Aidan

Following the death of our father, my brothers and I find ourselves on uneven ground.
We are reduced to nothing more than puppets controlled by our uncle Frank, the new leader of the South Irish Mafia.
In order to reinstate our foothold in the Irish Mafia, I agree to an arranged marriage.
I will stop at nothing to retain the title that belongs to us.
But the moment I lay eyes on Raven Collins, I know that she is dangerous.
So dangerous that I keep my distance.
That is, until she seeks me out, demanding my attention.
The closer she gets to me, the higher the body count grows.
Until all her secrets are exposed, and I vow to protect her no matter the cost.
Even if we are left standing in the ashes of the Irish Mafia.

Raven

This isn't my first marriage-- the first was to the Bratva, and I barely survived.
Now, my father has handed me to the Irish Mafia.
Aidan Murphy is a lethal man, one who owns me.
And the one who will kill me once he learns why I've been sent to him.
I need to stay focused and get what I came here for.
Before Aidan discovers the truth behind my lies.
Once I do, I win our freedom.
In order to do what my father demands, I have to get close to Aidan.
But the closer I get to him, the more I realize that betraying Aidan will cost me my heart.

Freedom comes with a heavy price tag. One I’m not sure we can afford…

This was a heavy book considering the FMC Raven goes through absolute HELL for most of this book and prior to the events that started this story.

She has been used as a pawn by her father throughout the years so he can clean up his messes with his financial issues. He sold his 17-year-old daughter out to an older man and he spent the entire marriage abusing her and raping her. Her father just sent her back whenever she would come to him for help and eventually when the 6 months of the arrangement was up, he set her free only to sell her off again to the uncle of our MMC Aidan.

Thankfully this time we the reader know despite his reservations he would not be hurting her. She is, however, tasked by her father to spy and report back with information, or he would hurt her little sister (15) and he threatens to sell her off too and it's just absolutely disgusting how he is still breathing.

Aidan is going through another hell himself, just a month or so ago his father killed himself and was found by one of his brothers.

Once Raven enters his home, she should be safe right? No. Aidan's psychotic cousin blackmails her into thinking that if Aidan ever found out she was not a virgin and was previously married he would kill her and so he forces her to give him a bj but she bites him mid-way through.

Aidan and she get closer together and she comes off to strongly and he of course suspects her every move but eventually realizes she is in an impossible situation and attempts to help her, he does not seem to care about her past marriage or the fact she is not a virgin so that whole threat from his cousin was a ploy for his sadistic pleasure.

I love when MMC's go on a rampage to hurt the guy who hurt his girl and that is what happens, Aidan kills of her ex-husband who was a massive asset to the Russians but who gives a shit haha

Sadly, though her abused mother is murdered by her father out of if revenge from her disobedience and I was a bit taken back how she wasn't sadder about her mother’s death? I know it's complicated, but her mother was a victim too.

Aidan also kills her father and ends her torment from him and his threats towards her younger sister. There are other things going on in the back, like how one of his brothers is just always aware of things before Aidan and accepts them too easily. It’s odd but he gets a book so he is most likely not a villain but playing the long con with their Uncle.

Anyways more shit happens, and they finally confess their love but at the end of the book they are not marriage which was a bit weird to me since this was an arranged marriage book but I am guessing it will be done in the two other books within this series.

What a mesmerising book it sucked you in from the start, the author Vi Carter has brought us a fantastic story that you don't want to put down with the characters coming to life. This story I felt like I was there and going through the scenes until the very end. This story was about Raven and Aidan, Aidan has two brothers, they are Irish and the last name is Murphy as they are a tight nit family they refer themselves as the Trojan Horse. Aidan was told by his uncle Frank took over his brothers position as the head of the family, he told Aidan that he is getting married Aidan is not happy and told his uncle no, not happening and that was that. Raven is abused by her father he threatens her all the time by saying that he would sent her sister if she doesn’t go. Raven was forced to marry someone from the Bratva it was only for six months and was badly miss treated. Aidan has locked up Raven he doesn't want her around so she has been put in the guest room and the door locked. As time goes by they start getting closer but she was put in that position for a reason so will that cause Aidan and Raven to go their own way. This story had so many triggers throughout the book also a lot of action killings, murder, abuse, trauma, secrets, pain, sorrow, anger, frustration, manipulation, pleasure, happiness, passion, romance, love and many more. I do recommend this book if you don't mind triggers it does have a surprise at the end that you want see coming. I loved this book.

