What’s tall, handsome, with a devilish smile and piercing blue eyes?
My best friend’s older brother that was completely off-limits.
It wouldn’t be such a problem to avoid Jack (and the butterflies he causes to swarm in my belly), except that he was constantly in my space. Or maybe I was in his? It was hard to tell since I was now working for his family.
Either way, we were both adults and knew how to resist temptation.
Or at least I thought we did.
When my apartment got broken into, I found myself with nowhere to go, so Jack offered his spare room. I should have said no, but I had no other options.
You would think that with him being a firefighter, he would know how to put fires out— not start them.
It was a temporary situation, but my resolve has never been great, especially when tested by someone as good-looking and smooth as he was.

Samantha loves connecting with her readers, so here’s a list of where you can find her:
After her father passes away, 25 year old Kensy returns to her hometown of Beaumont Creek to start fresh. Thankfully, she's able to crash on the couch of her childhood best friend Lia and is given a job at her family's restaurant to help make ends meet.
What she doesn't expect is the visceral reaction she experiences in the presence of the one man she can't have, Lia's older brother Jack Capshaw. As a firefighter, he is known by his surname, and is surprised at the attraction he feels for his little sister's best friend.
So when Lia's lease is up and Kensy experiences a break in at her new apartment, Capshaw moves her in to his spare room. Npw they're both playing with fire and it looks like they're going to get burnt...
I really enjoyed this book! It was very 🔥🔥 and there are many spicy scenes throughout the story, which are very specific. The one thing I will say is that I didn't love all the food references in those moments.
I loved the character development of both Kensy and Capshaw, especially how they handled aspects of their pasts that come back to haunt them. There were some strong themes and I really didn't expect that third act twist at all!!
Thank you to Author Samantha Baca & BookSirens for providing me with this ARC. All opinions shared are my own.
I have been anxiously waiting for this book since we met Capshaw (Jack) back in book one. I immediately needed to learn more about him, how his mind works, and what makes him tick. This book did not disappoint at all. If you read one book by Samantha Baca, this one is it! We meet Capshaw's family who we haven't seen before, so we see what he's really like away from his firefighting buddies. Capshaw's sister's best friend Kensy moved away years ago, but she's back in town and he doesn't want to admit he has it bad for her. Once Kensy *temporarily* moves in with him, nothing's off limits. Once this fire starts, it doesn't stop. I absolutely loved how demanding (not in a mean way) Capshaw was when he felt like Kensy was hiding something from him.
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love a best friend's brother with an age gap, lots of laughter, and firefighters.
Third Time’s the Charm follows Jack “Capshaw” and Kensy to their HEA. Jack is a 36yo firefighter who’s recently taken a sabbatical to help at the family restaurant while his stepdad recovers from accident/surgery. Desperate for quality, reliable staff to hire, he takes a chance on his little sister’s best friend, Kensy. He hasn’t seen her in years; the woman who walks through the door looks nothing like the awkward teen in his memory. Kensy is reeling from the loss of her father, her one and only constant. Abandoning them both, her mother left to chase her career when Kensy was only 11. Now alone, jobless, penniless, she’s determined to do whatever it takes to set her roots and grow a life for herself.
Mild spoiler, Jack finds out he’s a father and is thrust into parenthood. Honestly, it has great potential to be a conflicting moment for him and Kensy, but it just all seems to work out? Jack never really makes a grand gesture in my mind, at least not in a way that buttoned up his relationship with Kensy and their roles as a made-family. He doesn’t propose, she doesn’t adopt his kid as her own… but they do buy a house together? Maybe I’m just a little salty because there isn’t an epilogue that puts a nice bow around their cute fam. The story just sort of abruptly ends after he eats guac out of her 🐱 and she internally monologues about loving how they’ve grown from just f*cking to making love.
