This book is about a city girl named Melissa who moves to Sussex because of a job offer that her mother received. Melissa was furious when she found out but there was nothing she can do about it. Once she moved to her new home, she had to adjust to her new home and make new friends at her new school.

i enjoyed reading this book because i can connect to Melissa in many ways. When i first moved to Manhattan in 2nd grade, i hated it here because i miss my old school and friends. i had to adjust to my new home, school and environment. Eventually i made new friends and i ended up loving the city.

I began reading this book thinking it was going to be some kind of contemporary and mainstream junk that they put out nowadays just for the sake of a selling book, boy was I wrong. This book cover particularly to me, looked misleading because it doesn't really reveal much about the book itself, same with the title. This is a very realistic and captivating story of a young family that has recently moved from a city that Melissa loved and was used to, where she was well-regarded at school; to a small town where she had to start everything about her life all over again. Join her on this journey to find out how she copes with making new friends, keeping the family bond strong and getting to enjoy her new home. The author included many universal laws, principles and valuable lessons that we can all draw meaning from if we only delve deeper and pay closer attention to the more important things in life.

Another book that's just...meh. There were parts where I laughed, but nothing really strikes me about this book. It wasn't boring, however. Just unremarkable.

3/5 on here, 6/10 for myself
