I never know what to tell people about myself. I live at home with my handsome bearded half, my brats, and my zoo.

The characters in my stories are very vocal and demanding. They have no problem keeping me up at night until their lives are properly displayed on paper.

I write about everything from alphas to vampires to hockey players, and everything in between. Welcome to chaos!

I want to preface this by stating this review is going to be negative and it’s nothing against the author, she’s actually really nice but I’m extremely disappointed with this conclusion to this trilogy…and in hindsight the story overall.

Let’s start with the first thing. I have no triggers so I do not particularly pay attention to TW/CWs. If anything, I often use them as a menu to determine if a book is really going to cater to my dark tastes. I recently learned that Avanne had a distasteful response to those who wanted the series to have more detailed list of trigger warnings. At first I was confused because I definitely remembered some sort of warning but even as the third book comes out, this warning has not changed. It is very generic “this book has dark themes” (paraphrasing here) but on her website there is an actual list of the TWs ex) r*pe, violence, etc., this is what should’ve been included in the first place. I don’t think it was too much to copy and paste that or include it vs the response that was given. I think readers deserve more respect than that.

This part will have spoilers to read at your own discretion. I am going to speak my mind so if you don’t like it, I don’t care because this is my review and I said what I said lmao.

girl what the hell was this. I honestly don’t understand what happened with this series at all. These types of omegaverse series have very niche audiences and this one is NOT for those of you who read darker themes in order to relate to the emotions and revel in the HEA/rescue of the main character while also cheering for her growth and strength. This review will spoil across all three books.

There are so many inconsistencies that I honestly don’t even understand what the plot was meant to be. I honestly loved book one. It was brutal, dark, contained bullying and threw our fmc right into some gruesome trauma. I left that book thinking book 2 would have an insane amount of grovelling and self navigation to deal with the traumatic events that occurred. That didn’t happen. In fact, when I dropped a review about how I didn’t understand how she was magically able to move on from such a gruesome sexual assault and horrible treatment from the pack, people wanted to tussle about it.

Book 2 was extremely mid. It was essentially filler that I thought “oh okay…we’re setting up for book 3 where then we will get our justice!”. I ignored a lot of the flaws in book 2 thinking that it would all tie together in book 3. Especially after she hadn’t accepted being an omega, took suppressants, had a bond forced on her, and held a gun to her head because of it. I mentioned that there should’ve been some sort of PTSD and authentic trauma responses and that I didn’t like how Jasper was very clearly the main focus in a review but people (not the author) wanted to tussle so I dipped while I was ahead and removed the review lmao.

Now onto book three. I received an unedited ARC for this book so maybe things have changed but I doubt it.

That trauma? It does not and will not get addressed in a way that makes any sense. This book was terrible, especially because of the inconsistencies, lack of character development, and the horrible disregard for the sexual assaults and trauma that occurred.

The book is 85% sex and 15% random plot that doesn’t make any sense at all. I opened the first page and it was immediately sex. Normally that’d be okay(I mean I’m not a prude, I love a good wrestling match) but it was mostly extremely descriptive and just plain weird especially that first chapter. I didn’t even get a chance to set the mood and get a feel for what was happening before my face was in somebody’s crotch.

SPOILERS:

- Talia was so controlling the entire novel that it did not leave room for any of the characters to grow in some fundamental way. They all quite literally revolved around Talia and her word, regardless of the fact that there are TWO omegas. It was passed off as being so overcome for worry for everyone just for her to take that worry and to turn it into rage and make so many demands of the alphas and treat them horribly.

- I honestly cannot tell you anything of substance about most of the characters because the POVs were so inconsistent, one dimensional, and of course only revolved around Talia. But I can say Nathan had PTSD from book 2. Nightmares and such were mentioned but we see none of that. It does get “resolved” but that’s the end of that.

Let’s talk about if Talia accepts if she’s an Omega.

No. You surprised? Me too. In fact, she hated it and the heat cycles so much that her solution was to get pregnant. Regardless of the fact they haven’t been a pack for that long, her and Devon literally barely speak, Nathan has PTSD, and they simply all are not functioning on a level that a baby should be in. Fictional world or not. But they actually did it. By chapter 12?, she got pregnant to avoid having a heat cycle and dealing with the fact that she’s an omega. But it was put under the guise that she needs to be in control and doesn’t like having that control taken from her. Oh wow, it’s almost like she was gang raped twice and that could be related. We could’ve easily had a therapist involved and some omega classes to help her(something…anything rational??) but no, immediate pregnancy. Imagine irl someone comes up to you and says they were tired of having a period so they got pregnant yet their life is in literal shambles lmao.