Overall, the story is a straight-shot plot that moves along nicely through the arc. I wish that the interactions and tension between Jack and Kensy were explored more on-page; he talks about resisting his desires but we don’t really get to see in-scene the tension building. I do love how protective Jack is, and am onboard for any and all of the hot fireman vibes 🥵 ! Not having read the first two books in this series, I’m wondering if there is more character development in earlier books that is taken for granted/glossed over in this book. That said, it can be read as a standalone. I am most likely going to try at least one more from the series, especially if the others follow other sexy firemen too.
Tropes: -small town romance -age gap -best friend’s older brother -protective, I’ll save you vibes -fireman 👨🚒 -secret/surprise baby -food play/food kink

Kensy’s father passed away and she moves back to her hometown. She stays with her best friend until she finds her own place. Not even a full month there and she has a break in. Luckily Kensy’s best friends older brother invites her to live with him.
Capshaw is a firefighter. Ladies man. Town bachelor. Never wanted to commit and settle down. That is until he sees Kensy for the first time in years. His little sister’s best friend. She’s off limits and he doesn’t care.
This was a hilariously cute story. I loved Capshaw and Kensy’s chemistry. Their love for all things guacamole. A huge twist I honestly didn’t see coming. I loved how family and friends all come together to help Capshaw with his…. surprise. Lots of spicy scenes. Allll the food play!
Age gap. Dual POV. MF. Forbidden sisters best friend. Small town romance.
This is an ok story with a few fun moments; it does not drag. Kensy is returning to her hometown of Beaumont Creek; her best friend since childhood Lia, who gives her a place to crash and a job at the family restaurant. The job is temporary until she gets her business off the ground.
Lia’s brother Capshaw (Jack) has just taken leave from his job at the fire station to help with the family restaurant. I enjoyed the banter between these two, and even though not a top read for me, I hope others enjoy this book.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
I’ve been waiting for this book since we met Capshaw in book one and Samantha did not disappoint!
I loved this book and the spice was chef’s kiss! This age gap, forced proximity, best friend’s brother romance was phenomenal. I loved Capshaw and Kensy I could not get enough of these two!
This book was hilarious and there were so many interesting characters! I had a tough time putting this book down and I the twist was completely unexpected!
I was in between 3 and 4 stars but decided 4 since there was some plot twists and it wasn’t just sex. Yes smut is great but this book had lots of. Even when it really wasn’t needed. Especially on the date to celebrate her tradition she did with her dead father… I almost didn’t finish it because I assumed I’d have 100 more pages of the same stuff but finally got a plot twist and it made it more interesting. Overall not a horrible read.

This book was absolutely HILARIOUS! As well as making me literally laugh out loud, this book had some excellent banter between the characters, some interesting side characters, and a twist I definitely did not see coming.
Jack Capshaw just seemed so lost. It seemed like he was looking for love in all the wrong places. And he did want love. He and Jane had messed around for quite a while, but he never showed interest in her children, it wasn’t like she was ever going to give him a true chance at filling the job. However, after reading her book you come to see her walls were not only too high but also too thick to break through. It took a man like Dominic who already had a child and worked with children to talk to her broken, scared, and lonely heart. Capshaw hadn't been there, yet.
However, he was dealing with his family crisis at the restaurant and had to take leave from the profession he had worked hard to get into. He comes to realize just how much he wants to be coupled up. To have that special someone to come home to, to share those things no one knows with, and the one you have children with. It's not until his sister tells him she has the perfect person to work at the restaurant. Right away Capshaw is poo pooing it. Without hearing her out saying they don’t need one of her flaky friends they need someone qualified to work the restaurant.
His mom was there then and said to hear her out. He said okay, “Who?” Kensy. No! Especially once he saw her. No, told him she moved back when her father passed away six months ago. But more importantly no one took the time to mention that she looked more like a damn woman now, and not the awkward teen she left as. He didn’t mean to sound so condescending, but he also couldn’t view himself working with Kensy daily and not thinking about her in a way he shouldn’t. You’re so critical,” Lia laughed.
