Charleigh has just been dumped by her date. Trying to make her way home, she’s attacked by wolves and is rescued by the mysterious pumpkin man, Jack.

- Monster romance – hero is a pumpkin man with flames for eyes and vine hands. Moss green body with a ripped chest and abs and wears a trench coat.
- High steam – probably at least half the book is sex
My thoughts:
I should just file this under weird crap I’ve read and call it a day lol.
Jack doesn’t talk the entire book. He relays some of his past through touch and makes a couple hand motions/hip thrusts to show what he wants. And being so short our character depth is not that great (to be expected).
I didn’t hate it. In fact, I had quite a bit of fun talking about it to other readers. The sex was okay – I could have used some more emotional aspect for them. There was a lot of scenes, but they also felt pretty short and undeveloped.
Overall I think it’s a fun, absurd Halloween read. I had fun reading it but it’s nothing I would want to reread.

Just when I thought I've read it all, I encounter jack-o'-lantern monster smut and realize there is so much more out there to explore.
The monster/humanoid hero in this is a jack-o'-lantern head with hellfire eyes, green skin, and a ripped body. He only wears a black trench coat, is naked underneath, and is sporting the girthiest [gourdiest? lol] erection you ever did see. And he shoots vines out his body that can restrain someone or slither into spaces and mold to whatever shape he wants (can you see where this is going?). Did I mention his precum is sweet as candy and his cock tastes like pumpkin?
The story starts off strong; it's unique to me and I was 100% on board and intrigued. But the more I read on, the less I liked it. The writing took me out of it, I didn't love the characterization of the heroine or how her attachment to Jack went from 0 to 100 instantaneously. Then that ending had my head rolling. I'm speechless.
This was a fun foray into the wild and imaginative. Would recommend for those curious and interested in reading a quick halloween PWP story.

Okay not to the review..... I chose a 3⭐ review because I'm TORN.
-Was it entertaining? Yes, definitely
-Did it follow the book description? Yes.. but I was definitely surprised by some things here 🎃
-Did I finish this book and think "wow what a sexy romantic book"? No, I for sure didn't 😆😆
I thought this felt more like a comedy/satirical romance and from that standpoint it was a good read.
I know it's a novella so there's only so much you can pack into that short of a book but there was some things that just didn't add up for me to take this seriously.
It started out intriguing and got more and more wild as it went on. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for a silly, slutty, Halloween themed novella with barely there plot, but not for someone looking for anything traditional romance- even if it's of the monster variety.
TWs: Dubious consent, Murder (non-graphic), Degradation (kinda?), Monster fucking- but I'm guessing you know that already, the use of "fertile fields" and "slit" to refer to the FMC's.... bits 💀

Everyday is Halloween
Well it should be when a monster like Jack is your man. This girl needs a serious lift to Halloween Town so she can stand by her man all the time. I enjoyed the unexpected, the sinister, and the harshness of this couple’s romance. I only wished the end could have been togetherness. But I guess that’s too much to ask of a monster with no control over his destiny. The story may have been short, but it was well written and I enjoyed every minute. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

My first dive into monster romance and what a ride! The author's writing is fresh, instantly engaging, and both sweet and spicy. Yes, that's possible, because there were tender, sweet moments along with the spiciest s*x between a woman and her other-worldly lover. And let's not leave out a bit of a shocking revenge scene. I'll say no more and let readers discover this highly entertaining FICTIONAL story. Because in the end, that's what this is: fiction. It may not be for everyone, but I am here for it!

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up this short monster romance book. A young curvy girl walks through the woods and gets saved from wolves by a hunky jack-o-lantern headed man who wants to ravish her. Ending in pumpkin babies and a Pirates of the Caribbean type once a year love.
Some crazy aspects of this book: trench coat wearing, pumpkin headed, huge manhood creature with pleasure vines that come out of his coat and cum that taste like candy. A heroine who falls for this creature in less than 15 pages and gives up everything for once a year monster sex.
With the story being so short I felt like the plot was rushed and there was no character depth or development. However it was the craziest, weirdest Halloween read that fit hit the spot!

What in the actual monster c@ck did I just read? I knew going in that this was going to be a bit far-fetched and I thought I had prepared myself. What I didn't prepare myself for was what happened to Cooper and the pumpkin patch. What? What! What happened to Cooper was wild, but I can get behind it. The pumpkin patch completely through me. I didn't even understand how it was even remotely possible. I read paranormal a LOT and you can normally convince me of most things if it's written well enough, and this was just not it.
Overall, it was a good time, but you lost me as soon as we started talking about procreating.

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. So naturally, I was looking for a spicy Halloween read, and let me tell you….I found it! I have no clue how Faedra did it, but she made a Jack O’ Lantern sexy AF!

This one should be moved to the top of your reading pile this spooky season. Everything you could possibly want is in this fast read. From the curvy girl that has never fit in with her family, to her cheating asshole ex-boyfriend, to her sarcastic, dark outlook on life overall. Then a monster swoops in to save her and the sexual tension goes from 0-100. And the originality and graphic details of those sexy times is enough to kill your Southern Baptist-raised mother where she stands.
Some of the reviews complained this story was too short; that it went from 0-100 "too quickly." That's a huge selling point, in my opinion. A fantastic quick read that you can tackle during your busy day that gives you everything you've wanted in a story AND MORE?
Do yourself a favor. Stop what you're doing and go buy this book. Right now.