Let’s talk about Talia’s trauma:

There are these crumbs of signs that Talia has some PTSD or is experiencing negative responses to the trauma she’s faced. For example, her extreme and constant anxiety surrounding them being safe and unharmed, her literal panic attack at the sight of her rapists father, her not allowing Devon near her in a lucid state, etc. They keep trying to talk to her about it all. Saying “you went through so much it’s okay”, “it’s clear you’ve reached your limit”, etc. Her response? She says that she’s fine and that everything happened because she chose it. She says “I don’t know why you guys keep trying to force me to react in a certain way. It happened and I accepted it and moved on”. She says chose to be abused in those ways and that there’s nothing to worry about because she herself would’ve done it all over again and she would’ve did everything Devon and co. did if she was in their shoes. She wanted to be ditched at the hospital in favour of Jasper, abused, etc. All in the name of Jasper. Of course she’s told that it wasn’t right, but it’s Talia. Talia never listens to anyone but herself. Never in my life have a read a book when there’s two brutal assaults and the author makes it okay by having the fmc saying it was her decision and she would do it again. I’m astounded that I even read the things she said in response. But I guess sexual assault is an okay consequence if you make the choice. She was more mad at Devon than she was at anyone who assaulted her.

Of course this all becomes confusing when Talia is in heat trying to get pregnant she says that her issue with Devon is that he left her. But… another alpha was there with him that night and left too and she has no problem with him so again couldn’t tell you. But of course all is resolved because Talia finally admitted what was wrong and gets preggers.

At this point I’m at about 60% in and I’m over it. I’m over the bandaid pregnancy, I’m over the complete disregard for the brutal SA, I’m over Talia having this one sided beef with her mom that’s never explained…like what’s the issue with that? Is it because she’s over protective and can do the most sometimes? She’s an omega clearly in her nature as Talia does the exact same damn thing. I’m over Talia being so controlling and flat. Whatever…then we get introduce to this weird conspiracy plot point that makes no sense. Like cut the cameras.

Anyway I’m getting off track, at this point at 60+% I’m just lost and over it. I skipped a couple chapters because I’m trying to figure out at what point does she accept being an omega and deal with her trauma. But no it doesn’t happen. We have babies and end on more sex. Did I mention that most of the book was sex? Because it was, I had to push past all the dick to get to the plot. This book is often compared to Pack Darling they are NOT the same. Frankly, I think if the author took out the “dark” aspects then this book would be sweet verse. The end of book 1, all of book 2, and just jump into book 3 and tweak it some then I think it’d just be your run of the mill omega sweet verse novel and that’s it. But with those parts in it? Nothing makes sense because nothing was addressed with substance, all telling no showing.

I rarely, if ever, do a genuine critical review but reading a character say that her brutal gang rape was her choice and that she’d do it again for her partner…without any sort of consequences from such a graphically described event…having pregnancy be a solution to…heats I guess? Idk. This series needed some sensitivity readers, alphas, and betas to at least point out the illogical aspects that occurred.

The most disappointed I've been since Game of Thrones ending!!!
I waited until reading all three books to review them. I tried to be fair as I went along but honestly my overall disappointment likely was reflected in my reviews. I loved about 85% of book one. Book two was spent wondering when these "Heros" were going to start acting like actual heros and when Talia was going to address her trauma. In all honesty trauma victims heal in all kinds of ways. What they can't do is bury it and pretend a baby will fix it.

I've read several other EXCELLENT examples lately which accurately showed the healing process and the dark gritty side of things so maybe I'm unfairly judging but I don't think so.

I'm sorry you can't feature on page rape just for shock value!!!! I kept waiting for Talia to breakdown and the men to step up and get her some f&$#ing counciling but no!!! They were so worried and walking on eggshells they just let her act like getting pregnant was a reasonable thing to do!!!!! What the hell is that? I truly hate leaving bad reviews, but I hope this will help others know what to expect because I am blown away people compare this to Lola and the Millionaires. There are way better representations of trauma response than this. This is a disservice to victims everywhere and it makes me very upset to see it being praised.