“You sure get more crotchety the older you get. Shut up, only going to be thirty-six. Not crotchety, he told Lia. He told her he was just looking out for the family business. Then he broke it to the family he wasn’t, “I’m on indefinite leave.” His mom covered her mouth and gasped. “Son, you didn’t have to do that,” she whispered. “I didn’t want our troubles to become yours.” “I know the job isn’t mine yet, but I have availability during the week, which is when Lia said you guys needed someone,” Kensy said, looking sheepish at Capshaw before lowering her eyes.
He asked Kensy, “What kind of experience do you have?” Her answer convinced him. “When can you start?” The sound of women squealing and screaming excitedly drowned out whatever answer Kensy might have given in that small office. “I can’t believe I got the job!” “I told you that you would.” “Yeah, but your brother is a lot scarier than he used to be. And when did he get so tall? And muscular? Not to mention that strong jawline. Was that always there, or did I miss it?” Lia stopped walking and stared at her. “Are you into my brother?”
She asked, with not a lick of amusement in her tone, but an icy blue eye stared at her. “No. Not at all.” She laughed to try to shake off the nerves that still washed over her. “I just didn’t realize how much he’s changed since the last time I saw him. That’s all.” “Alright,” she said, though she didn’t sound like she bought any of the lies she tried to give her. James had watched while he worked. He observed how seamlessly Kensy had handled the rush and their customers. Yet, he remembered the things he got up to at twenty-five, and couldn't help but feel, Is this the real Kensy?
Things move along quickly in this book but it always keeps your attention. See how these two help each other through a maze of baggage they have both carried long enough. See how they both deal with earth-rocking crises that most would run from but these two run towards to protect what's important. A must-read.
I was really pleased when I discovered that this book was Capshaws story,if you have read the other books we have met him before. He is a bit of a charmer and a ladies man but he just fails at relationships and at love,so I was glad that he finally finds a woman who knocks him off his feet. Kensy is that woman she is back in town after being away for years, her father passes away and she is now alone. So her best friend Leah(Capshaws sister) invites her to stay with her until she gets back on her feet...So that is what she does moves back to Beaumont creek. Capshaw is a firefighter but he is on leave to help run the family restaurant buisness while his dad recovers from surgery....But they are so busy and need to hire someone and his sister Leah suggests Kensy...of course she is hired and what follows is two people attracted to eachother but fighting that attraction. Capshaw is so taken back by Kensy and the woman she has grown up to be,he only remembered the goofy teenager and she is not like that anymore.Kensy is beautiful funny sweet and someone he wants to get to know better. But Kensy was 10 years younger than him and his sister's best friend so she was basically forbidden, but he just can't help flirting with her. Kensy had always had a crush on Capshaw but now he was so much more of a man he once was,he was so handsome and sexy...working with him will be torture. Well the torture becomes worse because Kensy finds herself homeless and Capshaw steps in and lets her stay with him in his guest bedroom....now they are roommates what could go wrong.!! These two are explosive together once they finally get together and fall quickly in love...Now this is the point when I thought they will get their HEA and everything will fall into place.Everyone accepts them as a couple and things are going well. But Samantha Baca has other plans because she throws a curve ball into this story that I didn't expect at all, which could really cause problems in their relationship...Between that and Kensy having problems with her absent mum showing up stressing her out. This brand new romance could all just fall apart under the pressure. I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook which was narrated by Mel Helfin, she reads all characters in this book and does a fabulous job at it...I liked her voice and loved listening to her. Third Times a Charm by Samantha Baca is another Amazing book in this series and it was a delight to listen to. Brilliant story loved it. 5 Stars.
