Stalker Sportsmen

The Hockey Player's Obsession

Rate this book
Parker

I play right ring, and I’m the team’s star forward . Hockey is in my blood, and my career is the most important thing in my life.

Until I see her.

She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Her blue eyes are as light as an Arctic winter—and just as icy—because not only is she the coach's daughter, but she wants nothing to do with hockey or hockey players.

I’ll do whatever it takes to prove to her that she’s mine—even if it means stalking her.

Peyton

I hate hockey and everything that comes with it, especially the way men will put the sport above their own families.

I swore I'd never fall for a hockey player. With my dad being a hockey coach all my life, I've had enough hockey to last me for ten lifetimes.

But then he happens. Parker Jones. The right winger for the team my dad coaches sets his sights on me. He may be hot as sin, but there's no way I'm going to let some hotshot hockey player play me.

But I may have underestimated just how good of a player Parker is because he begins chipping away at the ice around my heart despite myself.

A sweet stalker story.

This was definitely more of a sweet stalker story than a dark one. In fact, he just comes up to her and tells her he’s been “watching” her. He doesn’t follow her in the dark but just shows up everywhere she is and walks with her or takes her to dinner. It’s really cute.

I felt like she held out fully giving into him for an appropriate amount of time given the length of the story. I hate when they just throw their convictions out the window.

Whether you like it or hate it (I happen to like it) it has a little bit of daddy kink in it, fyi.

A good read.

One of the most asinine books I’ve ever started reading.

“I walk into the diner and order my usual - a six-inch Italian sub. Hey, I may be tiny, but I work up quite an appetite.” No you don’t. That’s a regular sized meal, there’s nothing special about it.

“I don’t like other men staring at her. I feel insanely possessive of her.” Dude, you met her two days ago.

As a person who has a science degree, nobody says they’re “studying to be a scientist.” It’s going to be a specific field or career - doctor, engineer, physicist, etc. Also, no professor is going to let an undergraduate student just fiddle around in the lab to “work on new formulas” especially not unsupervised with toxic chemicals.

I get that this is a “stalker” romance and not really expected to have depth, but the author could’ve at least put some effort into writing something that sounds like the characters know anything about what they’re supposedly interested in besides each other.

3.65 🤔 I liked this one! It was just shorter than I would have life jed. Super.sweet and kinda stalker y H taking one look at the coaches daughter and he falls for her fast. She wants nothing to do with him because her father left her and her family for hockey and she had a bad taste for all sports people since then. Sports players?! Anyhow 😂

It was cute! But short.

DNF'D as soon as they brought out the Daddy. It's a no from me. Especially when you add in the FMC being a virgin. Should have DNF'D when they just said she wanted to be a scientist with nothing past that. It's short and definitely not worth the read.

QUICK AMAZING READ

Parker and Peyton burn up these pages. I love their story. And how quickly he fell for her. I love hockey god that falls hard and fast when he know what he wants.

idek what

This was all of the things indiscriminately mashed together. Insta, obsession, stalking, overbearing H, barely legal-only 7y gap tho, daddy issues - and then bam, Daddy issues outta nowhere.

It was a tad disjointed and didn't have any sweetness at all to it, like a lot of her other stuff has. Normally Stalker books do it for me. Not so this.

I wouldn't really call this stalker per say. But, its short, sweet and a bit smutty. It was a good palette cleanser and very short so its a fun little story to read when you have like 30 minutes to kill.

If you can even imagine this is a rather sweet stalker over-the-top (OTT) daddy trope. Parker is twenty-six and is a professional hockey player. He sees the love of his life, during hockey practice, for the very first time. Just two minor problems one, she is the coach’s daughter, and two, she is only nineteen. At his wanting to meet her and still being pissed. But, her crimson cheeks say otherwise.

It's only a seven-year gap so it's not that big. When Parker interrupts a heated discussion between the coach, and, Peyton is pissed. When introduced she is appearing not to be impressed with him at all. But, when he starts showing up near and on campus to walk her home, to class, and then there is that kiss. The only thing is he doesn't understand she doesn't do relationships with athletes, especially hockey players.

He’s on a mission to reach her heart, forever and she is avoiding her heart and life heartaches with a self-absorbed hockey coach father. Who was willing to sacrifice his family for the game.