This series is constantly being compared to Pack Darling and Lola and the Millionaires, but to me it was not on par. This was a longwinded, and at times offensive, attempt at Sweet Omegaverse.

Let’s get the tag out of the way. I would not class this as dark romance. It has darker themes, but the bullying is low-key and stops immediately after book 1. There is no grovelling, or any satisfying retaliation for what Talia went through.

My first thought after finishing was that three books was massive overkill. For the lack of plot and story, this could have easily been two. This series is very static. There are only a handful of places we see, and 90% of it is at their home base. On top of that, all three books pan out the exact same way; barely any plot, then a kidnapping at around 70%. At the end of this Talia remarks that she’s tired of people trying to kidnap her, that’s it’s ‘cliched’ and you bet your butt it is. It’s excessively boring. What little plot there was was full of inconsistencies, plot holes, and by and large spoon fed to us by other characters rather than shown to us.

There is a longwinded discussion about Talia’s lack of trauma response between the pack and a doctor, and it just read like the author responding to criticism. It was preachy and didn’t make sense to me at all. There is a large point of Talia’s responding to the trauma like a beta rather than an omega, but considering Beta’s are the closest to us ordinary humans this doesn’t excuse her not having a response to her trauma. I stand by my review of the first book; it’s a disgusting use of graphic SA, without the appropriate trigger warnings, that is purely for shock value. Pairing that with the fact that one of Talia’s rapists has a redemption arc? Absolutely not.

I don’t like to give negative reviews, I very rarely do so, but I do feel strongly about this. Readers should know what they are getting themselves into with this, especially when it is being recommended to readers of other book series (eg Pack Darling, Lola and the Millionarires) that handle their darker themes with consideration and care. This series was in desperate need of a good editor and sensitivity readers for a start, and clear trigger warnings.

2 ⭐️ bc I finished it, but If I read the words heat, knot and slick one more time, I am losing it!

I know it’s omegaverse but the authors ability to give you a proper connection to the guys and different characters was nonexistent. Every POV was the same but Corso, Alex and Reid. But it was not enough to really get to know them.

Often enough I didn’t know which POV I was reading. Felt all the same. To many POV can thin out the feelings imo. You get only glimpses of what someone feel and therefore you can’t possibly get a connection. At least if the author can’t deliver it properly.

And the first pack didn’t come up with some cute pet names for her or courting her. It still felt that the fmc was not really important to them. I am disappointed that the author wasn’t able to change that from the first book to the third.

I guess the author should have sticked with less characters and therefore deepen them.

Good bye Rh omegaverse (at least MF) for some time, I can’t really take more.

Avanne Michaels created a work of art. I was given this series as an ARC from Avanne.

The Beta book Three was the (I believe) final of this particular story but definitely not the last. You will have tears, anger, shock but most importantly a sense of joy. This book has all of everything a reader could ever ask for. The way Avanne describes everything is breathtaking and I don’t just mean the very spicy scenes ;) from the knotting to chasing. There is never a dull moment.

This book, the entire series is a must read. I give it a 5/5 review. You will not regret purchasing this series.

Talia has her mate and her pack. Everything would be perfect if there weren't rogues trying to kidnap her and Jasper, if other Omegas weren't missing, and if she didn't have a heat every month. Seriously, her body might be all Omega but her mindset is all Beta. Just how is this going to work?

Can you enjoy a book, finally get what you want, and still be disappointed? Talia is finally getting the adoration I always wanted for her. But there's too much sex and too much Devon. He may have finally pulled his head out of his a** but he will never be my favorite. I do not care about his guilt. He earned it; he can keep it. Every other Alpha is so much more interesting than he is, yet we had chapter after chapter about Devon and his angst. The story overall was disjointed due to the numerous sex scenes. It's disappointing because the first book was such an original story full of trauma that should have been dealt with over the remaining books. Book two didn't live up to book one but I figured the final book would bring it all together. Instead, Talia is all good. No admitted PTSD, just hyperawareness, resentment for her designation, and an insatiable sex drive. Plus, Talia's character changed. Instead of being headstrong and fierce, she was described as sour. Over and over. Jasper can be a diva Alpha-ish Omega but Talia loses her fierceness and becomes a shrew? Really? And that ending! Seriously, what was that? Abrupt isn't a strong enough description. 3.5 stars

Maybe a 2.75 ⭐️ Teetered between 2.5 & 3 🫠

What a story & adventure this series was. It’s dark, intriguing, steamy, so emotional - I couldnt put it down!