With his stepfather unable to work due to a recent surgery, firefighter Jack Capshaw decides to take indefinite leave from his job to help out at their family restaurant, the Surf 'N Shack. Even with Capshaw there, the restaurant remains short-staffed, so his younger sister Lia suggests hiring her best friend, Kensy, who's recently returned to Beaumont Creek following her father's death. She's looking for something to pay the bills while she tries to get her photography business off the ground. For several reasons, Capshaw is initially reluctant to hire Kensy, but he soon realizes that she's a hard worker and great with the customers. Besides, as far as his parents and sister are concerned, Kensy is family, and that means doing whatever they can to help her get back on her feet. It also means that he must resist the temptation to act on his secret attraction to her - especially when she needs a place to stay and ends up crashing in his guest room.
I was excited to read Capshaw's story after meeting him in the earlier books of this series, but it turned out to be even better than I'd hoped. He was such a sweet guy and I loved that even though he felt protective of Kensy, he was willing to stand back and let her make her own decisions. He respected the fact that she wanted to make it on her own and waited to offer help until she was ready for it. Their chemistry was fantastic and the mutual pining early in the story was very well done. When they finally got together, there was plenty of steam, though I will say that the many food references in those scenes weren't my cup of tea. I did enjoy the humor, however (the power outage scene had me laughing out loud), and the twist in the final third of the book was a real shocker. It kept me on the edge of my seat right up until the end, and I adored the way everything was resolved.
Overall, I very much enjoyed this funny, sweet, and steamy story, which I highly recommend for all fans of contemporary/small town romance. I look forward to the author's next release.

Having read Just One Time, i've been looking so forward to more from this author and series! As soon as i stumbled across the announcement for this book, it caught my eye. I knew i had to read it next. I picked it up and got right back into the Beaumont Creek world! I enjoyed this story so much!
Jack Capshaw and Kensy's journey pulled me in! Kensy is best friends with Lia, Jack Capshaw's sister. As Kensy arrives back in Beaumont Creek she's in need of a job and Lia convinces Jack to hire her to work at their family's restaurant. He's a firefighter and she's figuring things out. When a certain situation leads to Jack offering her a place to stay, can they ignore the sparks between them? or can giving in prove to be everything for them?
I really liked how quickly i got into Capshaw and Kensy's story and the way they were brought back into each other's lives. I wasn't sure how they'd tackle working together, their new living situation, and the feelings they brought out in one another which had me turning the pages even more so. Both Kensy and Capshaw had me grinning and feeling so much throughout! The chemistry between these two was undeniable.
Letting someone in can be wonderful, which this story and it's characters sure showed. I so enjoyed what the other characters brought to story and getting to be back in Beaumont Creek! I also loved the whole brother's best friend, forced proximity, and age gap aspects of this story as well!
With Third Time's The Charm, Ms.Baca has created such a good and entertaining read that brought the spicy and heart! I was so glad to read another one of this author's books. I can't wait to dive back into this series with the fourth installment, Four-ever Single! Be sure to check out her work, if you haven't already! 💗
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
The Capshaw family has been overwhelmed, caring for their dad as he recovers from a health issue and rehab while keeping the family business afloat. With dad unavailable and mom taking care of dad, the family restaurant is short-handed. Jack takes a LOA from his firefighting crew to help out, and Lia brings her friend Kensy by as an extra worker too. Jack is skeptical, but Kensy turns out to be a godsend for the family and the restaurant. And he can't help noticing that Kensy is looking a lot more grownup.
Our story takes a number of twists and turns, as Jack and Kensy are pulled together over and over again. The hurdles keep on coming, and while I almost wish there weren't quite as many of them I do see how they advance the story. Fortunately the love and support of friends and family keep on coming as well. Likeable lead and side characters. And it definitely has the feel of a series, where you'll want to know a lot more about most of the characters we meet.
The writing is good, the characters are interesting. There was an odd moment or two where if felt like we had compulsary current attitudes spelled out regarding gender roles and financial independence. But you want to stick with the story to see where this ride is going to end up. It's an enjoyable read that you won't want to put down.

