Recently rescued after years of captivity, Murphy tries to navigate his newfound freedom. Nothing is like what he knew. His brother Blaze is happily married, and he feels so... lost in this world.
And Blaze's former mentor, Shaw? Shaw is now guarding him around the clock. He's seeing things that Murphy would rather keep hidden.
He's seeing Murphy at his weakest, when Murphy has flashbacks and episodes. What's more, he's holding Murphy through them.
Murphy has never had a relationship, and he has completely no idea what to do with these feelings that are starting to blossom in his chest.
His new friends are a bunch of helpful dumpster rats with too many suggestions about what he can do, but they don't help with the butterflies in his stomach. At all.
( light daddy/boy, caring/protective daddy, no age-play ) Note: Murphy's book should be ready much sooner than the current preorder date - due to the chaos in my life, I can't promise an exact release date until his book is fully written - hopefully Feb 2023? Updates will be announced on my newsletter! Sorry for the inconvenience caused!
I've been waiting for Murphy's story since we first learned about him in Guarding His Enemy. I needed him to find his perfect alpha and get his happy ever after.
We have Murphy, who was kidnapped and sold into a sex trafficking ring for six years. He was 15 when he was taken, and now he's trying to get his bearing and adjust to life as a free man. He still carries a lot of trauma from that time, but with the sweetest alpha ever written, Shaw at his side, he slowly finds his footing in a world that has changed since he was gone.
Shaw is literally perfect. I adored him so much and the way he put Murphy as his number one…my heart. Murphy is still scared and recovering from his experience, but Shaw is always there for him. Murphy has known nothing but abuse, so while he wants to be desired and loved for him, sex has been nothing but a traumatic and horrific experience with alphas. Shaw though takes his time making sure that he is comfortable and reassures him and shows all the pleasure he can get sexually.
Their first heat together was quite inventive and cute in ensuring that Murphy was satisfied while Shaw's alpha needs did not take over. Those small things they do together while Murphy becomes comfortable and has a safe space to explore his sexuality was adorable. I really loved the Daddy elements in this story. Shaw is such a caretaker, and Murphy can 100% rely on him. We also got sounding and sex on a bull riding machine.
The dumpster rats! Goodness, those omegas are such a loveable bunch and it's always just pure chaos with them, especially Emmy. Every time he opens his mouth, just unfiltered nonsense comes out. I love him and can't wait for his story! I don't know how Varrick is going to handle him.
The group chats have been one of the funniest aspects of the more recent Meadowfall books, pure chaos and fun.
Overall I enjoyed it, another fantastic addition to the Daddies for Dumpster Omegas series! Already excited and looking forward to Landon's story!
Oh, Murphy. Such a sweet omega who has been through a horrific experience. Now he's free but he has the security of twenty four hour protection in the form of Shaw, an older alpha who Murphy knows from before. Shaw is older, has grown children and is widowed. Now he's drawn to Murphy from the first moment they meet but tries his hardest to stay strong and keep himself from Murphy. Murphy is understandably scared and reticent about being around people but especially alphas but he cannot keep himself from wanting to be nearer Shaw and developing trust in him. It's sweet how protective Shaw is over Murphy, wanting to ensure his safety but also his physical and mental welfare. When it comes to anything physical between them, it takes Murphy voicing what he wants before Shaw will move forward, something that helps cement his trust. Murphy, underneath the trauma that he has been through, wants to be desired, be good enough for another but doesn't see himself that way, with 6 years of abuse leaning heavily on him. However, Shaw has a way that makes him see the lighter side and enough belief for the two of them that their future together will be long, happy and hot. Who knew playing the drums could get so..... physical. It's good getting to know the other Dumpster Omega's better. Emmy just cracks me up, Landon tugs on your heart and we already know that Caulin and Wes have their own HEAs. Clues are left as to who may be together in future books and I'm looking forward to all of them. Another wonderful alpha/omega romance from Anna Wineheart that has plenty for everyone - age gap, hurt/comfort, bodyguard, mpreg, heat/rut, mates. Definitely recommended. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
First side eye for the beginning. How are you openly being smexy in the kitchen when your just rescued brother is home. And you know horrid things happened to him. Then you don’t even stop when he runs out the room triggered. Now that’s off my chest. The boom was ok. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. Not so much Daddy. I’m happy Murphy found his people and got his alpha. Listen to the author when she says this book doesn’t dive deep cause it doesn’t. Everything is more on the light side including the “suspenseful” part. The writing was ok, the smexy was nice. I love knots and claiming bites. The diversity was zero.