However, the ending left me wanting more. I feel like there were so many loose ends that I wish were wrapped up a little more nicely. It felt like they're honestly could have been another book. This left me feeling meh and like it was incomplete.

Overall, I enjoyed the series! However, I felt like it could have been *more*

The Beta: Part Three was a satisfying conclusion to Talia’s story - Talia, the latent omega who thought she was an omega her entire life until she joined the Johnson Pack and met her fated mate, their omega Jasper, and was then claimed by Corso and his Pack. At the conclusion of Part Two, apart from Devon, all members of both packs had put their claiming marks on Talia, creating one giant combined pack with two omegas.

This book was heavy on Devon’s redemption cycle. He needed to earn his place as one of Talia’s alphas after his abhorrent behavior in parts one and two. I could always use more groveling after such behavior, but I feel Talia’s response was appropriate to her personality.

There is plenty of steam. As any good omegaverse should, there is plenty of slick, knotting, and nesting. Jasper and Talia have a matched heat cycle which makes for excellent group sessions, but there are great pairings and threesomes as well throughout.

As always, Talia and Jasper are my favorite pairing within the packs. The omega and omega fated mates pairing is just so pure and makes both stronger as individuals. They are a force to be reconned with. Corso and Talia are close second. His undying devotion is precisely what Talia deserves after everything she has been through.

The overarching danger to omegas still exists from the Rouges, which causes both packs to increase their protective posturing over Talia and Jasper, much to Talia’s dismay. I do not feel this book was as dark as the previous two. Part One is the darkest by far. There are still some potential triggers, so check the TW/CW before reading.

The Beta is one of my favorite omegaverse series, and I am excited to see what is next. Avanne has promised additional series from this universe, and there were a couple of loose ends in the book that could potentially lead to some exciting future books. I hope we get to see the pack again.

You’re telling me this is the ending of this series? Are we sure the author didn’t lose some pages on the publishing house? Like what the actual fuck?
I’m so frustrated, I wish I could take back the last couple of weeks I dedicated to reading this trilogy.
This is honestly horrible, and I’m usually not so critical with books, but this ending took the cake for me. So you’re telling me you’ve been making this half assed plot points, drama and chaos for… NOTHING? NOTHING??? WE DONT EVEN HAVE A CONCLUSION TO IT? IS THIS A JOKE?
I’m not reading any other books from this author. Her characters are not all bad, but they’re not nearly as good as they could be. They’re one dimensional and half the time I forgot who’s POV I was reading.
Talia is absolutely bonkers, the girl needs a fucking intervention or an exorcism, whatever she can get first.
Fuck. I can’t believe these books are recommended so much, yall need to actually get out there and read some actually good literature to get some critical thinking.
Skipping out on fanfics on your teenage years really affects your tastes in books when you’re an adult, and whoever recommends this needed AO3 desperately when they were 15.
Absolutely not recommended.

The third part of The Beta story finds us seeing the bonds of the 2 packs together tightening, and we’ll get to see how Devon finally gets his act together. Talia is a conundrum, for despite now blooming into a late omega, she still appears to have beta instincts. The majority of this book has her pregnant, and I don’t want to give anything away, so I won’t go into details there. It’s fun to see the how the two packs (now one) handle all of that. This Omegaverse is a bit different than some of the others I’ve read, and unique with the the true mate element, and 2 packs coming together. It was an interesting read in that sense. I’ll be honest here, I kind of felt like that book was a really long extended epilogue….we had a little excitement with the rogues, but I really felt like all of that was taking a back seat to the interplay with the pack. Pretty much the whole book was them at their home. There are a lot of characters in play with two packs, and a lot of um, combinations to consider in intimate times…. I think this may be the end of the focused books on Talia’s story, but there are still a lot of questions to be answered in the the world that they set up. It still feels like we have some unfinished business. So I felt like it was paced a bit weird, but I still liked to see the character development and to see what happened with the packs.

One of my favorite omegaverse series!

Devon absolutely melts my ice cold heart for him in this book. Plenty of action about half way through the book that left me gripping the edge of my seat. Jasper and Talia still are being some amazing omegas! I just want more of all of them. I love their new dynamic. 🥰 This series ends in the happiest ending. I think this one might have been my favorite of the 3.