😊What i liked -
✔ Age Gap/Best Friend's Brother/Small Town/Forced Proximity. ✔ Capshaw had my heart from the first book. Caring, protective and a total softie. ✔ I cried a bit for Kensy. Re-starting her life. Such a strong bubbly character. ✔ I loved their fun and flirty relationship. ✔ My favourite scene of the book was "The Flashlight" scene. It was hilarious and spicy. ✔ This book is a fantastic combination of Heartbreak, Loss, fun, fireworking swoon, tons of laughter and a boatload of spice with a cute little twist.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ I wanted the book to be a bit longer than what it was.

P.s- I am so happy that Capshaw got his own book and it was as good as I hoped it would be.
This was the first book I have read from Samantha Baca. It was good, not great but that being said I am intrigued to read more!
Kensy moves back home to live with her best friend after her father passes away. She is down and out on her luck but thankfully gets a job at her best friend’s parent’s restaurant. Where she spends time with Lia’s (best friend) brother, Jack.
Circumstances bring Jack and Kensy living together and naturally their mutual attraction to each other comes to a boiling point. The ‘flashlight’ tipping it over. It was humorous if not a little naïve and unrealistic.
The big plot twist in their relationship was a real test of their budding relationship. I like how it was handled between the two of them, however I feel as if it was left slightly unfinished.
I almost expected a little more when Lia learned of her best friend and brother got together but it still played out well.
My biggest issue which is why I had to do 3 stars… is the food kink. You do not and I repeat do not put cake nor guacamole down there. Hello yeast infections/utis and more… sorry but just no.
With all that being said, it may have sounded negative, and really the only problem I had was the food kink, it was a good book that I enjoyed reading.
This was a sister's best friend off limits romance.
This was an enjoyable read with relatable characters. Would recommend.
Kensy Livingston needs a job. She currently lives with her best friend Lia, Jack's younger sister. She is trying to setup her own business as a photographer on the side.
Jack Capshaw is a firefighter. He takes an indefinite leave to help his family run their restaurant after his father's surgery. With Kensy helping in the restaurant he is able to go back to work at the fire department.
Lia asks her family for a job for Kensy. Jack is reluctant, but after seeing how quickly she picks up the routine, is glad they hired her. When Lia's rent is raised significantly she moves back home with her parents. Kensy finds an apartment in a bad section of town, it's the only thing she can afford. Her apartment is broken into and all her money is stolen. She goes back to the restaurant planning to sleep there, but Jack offers her his spare room. They wind up sleeping together and beginning a relationship. Their world is dramatically impacted by someone from Jack's past almost tanking their relationship. They handled their issues and get their HEA.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the 3rd book in the series and the 3rd book I read from this author. While I liked the characters in the first 2 a lot and the chemistry I felt both book 1 and 2 lacked a little depth. But clearly I like finishing series so I read this one in a few hours since Capshaw intrigued me. This was my favorite so far. It had spicy chemistry between Capshaw and Kensy. While he was 11 years older and her best friend’s older brother he did try to not act on his attraction to her. His relationship and banter with his step sister Lia is adorable. I like how caring he was with Kensy and the dramatic twist of his player ways catching up to him with the arrival of his kid at the firehouse safe drop off. It was neat to see him torn between wanting to take care of both his baby and his girlfriend. Also liked seeing Kensy trying to find her own footing after her dad’s death and her return to her old hometown.
Loved seeing Abby, Nate, and Jane make an appearance in this book.
Good amount of spicy scenes between them. Though the most unbelievable part was her mistaking his eggplant for a flashlight.
Overall this book feels like it had more layers to it than the other stories.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I cannot rave enough about how fun this book is. Jack Capshaw and Kensy are so playful and flirtatious, which leads to a lot of spicy moments filled with some surprise guest appearances (IYKYK)! You’ll definitely need to grab yourself and all your friends a copy of this book. It’s so fun and you’ll find yourself laughing and grinning along with the terrific characters of this book.
