An interesting read, but not as interesting or useful as the Digha Nikaya, the Long Discourses. I enjoyed that it gave a look into what the lives of the monks must have been like.
In particular, I read Volumes II and III of this series, which contain Ms. Horner's translations of the Vinaya rules for less significant offences, as well as the entire Bhiksuni Vibhanga (i.e., the rules for nuns).
