths with while helping a friend. This is an enjoyable tale, which is fast paced, with intrigue, vengeance, twists, emotions, friendships, family, engaging characters, and is a good steamy story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This book was fast paced right from the start. The book starts off with a no nonsense female kicking ass and laying down the law!
I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced, a shorter read and very action packed. It starts with part one being about Jameston and Victoria while part two is about Emerson and Adeline. I love reading anything mafia related and this hit the spot perfectly.
Owned by the Mafia is two short stories that will are intertwined that grab you from the start as the families go up against each other looking for revenge and take their chance finding love along the way.
Great read with perfect amount of danger, suspense and heat that pulls you in fast.

I liked these two short books and how they linked together. I personally enjoyed the second with Emerson & Adeline more and would possibly be intrigued to find out more about them as a couple. The writing was interesting and some parts kept me gripped to find out more. I did enjoy when the two books characters linked together. That's always a plus from me! I would try reading more books from this author in the future.
When he sees what he wants he takes and tracks her down. Hot read. She runs from something she's never experienced, however, he refused to let her get away. Possessive man ✅ Steamy scenes ✅.

Emerson has been looking for the woman that'll make his heart beat fast and fall in love. As soon as he heard Adaline sing he knows she's the one. She's his and he'll do whatever it takes to keep her by his side.
For me this was a very hard book to follow. I know we have 2 couples that is in this book but it was just to much for me with the way it was written. I tried to really like it, for me it did not flow as nicely as what I usually read. Sorry, but I tried to like it.
4.5 Stars This is a complete duo of 2 novellas: Twisted Revenge and Roullette Gamble. I enjoyed both books and would read more about their stories. I liked Twisted Revenge more than Roullette Gamble, but only because it had a very Romeo and Juliet feel that I love.
2 interconnected stories that were part of an anthology with no endings. I haven't read the anthology but from the short two, it had peaked my interest in checking it out.

James & Victoria had an entertaining read. The life of crime isn’t just a man’s world anymore. Women in the mob are meant to be docile and obedient. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