Jack Capshaw has finally found the woman worth settling down for. Kensy being his little sisters best friend barely gives him pause, because he’s the type of guy to go after what he wants. When she’s out in a precarious situation, his extremely protective and possessive side comes out and it’s smokin hot!
Kensy is finding her way in the world after the only family member she truly has passed away. After a series of misfortunes, she takes the handsome firefighters offer to move in with him, knowing where her attraction to him might lead. When the tension snaps, she’s not afraid to go all in.
But as they settle into their brand new relationship, two huge bombshells are dropped on them, causing cracks to form and Kensy begins to pull away while Capshaw struggles to juggle the new addition in his life and his girlfriend.
So, going into this, I didn’t realize it was the third book in a series (that can be read as a stand alone). I got this in some bookish subscription box and it sat on my shelf forever.
A formatter or proof reader would have been a good investment but that may just be being picky about formatting.
I… I’m getting the most intense ick from the constant taco double entendre… I hate it. Along with the cringey ass dialogue.
Yeah, I vehemently detest the surprise baby from another woman trope. While I was ready to power through it for the sake of finishing since I was already about 85% of the way through. That went out the fucking window the second I read the name ‘Brayleigh’. Absolutely the fuck NOT, thank you.
The book was almost funny enough to make me laugh, but it was more just grimaces because I wanted to like it but just couldn’t force it. I don’t know. This one just wasn’t for me.
Third Time’s the Charm is a light and funny brother’s best friend romance. It’s also the third book in the Beaumont Creek Series. You don’t need to read the other books first.
Kensy was Jack Capshaw’s sister’s childhood best friend, who recently moved back to Beaumont Creek. Jack’s dad had surgery and isn’t able to work at their family restaurant, so they hire Kensy to help out. The two of them are immediately attracted to each other.
This book was short, but fun to read. I enjoyed the puns and innuendos before they hooked up which built tension. There was an especially award moment involving a flashlight. The spice was also a lot of fun. Jack had a panty fetish and there were scenes with blindfolds and ice cubes. They even got down with some food items including a cucumber and some guacamole.
I’ve really liked this series and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.
I was so excited for Capshaw’s story as you meet him in the first two books of Samantha’s Beaumont Creek Series. Third Time’s The Charm is the third book where she continues to bring to life this little town and invite you into the lives of some of the people. I found myself quickly engrossed into Capshaw and Kensy’s story, he’s trying to help out his family and she is trying to start over. Working together in his famliy’s restaurant they struggle with their attraction towards each other knowing that it’s a line they shouldn’t cross. This was full of hot sex, some laughs and unexpected turn of events that test what is building between the two. Fun and entertaining read all the way to the end, you have best friend’s brother, age gap, forced proximity and fun with food. I am looking forward to see what is next for the little town of Beaumont Creek.
OMG this book made me go through every single emotion! Kensy just moved back to town after the death of her father. She’s trying to get her life back on track and the last thing she needs is a boyfriend. Her best friend Lia gets her a job at the family restaurant.
Jack is a firefighter. He took leave from the station because his family needed help running the family restaurant. The family restaurant also needs more help, so younger sister Lia says her best friend needs a job, in walks Kensy.
Can these two make it through the twists life throws at them?
✔️Small town ✔️Friends to lovers ✔️Forced proximity ✔️Banter ✔️ Twists 🔥Firefighter 😂Laugh Out Loud funny

I’m off to find the next book by Samantha Baca. I listened to this in a day! She’s becoming a favorite!
I adore this author and have been (im)patiently waiting for Capshaw’s story. This did not disappoint. The little sister’s best friend trope is one of my favorites and it plays out perfectly here. Kensy has not had an easy life but is always trying to fight her way out of any situation that is bringing her down. I really liked the humor in this book (the flashlight scene made me giggle) and appreciated that the potential issue that could have torn them apart, which has been utilized in other books I have read, was handled in a way I had not read before. I kept waiting for it to have more of an impact, but like everything else Kensy was hit with, she seemed to just roll with it. I enjoyed this book and am enjoying this series overall. I am hoping Jones gets his story next!