I loved this book. It was a fun, steamy, unique quick read. Great world building and wonderful characters. Charleigh's loser ex-boyfriend steals her candy and abandons her miles away from home on Halloween night after she gave him another chance after cheating on her. Walking through the woods to get home, she's attacked by a pack of wolves, but saved by a monster with a Jack-O-Lantern face who heals her injuries, but wants something in return. For such a short read, this story felt very complete with well developed characters. Jack's story/history was interesting, and he managed to touch something in Charleigh that really connected them. I really enjoyed this. 5 stars.

Well, this was one strange, spooky, erotic ride filled with tentacle vines, a large green schlong, a rather brief but interesting back story, and a gothic girl who just wants to be weird. It’s…unorthodox…even in the monster erotica world because of the ending, but I wanted a Halloween-ish quickie and I sure af got it.
This story is SUPER short. It has humor, gore, and a small romance, but even though it’s a PNR, the ending is just…strange…and I’m confused with how all that worked out. 🤷🏻♀️
The writing was phenomenal, y’all. Enough so that I’m eager to check out more from this author. It flowed easily, had great balance between plot and smexy times, and the humorous twist was superb
Overall, it hit the spot for a Halloween erotic tale. I found the FMC to be quirky and the MMC was pretty dang nifty. I mean, a big, muscular, pumpkin-headed creature? Okay. 🤌🏻

I like the strong, silent, viney, pumpkin type 🎃 Jack the trickster 🔥... Protective, dominant and apparently delicious 🤤 This was such a fun and quick Halloween read. Faedra did such a good job and I am absolutely jealous of Charleigh. I loved this novella and it solidified that I am a slut for pumpkin smut. The writing was fantastic and is a very unique and sexy story. So much setting and character detail that really made me feel immersed in this all hallows eve story. Definitely don't sleep on this one

Super hot quick read. The best way to enjoy Halloween...with a sinister character and a damsel in distress who isn't afraid to use her mouth, her hands and all of hers...to connect with her knight in shining armor...I loved that he was remained true to his own essence.

Have I just devoured another book from Faedra? Of course I have. Did I love it? Of course I did. Everything I've read from her has been fantastic.
This is another monster romance, which Fae does so damn well. This time, we have Jack, who is a Jack-O-Lantern with a human body. It's spicy, set on Halloween (as always with this series) and it's just a great quick read.

Charleighs Hallows Eve didnt have a great start after being dumped by her ex, shes alone walking the woods, but shes not alone, when a pack of wolves decend its a creature unlike any other that comes to her rescue, Jack. And well she can't not thank her savior, and give him something he never dreamed possible of having, a family. Well written steamy short spooky, monster, OTT romance.

Oh, I know the monster lovers are going to enjoy this one! I'm new to the monster lovin' realm but the minute I saw this book and read the description, I knew I had to read it. Charleigh is an absolutely unhinged MC and I love her for it! There's some suspension of disbelief needed to fully enjoy this but that's the fun of stories like these.

This was a WILD ride through the pumpkin patch. It felt like Rob Zombie writing an episode of Red Shoe Diaries, and I mean that in the best way possible! I am so freaking glad my girlfriend suggested it, And allowed me to live text her as I was reading it. It was weirdly sexy, and I actually want a fleshed out (pun intended!) backstory for Jack. And also a sequel for the little pumpkin munchkins 😂 👏🏻👏🏻 for real, I can't recommend this fun read monster porn more!

Woah - that may be the weirdest smut I’ve read to date. I probably should have refreshed my memory on what this was about before diving right in, but dive in I did!
This is a very quick and dirty read about a goth girl who, when walking home after being humiliated by a fling, meets up with a real life jack-o-lantern with all the parts you’d need for smutty goodness. Was it dark? Yes. Was it dirty? YES. Did it somehow manage to have a romantic happy ending? Also, somehow, yes! This is my first novella by Faedra Rose, and I was not disappointed. She handles sweet and spicy in such a way that leaves readers hooked.
I felt like it cut off a bit at the end, and skips time during the night.
Overall, if youre looking for a short fantasy erotica novella, this is right up your alley.

This is my first novella by Faedra Rose, and I was not disappointed. She handles sweet and spicy in such a way that leaves readers hooked.
I felt like it cut off a bit at the end, and skips time during the night.
Overall, if youre looking for a short fantasy erotica novella, this is right up your alley.

Let's keep this simple....it's monster smut! Don't expect this to be realistic because it isn't. This is a smutty, OTT quick read with heat. It may not be for everyone but I loved it!!!

This is a monster romance with Jack O Lantern/ Jack and Charleigh well it’s not so much as a romance as it is smutty, saucy, really weird and murder it’s just in time for Halloween. This is an entertaining story I enjoyed it and I recommend this book.

It's a 10/10. Please, don't be a daredevil if you have a weak, dense heart. This is the start of a series that will blow your mind, a well-written novella, with just the right trope I'm in. It's dark, spicy, and incredibly satisfying. Oooh I'm so hooked with FMC, so wild and crazy, perfect match for our MMC 🤤🤤 and a perfect read for a 🎃 night 😏