This final book of Talia was so good. I enjoyed the way that Avanne brought the two packs together to make one and showed how they had to figure out how to get along with each other. Especially with having two head alphas and how they worked together.
Those rogues though why can’t they leave her alone, especially now that they are after Jasper as well.
And that ending wow I totally want to see snippets of them in Alpha just to know where they are.

This was the perfect conclusion to Talia and her packs story, I loved how Devon finally redeemed himself in this one, he had a lot to make up for! Jasper and Talia have to be my favourite omegas and I absolutely loved reading their connection grow throughout this series. Overall an amazing ending with Corso being my favourite Alpha out of the lot with him being attuned to Talia and her needs.

This is exactly what I expect from an omegaverse. Except for the freaking bonus of a groveling alpha! Yes, you read that right. I’ve been waiting for an omega to stand up to an alphahole and make him work for it instead of growling himself forgiven. This was a great series and I loved how everything wrapped up. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I loved this book! It was a perfect ending to this trilogy. I will say this is more sweet verse than the dark of the last two books but I think that was necessary for the plot. I really enjoyed seeing the kinder side of some of the MMCs. Would definitely reccomend (and I have lol)

I love the Johnson pack sooo much! I truly wish we could have more of their story and what happens with their family in the future. Everything about their pack dynamics and the chaos that happened around them kept me on the edge of my seat needing more! I highly recommend this series!!

The h's circumstances have the pack in high alert, so they all work well together to protect/manage the h. Heavy Telling was tedious with some good moments but I found the pregnancy/birth boring. The start of the redemption of a baddie was one of the few highlights.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Let me start by emphasizing that you must read parts one and two FIRST, or this one will not make sense. That being said, I got everything I expected out of this third installment. Talia is slowly adjusting to her role as an omega, although that brings with it some hurdles she needs to learn to deal with. Her pack is more in love with her than ever, and even Devon is trying to prove he can be what she needs (and wants). The spice in this book is delicious. Not really any triggers to mention in this third book, except maybe some mild on-page violence, ptsd, and panic attacks. If you are needing to read the first two books, definitely check the trigger warnings. I loved this trilogy and cannot wait for more from the Eastverse.

so freaking good

The third and final book in this series was just as heart pounding and sexy as the first two. I’m so sad this is the end, I loved these characters and watching them grow as a pack was so satisfying. It was hot and exciting and the surprise burrito was everything! This was a phenomenal omegaverse. It’s a perfect blend of plot and smut. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

The Beta Part Three by Avanne Michaels was the third book in this Omegaverse story. We're still will Talia and her pack. In this conclusion, we are really following Devon's "I'm sorry" tour. He did have a lot to make up for. Lots of political intrigue. Talia was finally being treated as the Omega she is. I just love Jasper and Talia together. TW to look at. No bullying. No cheating. HEA finally! Such a sweet ending. Talia deserved to have a great HEA.

This one was so much harder to trudge through than the other two, I definitely think it could’ve been cut down to a duet and didn’t need to be 3 books long. I contemplated dnf’ing a quite few times but I spent too much time on this series to give up on it. Things started to pick up again at about 70% and it got me excited but then it slowed down pretty quickly and I was back to begging the book to be over already.

The first 150 pages are just the pack talking about how awful Devon treated Talia and so much repeated dialogue over the same subject again and again, it was so tedious to read through I could literally feel my brain shutting down. There’s a lot of roundabout conversations throughout the whole series but it was really prevalent in this one.

And a big part of the plot is getting Talia pregnant, which I should’ve expected considering all the talk about babies and such, but I thought it was in a freaky breeding kink kind of way. I’m not really a fan of pregnancy or babies so it wasn’t interesting to me at all.

This was a disappointment as the ending to this trilogy.
We had to sit through trauma lectures that felt shoehorned into the book. We all knew Talia compartmentalizes everything that happens to her & doesn't let herself feel what she would like to because betas are trained to put their emotions on the back burner. We didn't need to hear justification of why she has no sexual trauma after being kidnapped and abused to the point of death. She never overcame these suppressed feelings that were peeking through at the hospital. She blindly assigns blame and votes death for a string puller but befriends and takes responsibility for the actual abuser.
Another disappointment was the lack of group smutt. Just like in the last book, there's more talking/ fantasizing about kinky things happening than what actually happens.
Relationships weren't improved or added, mistakes weren't overcome. It all felt very lackluster.
A large number of grammatical errors and Easter eggs for her next series were distracting from the story.