Jack and Kensy - sibling best friend, forced proximity
** may contain spoilers **Jack, a local firefighter has taken a leave to help his parents with the family restaurant . Also, back in town is Jacks younger sisters best friend Kensy. Kensy, has recently lost her dad, had a nonexistent mother and is trying to get her photography business up and running. As they work together, they find themselves becoming more attracted to each other. Was cute, relatively fast paced, some thrown in surprise baby drama. Spicy scenes were great until author introduced the food kink. Did not care for the food kink- cucumbers and guacamole is just gross in my opinion. Ending felt rushed but was a HEA.
I was SO excited for Capshaw to FINALLY have his own story, and just like the title, Third Time’s The Charm- because Samantha Baca has done it again and this book does not disappoint!!!
We are back in our favorite small town, Beaumont Creek, with drool worthy Capshaw and some of our other favorite residents like Nate, Abby and Jane! We also get to meet new characters along the way, including Kensy, Bella and even Brayleigh.
As always, she brings the characters and small town living to life, with a feel good romance that leaves a smile on your face. It is funny (just like the rest of the series), super steamy, and so hard to put down!
I have been looking forward to hearing more about Capshaw - the cute and flirty firefighter that Samantha Baca introduced us all to in the first book of this series. Personally, I was bummed when book two came out and he wasn't a part of the tale, but when I heard that he was getting his own book I was excited to revisit his story.
Fast-forward to this book and I must say, this was so much more than I expected. The way in which this author brings her characters together and ties them into their community I always enjoy. I absolutely loved the connection between the two main characters and so many scenes had me laughing out loud repeatedly - something I love about Baca's books. If you love fun, flirty, and spark-flying romance then this book is for you! Plus, you may never look at some foods the same again. I will also say that the worst part of these books is that they end too quickly and as usual I can't wait to see what the next book in the series brings! Happy reading!
A trip back to Beaumont Creek! One of my favorite little small towns. It is Capshaws turn and boy is he in for it. Kensy is his little sisters best friend and she's back in town feeling all sorts of things because she recently lost her dad's. Shes a bit lost and life just keeps throwing her curve balls.
There's a great amount of silliness in this book along with a good mix of the serious as well. Tacos and flashlights and Sour Patch Kids oh my! We get to catch up with Jane/Dominic and Abby/Nate too from the first 2 books which you should definitely go read first if you haven't already!
Oh this book is just what I needed. I needed a pallet cleanser but of course I needed the smut in my books no matter what. Talk about a fire hazard. I absolutely love this book. I love how even though life knocks Kensy down, she keeps moving. She doesn’t let everything hold her down. That’s not to say there isn’t a breaking point for her. There’s only so much someone can take. Kensy is such a relatable person that she feel so real just from reading this story. Plus who wouldn’t want a hot as hell firefighter to rub elbows with. Kensy and Capshaw have some battles they have to overcome but in the end they find their happily ever after. 10/10 this book is on fire. I also love the Capshaw family dynamic. They love each other no matter what. Plus the sister is so over protective of Kensy that she is a true best friend. She will go to war even against her own brother if that’s what it takes to protect Kensy. We all need friends like that.
I absolutely love the Beaumont Creek Series! It is one of my favorite small towns and I was super excited that this book was Capshaw's book! Capshaw is a single firefighter who is also good looking! This story is about Capshaw and Kensy! Kensy is the sister of Capshaw's best friend. However, she is the little girl that he remembers her to be. She ends up having to stay at Capshaw's house and the feelings between them begin to grow. But, is it a line they should cross? You will have to read the book to find out!!
This book will have you laughing and then fanning yourself because it is spicy! I can't wait to see what is next!
