A fun and engaging Mr. Men Little Miss story about the power of kindness and the happiness it brings.
Lots of the Mr. Men and Little Miss are kind. Mr Happy loves making his friends happy by doing kind deeds. But it can be easier to do what you want without thinking of others. Have you ever found it difficult to be kind? Mr. Mean probably finds it the hardest to be kind. Can Mr. Happy and Little Miss Giggles help him to learn that small acts of kindness bring much happiness?
The Mr. Men and Little Miss are the perfect characters to help children understand a bit more about their own emotions and how to manage them. With engaging questions to encourage conversations and some helpful tips from favourite characters to help children develop their emotional intelligence.

This is quite a small book and printed on matt paper. It is all about Mr Happy and Little Miss Giggles teaching Mr Mean how to be kind. The imagery is bright and colourful and it is a simple story that has a really good message, to try and be kind to others. The images are bright and colourful while the language is simplistic yet not condescending, We all need a bit of kindness in our lives and I think this book gives toddlers a real understanding of kindness through the characters. I think it is much more powerful using Mr Men and Little Miss characters than it ever could be with human ones. It has a wholesome feeling behind it, it's a story grounded in idealism and I think a good introduction to feelings and helping children start to think about others and be aware of other peoples feelings.
Roger Hargreaves and Elizabeth Kilbey’s picture book (part of the DISCOVER MORE ABOUT YOU SERIES) uses the MR MEN AND LITTLE MISS trade mark silly humour to explore what it means to be kind and why it’s important to be kind, both for yourself and for other people. It’s a lot of fun and there’s advice for parents, care givers and teachers at the end with suggestions on how to read the book with young readers.