Parkers obsession with Peyton is very disturbing, but also makes for a good page tuner of a novella.

daddy k!ink

Wasn’t expecting the daddy kink and I didn’t love it but it was easy enough to get past. Pretty good overall

One of my fave authors so whenever she drops a new book, I drop everything and grab it! I love how she can pack a swoon-worthy romance into a novella and she didn’t disappoint with this one! This was a sports romance with a stalkerish, obsessed hero who sees the coach’s daughter and knows that she IS THE ONE for him. He proceeds to chase her and woos her to overcome her walls; the heroine is leery of anyone involved in sports because her dad neglected his family and always put sports first. She pushes the hero away at first, denying her own feelings for him, but he does everything short of kidnapping her to show her that will always come first!

Safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned but he doesn’t come off as a manwhore. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to her hero. No others, no sharing or cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue

I read a few reviews so I knew what to expect before reading, good thing too. This one is super short, instalove, stalker-ish obsession, slight daddy-kink which seemed out of place, and poor story creation.

Why is this even for sale? I mean, I got it free or I would never have read it, but this was just so silly and it’s giving ick.

So Peyton is studying chemistry I guess, even though the term “scientist” is used repeatedly as if that’s a thing.
And the typos were annoying. Like when Parker is thinking Peyton looked at him and it “leaves her lacking” - when the author means Peyton found him lacking.
Don’t do it. Nothing in this novella makes it worth the 30 minutes to read.

Not my cup of tea. I wish I known she called him daddy, I wouldn’t read it. Also very poorly researched. Not really a sports Romance. I wasn’t impressed, wouldn’t waste time reading it again.

My Initial Commentary

Once upon a time, in the winter of 1988, I was an eighteen-year-old girl living with my beloved mother in the beautiful state of Minnesota. I had just completed my last year of high school only six months earlier and was now having fun and looking forward to a promising future. While I was happy those four years of high school were finally over, I still missed it—to an extent. I loved my courses at school: home economics (we cooked and baked all sorts of delicious food and desserts, and we learned how to make clothes), band class (I studied the violin and the trombone), music education (well, you know), English (well, you know that, too), and science. I studied all the topics I loved. And I excelled in those studies—because they were, and still are, my passions. But there was one academic subject I couldn't stand: physical education. Gym class was required, whether students liked it or not. I didn't, and I'll tell you why...

What to do when the coach’s daughter is dropped dead gorgeous and you didn’t oughta as he warned ya…besides , she doesn’t date hockey players….period! Timeout! What ? Is she not on this planet? What’s wrong with the woman?!…Ahem , anyway ..Parker Jones is a twenty six year old professional IceHockey player and those arctic blues eyes of the coach’s daughter’s has him mesmerised and prone to stalk her, because like I say she does not go for Hockey players. Peyton has had her fill of the game taking over her life, and taking her dad away from her too boo-hoo! But Parker shows up everywhere and anywhere she goes and this stalker has slowly started to thaw the ice maiden , chipping away at the ice in her heart and melting her other parts. Daddy please! Play with me ! I’m a good girl….Hot as sin in the bin of sin and he’s sending his puck soaring and scoring a hit between the pipes and top shelf…Love it! Great writing , uber characters , hilarious, hot , and hockey …what’s not to love? I’m leaving my review voluntarily in my own words

The Hockey Player's Obsession is Book 1 of the Stalker Sportsmen series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, stalker-lite, virgin gets her hockey player romance. Parker is a hunky, 26 year old professional hockey player. Peyton is the sassy, 19 year old daughter of the coach. She is going to college to be a scientist. When Parker sees Peyton for the first time, he is immediately drawn to her. She's attracted to him but has vowed to never date a sports player as she feels her dad has always prioritized hockey above everything else. Parker patiently stalks her and shows up everywhere. He admits the same to her, and she's flattered, frustrated, and scared all at the same time. Can Parker show her he's all in and will always put her first? This couple had great chemistry, and it ended on a happy note. I loved how persistent Parker was.

A quick read. But I really enjoyed it!
Parker, the first time he laid eyes on Peyton that was it, he HAD to know her. And he would stop at nothing to do so. No matter how much she pushed back and put her walls up. Parker was determined to show her that he’s different than whatever hurt her in the past, if only she would give him the chance to prove it.
Peyton, the coach’s daughter, she has a strained relationship with her father and wants nothing to do with the sport (or any sport) or jock. She swore them off. But there is something about Parker that keeps pulling her in, and no matter how hard she tries to pull away from Parker she can’t help but fall for him but she’s not willing to admit it.
Can Parker prove to Peyton that he’s not just another a jock who will put the sport and career above her? Will Peyton let him all the way in?