So, A DADDY for the Rescued Omega…not a daddy book. No daddy in sight. 🙄
This book was long. And for a long book, you’d think there would be some type of addressing of Murphy’s issues and him dealing with his past trauma, but no. There’s not. And I get that this book wasn’t supposed to be a deep dive into trauma, but can we please not act like Shaw’s knot cures it all?
Murphy was held captive for 6 years and used and abused over and over again. And here we have Murphy’s brother and his mate having sexy time in the kitchen, a shared space, where he’s only been rescued for a week. Insensitive much? Then we have Shaw who can’t even control himself enough around Murphy that he has to “take care of” his pants problem several times, even stopping at a friends house to do it in their bathroom once. Seriously bizarre character choice there.
There were a lot of bizarre choices here. Some of the scenes didn’t seem like they really belonged and Murphy seemed like he wasn’t really present most of the time. While I like Murphy and Shaw together overall, the way they went about it was such an oddity to me. I wish this had worked better for me, but I’m left scratching my head and wondering if I should hold out hope for the next book.
The second book “Daddies for Dumpster Omegas” is about Murphy and Shaw. Murphy had been held in captivity for six years before being rescued. His kidnapper abused Murphy physically, sexually, and emotionally. It was the most terrifying time in Murphy’s life. Now, being rescued, he had to come to terms that he did not have to live in constant fear and learn to trust the people who loved him.
At this confusing time, Phoenix had his bodyguard, Shaw, switch to Murphy’s bodyguard full-time. Shaw is a fearless bodyguard and would protect Murphy with his life. As time goes by, Murphy wants to seek employment and Shaw allows him to interview with a few places. At his new place of employment Murphy meets some of the dumpster Omegas and is invited to join them and meet the rest of the Omegas with Shaw there but at a distance.
Shaw is extremely patient and careful around Murphy so he doesn’t scare him and eventually allowed Murphy to trust Shaw more and more until Murphy felt safe by Shaw’s side; their time together blooms into a romantic relationship. But trouble lies ahead for Murphy as his kidnapper comes back to take Murphy back with him, but no matter what happened Murphy would protect his Alpha even with his own life.
I enjoyed the story and Anna Wineheart brought us through a romance, an Omega in heat, a pregnancy, the child’s birth, a wedding, and what lay ahead for their family’s future. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced read copy of this book.
The romance in the spice were as sweet as they always are with this author, but the topic was a little too serious and a little too avoided to make the book work for me. Murphy got back from 6 years of sex slavery, and within a week was trying to see his Alpha protector's knot?
And it's just too weird that Murphy's brother-in-law will basically be paying Shaw to bodyguard Murphy for the rest of their lives. And everyone acts like this is normal.
These books are the kind of books where a lot of the emotional and important stuff happens off page, and then it's casually dumped into conversation later. It kind of works with a lot of topics, I'm not sure it can work with sex slavery.
And honestly, I read this book AFTER blaze's book, hoping to see the brothers know each other a bit, but that didn't happen even a little bit. I'm not sure we saw the brothers interact at all. Which is really bizarre.
Each new book in this series gives me a new favorite couple and this one is no different. After years of being tortured Murphy is finally free but still needs help. Shaw is an alpha from his past that is now there to protect him but after all that he endured Murphy is not sure that he can trust any alpha again. Watching these two find their way made for a beautiful read. I love how understanding Shaw is and how he puts Murphy’s needs first all the time. It was nice to see their trust develop into something deeper. Not only do we get a wonderful couple but the supporting characters brought a lot to this story. It was nice to see all the friendships and connections in this story. The author has woven a great world full of endearing and strong characters that pull on your heart as they work their way towards their happiness.
