The true story of how one little cat became the leader of a pack of huskies -- as seen on hit social media site The Dodo!
Rosie the cat was small and weak -- until she befriended a giant husky! When Rosie was rescued by her foster moms as a kitten, they worried she wouldn't get better. But as soon as she started spending time with Lilo the husky, she began to feel great.
The two animals became best friends, and now Rosie does everything Lilo does. They go on walks together, take naps together, and even go on boat rides together! This inspiring true story teaches us that love is the only thing you need to make a family.
This story is perfect for middle-grade readers and comes with eight pages of full-color photos!
Just to clarify, I give Rosie and Lilo ALL the stars. They are the BEST duo ever and make my heart SO happy!!! ❤️ I gave the book 3 stars because it felt like it could have been shortened and it really dragged in parts with unneeded information and dialogue.
My 8 year old daughter and I read this together. We absolutely love Rosie and Lilo and love the work that the Bui sisters are doing!
Buddy read with my daughter. She got this from her local book fair and because we are encouraging reading, I was all for it when she asked me to read it after her. This is so cute. Rosie and Lilo's story is just heartwarming.❤️❤️❤️my heart is full. My daughter has since watched their videos on the dodo and YouTube and wants to be an animal rescue service/foster animals now.
I really liked this book! It was a fun read because I like animal stories. This book was about a dog and a cat bonding. For example, they went on a kayak trip and other trips.
It’s a cute and beautiful bond between a cat and husky. The husky saved the cat’s life and the 2 became best friends. The cat started to act like a dog!!! They would go on hikes together 🥰. But there’s a lot of unnecessary details. It was a good story and interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was a delightful experience because I love reading stories of unusual bonds between two different animals. This book portrays the bond between an audacious kitten and a caring dog acting as an alloparental figure wonderfully. The pair went on many adventures, such as kayaking and hikes. They created many cherished memories during their adventures. Some of the novel's major themes are family, bravery, friendship, and faith.
The more I read the story, I could see the Thibui sisters (animal caretakers) had become attached to Rosie. One thing I enjoyed was that they made the story so anyone could easily visualize the adventures and everyday life of Rosie. One thing I didn't like was that they didn't have as much detail as they could have had. I would recommend this book to reluctant readers, and animal lovers. Rosie's story was an easy and worthwhile read.
The author's writing style is engaging and easy to follow. It made the book intriguing to read. The vivid descriptions of natural settings and character emotions brought the story to life. The book also carries positive messages about empathy, understanding, and acceptance. The uplifting and satisfying ending is a sign of a good read. Overall, I highly recommend this heartwarming book to anyone looking for a touching and feel-good story.
I bought this book for my classroom library, and I did not love it. I feel like there was a lot of filler in it especially the parts where you could hear Rosie's thoughts. However, I think it would be a good book for reluctant readers who love animals. It also has a positive message about being friends with those who might not be like you.
I am a cat and dog lover and I enjoyed seeing this beautiful friendship but also an unexpected friendship , this book shows very good persuasive’s between these animals even though they don’t talk!!

My little sister begged me to read this because it’s her absolute favourite book, and I get it cause it’s cute but it could have been wayyy shorter that’s why it’s 3 stars
