Arik Dacre survived the betrayal on the border of the Jade and Crimson Realm.
Now, he has one mission left...
A coronation in the Crimson Realm gives Arik the best chance he’s had yet to find and rescue his sister. But before he goes there, he’ll need to head to the birthplace of the original War Priest to find the Demon Charm of Katano.
No matter his control over chi, the charm may prove too much for Arik to handle. This leaves Arik with the ultimate dilemma: push his power to the limit and unravel the conspiracy that has led to a continental betrayal, or start a new journey, one that could change the very nature of his world from the ground up.
There's no turning back now. Arik’s epic journey comes to a close in the final installment of the War Priest series.

I am heartbroken that this series has ended. I sincerely wish that, in the future, the author will pick up and carry on a wee bit more with Arik's tale.
But for now, I'll say goodbye to everything that I loved between these pages. The world building is absolutely incredible (as are all Harmon Cooper books), the use of real information (showing the author does copious amounts of homework), Arik's enlightenment with his awareness and use of chi, Tayaura and Arik's deep loss, the physical action and combat techniques, the pacing matching emotions, the scope and relationships between the characters, the wonderful storyline, the quality of the writing... I could go on forever.
How much I adored this ending? So, so much. It left the characters with hope, love, and an incredible future. Loved it!
With War Priest 4, Harmon Cooper concludes his series on the War Priest. In this progressive fantasy Arik is first trained as a priest in healing magic, where he became an expert. In a vicious betrayal, he is forced to learn fighting to stay alive. He progresses in his fighting prowess through the series, learning fighting magic along the way.
Arik then encounters a 'Hidden Warrior', an old man who is a deadlier fighter than any other. This man Haro is a teacher of hiding magic. Haro teaches him this magic.
Finally, there are non-human magical beings who have their own magic, that Arik gradually learns.
What and ending to this series and I'm hoping that Cooper goes the Cowboy Necromancer route ,and releases shorts after this as there is still so much that I still want to see after such a great ending. Well recommended series and particularly this book with such great characters.
What a journey we all went on with Arick?! I'm happy to see how everyone in the traveling group is together! Arick's growth was wonderful to see as he came into his own!
As the novel ends it ties up the lose ends and allows the story to come to a fitting conclusion. The starting of a school at the end just seemed appropriate.
I have really loved this series! Great characters and character development. I hate to see it come to an end. I love Harmon Cooper's other books as well.