Where is the rest of it?

I read many of the reviews to see how bad the TWs would be and I went into this knowing the FMC was sexually assaulted in the past and on page. Many of the negative reviews comment on the lack of healing Talia has, she basically just shrugs off her brutal days long r*pe because she used to be a beta. Okay people handle trauma in different ways I can get behind it, I read 50 shades. This whole book felt unfinished though. Did Talia finally accept being softer and her omega designation? No clue. Why didn't the COT team show up when the rogues attacked the manor? No idea. Who's behind the east coast rogues? Hell if I know? How's Seth doing? Probably badly but I won't find out in this series. Where are the other omegas? There's too many unanswered questions and when I hit 90% finished and they were all still unanswered I had to stop and google if this was a finished series or not. It is apparently.

I'd like a prequel. I really would where we get to see badass beta Talia meeting Corso, Alex, and Reed. Focusing on that time of her life and then I can wipe most of these three books from my mind. Literally, I skimmed through the Jasper and Johnson crap in this book I couldn't take it anymore.

Corso? Such a great character who doesn't get enough time to develop further let alone be develop with Talia because Jasper (eye-roll) always has to be there. Reed and Jasper were something I didn't need to happen. Alex and Jasper? same thing. Devon is a douchebag. Kaleb is a douchebag's co-pilot. Nathan and Trent are mostly weak men who followed a douchebag to douche town. I'm just disappointed in this book and understand the flat-out fury other people have with it.

After book 1 the Talia everyone feel in love with has left the building. Her life essentially becomes hogged togged by Alphas (Johnson pack) who are only ever bothered with her because of Jasper. Then Alphas who love her (Zephir pack), but we don't ever see her develop with them because of......you guessed it, Jasper. Talia is the book's heroine and yet she has no agency, no wants, no desires, no goals except have sex, miss her heat, and make Jasper happy (wig). She didn't even suit up to go find and fight for the omegas.

I'm still trying to figure out why we care about Devon?! None but a few likes him, yet half of this book is about him!! The way all roads led to this asshole or Jasper (another asshole) irked me like no other. They all failed her, Jasper included, and literally.........nothing. They all mistreated, abused, neglected, and abandoned her but it can all be solved with sex. She gets gang-raped to save Jasper (ugh) and literally Jaspers is like, "so I've sexually fantasized about you with a bunch of dudes who treated you like shit because of me and I know you JUST got gang raped and left for dead twice but......I'm taking your agency away to make decisions about your body." (Book 2) "I know you hate going to heat but we love it so suck it up buttercup and watch my dumb horror movie" (Book 3)

INTERNAL SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Talia finally gets taken out on a date and it's with Devon of all people. Why exactly did she even need to be bonded to the Johnson pack? Why couldn't those have been Jasper's Alphas and the Zephir pack be Talia's? You know these three guys who have longed for her for years and instead of focusing on building those bonds and relationships, making her feel grounded and centered..... Reed has to be bonded to Jasper because he's in yet another crisis and can't cope, Alex is literally running around trying to "court" him the week after Talia comes back to him. Corso doesn't want him sexually but still has to make a point of kissing Jasper's ass...... while they all sit around and talk about making Talia feel valued and important.

ANOTHER INTERNAL SCREAM!!!!!

I think everyone imagined, particularly women if they were in Talia's position and were treated how she was treated, and while that mistreatment was acknowledged it wasn't because they genuinely cared about me they felt bad because of their partner's feelings. Then men who do genuinely love me come around and they say they are furious about how I was treated by these men but..... they all seem really cool with each other and everyone seems really happy....... cricket, cricket, cricket.

The book would've been a lot better had Jasper/Johnson pack been killed off and we had less characters to develop with a revenge arc.

