About the author

Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people's books at university he started writing his own. He's been doing it ever since. When he's not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.

A gift from my mother-in-law to Ylva. She loves books with sound, so this appealed to her at once. She also figured out how to press the sound buttons immediately.
There are 10 pages featuring birds, cats, dogs, horses, hamsters and more. Each page has little cutouts that give texture and continuation. The text isn't very impressive, but the main attraction here are the sounds, which seem very real. A pretty good book if your toddler is a fan of sound books!