A Daddy for the Rescued Omega is the third book in the Daddies for Dumpster Omegas series by author Anna Wineheart. This is a male pregnancy daddy/boy omega book. This one for me was the most serious book in the series. Murphy goes through a lot and a sensitive reader might find his journey a little rough for them to read. I loved the emotion and love in this book. Murphy is an Omega. He has been through hell and back. Now he needs to learn to trust again. Shaw: he wants Murphy to trust him. He has a lot of guilt over what Murphy went through. He is very attracted to him. But wants to be Murphy’s rock in the storm. I loved this book, it is the third book in the series, I felt this story is in deed a middle book, so you should read this series in order. I cannot wait for more from this series in the future.
Such a fun & quirky series! These Dumpster Omegas are trippy, for sure. )Lots of personality & history for each of them, great friendships & loves to navigate & nurture, not to mention babies/kids, of course. And their alphas, all those shenanigans.... Shaw & Murphy have a lot to work through to get to their own HEA - trauma sucks, but Shaw is there & does all he can. Phinny & Blaze too, as well as the alphas & omegas they call friends. Other side-plots unfold alongside the main stories, and it's just a fun group to hang out with & wonder what the heck is gonna come out of Emmy's mouth next? Get ready for Landon & the alphas with their eyes on him - and maybe each other? (if they don't kill the other, first
You're damaged. So how can your bodyguard love you?
I love this series! The gang is back together. I've missed them. This book focuses on bodyguard Shaw and his charge, Murphy. I won't repeat the blurb. Suffice it to say that this book has triggers. The past trauma is not gratuitous. There are the loyal dumpster omegas, protective alphas, and a threat from the past. There are also humor, sex toys, heats, ruts, really hot sex, and not one but two weddings complete with contractions. This book covers the trauma in a sensitive, non-judgmental manner. It will not offend anyone. You are simply gonna love this book!
I know I will always be waiting until I can read the next Anna Wineheart book and this one didn't disappoint! I like the humor put in her books, but this one went back to a more serious tone than the last few and I have to say I really enjoyed that! Murphy and Shaw have a bittersweet story. Murphy needs patients and plenty of love and Shaw comes with an abundance of both for him! I don't like really telling a lot about the book in my reviews because you can read then blurb and get an idea of what the book is about, but I like to tell the person scrolling down into the reviews that I really liked this book and yes, I think you should give it a read as well.
I am so happy that Murphy gets his much deserved HEA. I liked that he started making friends and that he wanted to work to support himself. Shaw couldn't have been more perfect. He took his time showing Murphy that not all Alphas are bad. I also liked that he didn't pressure Murphy in any way and let Murphy become comfortable around him. The plot was pretty low angst with only a hint of Murphy's past showing up. I enjoyed the texting chats between the dumpster omegas and also the chats between Shaw and his friends. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
This is the second Anna Wineheart book I’ve tried to read, and I think this author is just not for me. I don’t mind some spice in my books but holy crap. In the other one I tried to read, everyone was either thinking about sex or talking about sex constantly. I hoped this one would be different, but no.
I mean it’s literally 5% into the damn book, their first interaction, and what happens? The alpha simply looks at him, immediately gets a boner, and the omega stares at it. Before they even have a singular conversation. Idk maybe it gets better but I think that was a clear enough sign for me to drop the book.
Rescued after years of abuse, Murphy is in need of a barrier between himself and the world, the solution is found in bodyguard Shaw. Shaw whom he knew from before his kidnapping is an alpha whom he can trust and slowly becomes his safe place and someone who he turns to fir help and guidance. Slowly their relationship evolves into more.
A sweet, low angst read, filled with humour, wonderful friends. A little bit of drama and a wonderful HEA. I can’t wait for the next dumpster Omega to find their alpha next.
I loved Murphy and Shaw. Sweet Murphy has been through a traumatic experience and Shaw was the best Alpha for him. He was the perfect balance of sweet, tender, protective and respectful. Murphy is so much stronger than he credits himself for. I really enjoyed seeing him open up and make friends with the Dumpster Omegas. The intimate moments between Shaw and Murphy were scorching hot. Emmy is a hot mess and I love his OTT personality. I can't wait to see him give Varrick a run for his money.
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.