I really enjoyed Parker and Payton’s romance so much and Parker is on the hockey team and Payton is the coach’s daughter and peyton and her dad don’t get along because her dad chose hockey over his family and that’s why Payton’s parents are divorced and peyton doesn’t get along with her step father as well and Parker starts stalking peyton around campus and peyton is studying science and peyton is also closed off and love the spicy scenes between Parker and peyton and he calls her baby and love the ending with them getting married and having a daughter named hazel and love that Parker always chose peyton over hockey and peyton and her dad still don’t get along and love this short spicy hockey romance. And I really liked this author’s writing as well so easy to get into

This was a fab and funny read that brings together hockey player, Parker, and coach's daughter, Peyton. He was unabashed at admitting he was hooked on her from the moment he laid eyes one her and basically stalked her. She had no desire to be with any sports player due to how her father sacrificed his family to hockey. Well, his OTT ways, added to how protective he was of her made her feel safe and eventually she caved on dating him ;) There is a bit of DDlg kink in here but it just added to their story. I loved the way this played out and I inhaled it in one sitting. This is a fairly new-to-me author but I'm learning that she has my reading back. She's quickly heading to my one-click list ;D

This book gave me serious "if I can't have you, no one can have you" vibes. It's a little crazy—some stalker-level stuff that had me questioning what I was reading. At one point, the guy starts saying things like "let daddy in," and that freaked me the hell out, especially since the girl clearly has daddy issues. The fact that he's calling himself her father and saying he’ll never let her down? It just took the whole thing to a new level of insanity. I honestly couldn’t stop laughing. I found myself torn between turning the pages and wondering if I should even keep going. It's an intense, wild ride, but wow—it definitely had me reacting. It felt so wrong reading some pages. But I’ve never come across this special brand of crazy before. It was interesting, though!

This is another OTT sport smutty read with a little back story.
Parker is a hot shot hockey player. He is new to the team and has a lot of respect for his coach. He is an up and coming star. This first time he sees the beauty talking to the coach his heart skips a beat.
Payton is the Hockey Coach’s daughter. She hates all sports and has vowed to never date an athlete. Her father ignored both her and her mom growing up loving hockey better than his family. She vowed she would never come second again.
Parker is obsessed with making Payton his. can he convince her that not athletes are like her father?
This is a fairly enjoyable read. I love that Parker is willing to do what it takes to make Payton his.

Parker Jones is a 26 year old professional hockey player. After practice, he sees a beautiful brunette out of the corner of his eye. It turns out that she is Coach Berry’s daughter, Peyton.

Peyton is 19 years old and in college. She blames her father’s obsession with hockey for her parent’s marriage breaking up. She dislikes all sports but especially hockey players. That does not stop Parker from pursuing Peyton.

I loved Parker’s persistence. He had to work hard to find out why Peyton didn’t like hockey players and then show her that he was different.

This book is filled with an insta-love vibe. Although I don’t quite understand how a man can become so obsessed with a girl he’s just met at first glance.

The plot feels light, and the characterization is done well enough. This couple made me smile, although it seems a bit off to call it an age gap with a daddy kink since the age difference is only seven years. That just adds to the cringe factor of the book.

Maybe because this book is a short story, everything feels rushed, and some aspects seem lacking in detail. The writing is good, though. Overall, it's a quick read that's pretty good for passing the time.

Stalker Sportsmen

Parker Jones is 26 and the right wing for his hockey team. Hockey is his life until he sees her.

Peyton Berry is 19 and the coach's daughter. She's
in college studying to be a scientist. Having to deal with her dad being a coach and having no time for her she wants nothing to do with hockey or the players.

Once Parker sees Peyton he has to know who she is and make her his.

2 stars
For me this was over the top. He has seen her and decides she is his and goes nuts when he sees another guy talking to her. He's very possessive, follows her everywhere. When she started calling him daddy that was a big no for me.

it was really nice. but it was short and things moved really really quickly and I feel like it could have been extended into a longer book. there was a really good story and background on one of the characters but not the other and I think there could have been more of him saving her from her father's crap. they get married within six months and she is just starting to show. and then 3 months later they have a baby.

if you want a quick read and you like sports romance specifically hockey romance it's a fun choice. if you like girls with daddy issues also a really funny. if you love possessive staulkery mmc's it's also a fun choice.
