I don't know why, but this book didn't give me the information i expected. There was stretches, and strengthening exercises. There was some information about your walking form and how to improve your time. I guess my goal is weight loss and there wasn't much about that and how to increase your aerobics with walking. Of course, the book i read was a very old version and did not have many internet resources (I bought it at a garage sale). I will work with some of the stretches and such to see if they help.
Honestly, I found this book to not really give me much that I didn't already know. There was a lot of "walk...you'll be more healthy." And, really, who doesn't know that? That being said, I was absolutely fascinated by the discussion of feet and shoes. I found out why my ankles always pronate and that my decade old shoes really do need to be replaced. This book has also inspired me to start training for a marathon, although I think I will find another book to help me through the process, since the section on training was a little weak.