Murphy is a rescued omega kidnappee who needs a bodyguard. Shaw is Murphy’s brother, Blaze’s, mentor and an older alpha. Phoenix, Blaze’s husband, hires Shaw to be Murphy’s 24-hour bodyguard. Murphy and Shaw have known each other since Murphy was a youngster. Now, at 22 and no high school education because of the kidnapping, Murphy is leery of all alphas. I like the way Anna slowly gets Murphy and Shaw together and how Shaw slowly gets Murphy’s trust. They make an amazing pair.
I loved how supportive and protective of Murphy everyone was, but especially Shaw. It's always a bonus when this author includes past favorite characters, and this one had several well loved ones. Air kisses to Colin! Shaw's dirty sheets- what a laugh riot! I found the alpha chats amusing, but the omega's chats were a hoot and a half!!!! All those tattoos- so sweet. The "15 years later" was an adorable update.
I liked Murphy and I felt that he has a rough time of it. His brother takes him in but in my opinion, he does not really care about him because he does not take into account his triggers. I did not like Shaw. I don't think they made a good match because he was supposed to be a bodyguard for him not in a relationship with him. This was not my favorite of her works. I received a complimentary copy of this story and I freely left this review.
This book was great! I was so happy for Murphy to have his story and that it was with Shaw. They are such a great couple and I loved reading their story. Anna does a great job coming up with twists in the book that keep it more than just alphas and omegas getting together and getting pregnant. I love all of her books in the Meadowfall universe and I cannot wait for Emmy and Landon to also get their HEAs as Dumpster Omegas!
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
I really wanted to like this. Unfortunately, Murphy's "recovery" from being sexually trafficked for six years was almost non-existent - all barriers were put up by Shaw, not Murphy, and he was sexually active within a few days of rescue despite being terrified of sex. And Shaw... I couldn't marry the two images of him - one a professional 50 year old bodyguard and one a horny 12 year old who gets turned on with a slight breeze.

The story was great. It touched on some intense topics but was mostly focused on healing, growing as characters and learning to trust and fall in love. I was glad that his problems didn’t instantly disappear just because he found love. He continued working and Shaw helped him.
This is one of the sweetest Alpha/omega love stories I have read in a while. Shaw is the perfect Alpha for Murphy, and Murphy is such a gentle soul that had to live through such tragedy for 7 years. Well written and the dumpsters were all such characters that they all deserve their own HEA. Recommend reading.
I loved Murphy and Shaw's story. I loved getting to see how Murphy met the Dumpster Omegas. Emmy was my favorite. He's so over the top and has such bad ideas, but you can see the love he has for each of the Dumpster Omegas. I loved the cake Phinny made for Murphy's bachalor party. I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited program.
I will never understand how Anna's mind works, nor do I want to. Lol
Anna always brings us two main characters with flaws, or so they think. Murphy is a rescued omega who had been kidnapped for six years, and Shaw is an Alpha hired by Murphy's brother Blaze to protect him, that was until Shaw developed feelings.
I love the term Dumpster Omegas for omegas who think they aren't good enough for society. But have so much to offer especially love. Although there are some triggers, this is another fun/odd omega verse book. Never a dull moment.
Great story, age gap, omega/alpha, male pregnancy, and of course, our HEA. This book has a few triggers, so read the warnings first.
A Daddy for the Rescued Omega (Daddies For Dumpster Omegas Book 2) Kindle Edition by Anna Wineheart
One of the sweetest alphas ever. I loved Shaw's intuitiveness toward Murphy with his desire to protect and care. I could picture his tentative overtures of hugs and kisses. Love love, loved this one.
This is a great story that quickly drew me in and kept me turning the pages. I adore Murphy and Shaw and thought they were perfect for each other. I couldn’t’t put the book down. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Awww that wad the cutest! Shaw and Murphy what a lovely couple! I absolutely loved the sweetness and tenderness between them! It was a very sweet book! I loved it! And the smexy scenes muah!
Another nice book in the Meadow Falls universe. It was great to see Murphy blossom under the loving attention of Shaw. I enjoyed seeing him adjust to the world again and find people to have in his life.
Murphy got over most of his trauma way too quickly, and there's no Daddy kink in this book at all. I've been anticipating this story for a long time, and I was rather disappointed by it because the author has done hurt-comfort much better than this.