I feel like I’m just coming up for air or literally stepping back through this book series into the real world. I haven’t been consumed by a story like this is way too long. I quite literally couldn’t put this down. I saw the cover and immediately knew I had to read it and I’m so glad I did. It’s not your typical omegaverse romance and I loved that. This story starts with Talia, a beta who is on her last shot at finding a pack. She’s exhausted all other chances either because they didn’t work or she didn’t want them and she’s tired of being alone. She was raised her whole life as an omega until it turns out she’s not one. This is the last pack, and they have an omega. Her one goal is to take care of that omega, show true deference to them so she can stay. Their connection is instant, Jasper the omega denies it at first unsure of what it is, but eventually he feels it too. The pack doesn’t want her there, they don’t want anyone threatening their omega’s place or theirs. It’s a turbulent journey for them all as they navigate this new dynamic and this new beta in their home. Nothing happens like you expect it to, this story kept me guessing constantly and I loved all the characters in their own way. Each character had so much depth and their own enigmatic energy that kept me wanting to learn more about why they were the way they were. Devon the pack alpha, I really questioned whether I could finish this journey with him and I’m so glad I saw him on the other side it was so worth every tribulation. This is a darker omegaverse so make sure you read the trigger warnings. This story has action, suspense, twists and turns, betrayal, redemption, fated mates, romance, spice, found family and so much more. I can’t recommend this series enough, what a ride!

3.5 stars - a good addition to one of my favorite omegaverse series

The bar was kind of high for me going into this one because I was so head over heels for parts 1&2. It’s tough to live up to the pedestal I’d built in my head for this trilogy, but I did end up liking part 3! We dove more into the characters, and we got to see everyone settle into their big new pack. Devon gets some much-needed positive screen time. Corso continued to be my favorite sweetheart.

I really liked where the plot went with this one. It was interesting, but also played into allowing for more than enough page time to the romance (which is always my favorite). There was also clearly groundwork laid for more stories in this world, which I look forward to because I loved this trilogy so much.

I will say the ending was a little abrupt to me. It was definitely a hea, so no worries there, but I don’t feel like the narrative eased its way toward a close all that much. I also felt like the pacing was a little wonky. This kind of included the romance—whereas there was a lot of time devoted to it, a disproportionate amount of that time was sex, leaving me wishing there was more time on the page for other relationship progress. Not to say there was no progress, just that I’d have liked to see more of it front and center. Both of these things did not make me dislike the book but they did knock down my rating a little.

Overall, The Beta part 3 was a good final installment in a trilogy that is definitely a favorite. I have no doubt I’ll be re-reading because I love these characters and their story so much, & I’m excited to see what comes next from Avanne Michaels!

I really enjoyed reading this last book in the trilogy.. but I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I loved watching the pack get closer with each other. Growing tighter bonds with each other. I loved, absolutely loved watching Talia relax a little more into her role as an omega, but at the same time I kind of hated it. I'm not sure she will ever again be the strong kickass beta that I came to love. One of the things that is kind of irritating me is the fact that in the last story, Talia harped on all the alphas about protecting both her and Jasper so much. When they can protect themselves and they are just as strong and capable of protecting themselves as the alphas are. And yet here we are in this book... with the alphas doing just that... and Talia not even arguing with them. I don't know it just kind of set wrong with me. I kind of understand why... but at the same time it just didn't seem right.

Another thing that kind of confused me was the thing with Jasper. I'm not giving any spoilers away with this. You will have to read the book to find out what I mean here. I have so many questions about what is happening to him. As this series of books goes on... I hope we get more answers. I am so confused here. 😆😆😆 I need to know how this happened. Is it something that was always supposed to happen in this world, and was just lost over time due to the declining population of omegas?

So many questions still with this series of books. So looking forward to the next book in the series and hoping for answers to some of my questions.

The Beta

Omg where do I even start. It’s the kind of serious you wanna scream from the roof tops, spread joy everywhere and want to tell everybody everything. As that’s what this series is everything! And I could cry as I knew this was gonna come to an end, and I really did try to savour the last book.

The Beta, you don’t get many stories about a Beta, usually the Omega or the Alpha. And I’m most book the Beta doesn’t get much of a story or not part of a story. Anyway this was an absolute masterpiece and was very lucky to come across it, even if I’m late to the party. Worth it!

Avanne Michael’s brought one of the best and incredible series I have ever read. If you never read a omegaverse then this would be the perfect start to change you and your reading experience.

I could literally of been happy and content with our leading lady Talia and Jasper. Their bond was just out of this world.
A nice added bonus was the alphas and they all came together and worked.
The past Talia has been through and the start of this series was one that got to your heart but what a woman. She’s like a bad ass goddess. Definitely in my top 10 FMCs of all time. I’m gonna miss these characters, definitely gonna purchase the hardcover copies. I did have to purchase book 2 and 3 on kindle even though I have KU but worth the purchase. Highly recommend 10/10 all the gold stars.