My first read from the author and I love it.

Fast pace and intense, this new Mafia series feels different for me.
For one, the H doesn't have absolute power but dangit if Aidan didn't do everything in his power and more to protect what his. His brothers. His woman.
Aidan is the man who would die and then back from hell to protect what's his.
Meanwhile Raven, this girl have her strength to still standing after what her b**rd father done to her. Basically sold her to the bratva at 17 only to be ra*ed and abuse.

I love the fast pace but for the H/h chemistry, I feel it can be deeper and stronger than that. And for the smegsi scene? Just so so. Steamy but not as boiling or dirty as I like.

Got bit conflicted at the ending. I feel her father got off too easy. He didn't even got slap on the wrist. And uncle Frank? Same as old dad.
But...
This book may have the ending for Raven and Aidan, but for the brothers, they have long road to go to claim their kingdom. And for the first time I've read Mafia romance, I'm more excited for the guys action than the romance.

Aiden & Raven omg I love these two so much but let me tell you there is soooooo much more going on in this story behind the scenes I STG everyone is in the mix and has secrets or knows something they ain’t telling these two and these brothers have a freaking up hill battle to say the least. Now the chemistry between Raven and Aiden is undeniable and when these two finally come together it is freaking explosive. The family dynamic between these brothers is something else and I am dying to know more about each of them. I don’t even have words for what Raven has been put through by her father and everything she has endured but this woman is a straight up fighter she gets knocked down and she comes back swinging twice as hard but the difference now is she has Aiden standing by her side and that man will do anything to protect her!!! What an amazing start to a new series and o can’t wait for the next book!

'The closer she gets to me, the higher the body count grows. Until all her secrets are exposed, and I vow to protect her no matter the cost. Even if we are left standing in the ashes of the Irish Mafia.'

Vi's new series, Murphy's Mafia Made Men, begins with Sinners Vow. This is a Mafia Romance with enemies to lovers trope.

As part of a deal with the South Irish Mafia, Raven is forced to marry Aiden Murphy. She's sent to Aiden with secrets, and she tries her hardest to keep them to herself. Aiden wants to keep Raven at arm's length, but as time moves on, he finds out secrets, enemies, and Raven's history.

I love Vi's Mafia books and was so excited to find out she started a new series. The Murphy Boys are all that and more. The tension between the couple is slow-burning and hot. The plot as a whole was action-packed and gritty, and the gory scenes were great. I'm excited to hear more about Jason, Aiden's brother.

If you like Mafia Romance with enemies to lovers and a grumpy alpha male, this is for you.

Sinner's Vow started out with me wanting to completely annihilate Raven's father. He's forced horrors on her and as if once isn't enough he's doing it again. All for personal gains of course. This book is the dark, gritty, arranged/forced marriage story of Raven Collins and Aiden Murphy of the Irish Mafia. There's lots of surprises, twists, turns, betrayals and action. Definitely never a dull moment. This book grabs you, pulls you in and doesn't let go. An excellent beginning to Murphy's Mafia Made Men

Nice start!
Raven and Aiden's story seemed to be more of a series set up than a story. It went too smoothly for a Mafia read. Not a lot of action, not real dark, and rather tame violence wise. And the other Brothers seemed to want to keep him safe from everything.
That being said, I loved it and can't wait for the rest!.

Aiden and his brothers are under the thumb of their uncle Frank who now runs the South Irish Mafia. To appease his uncle he agrees to an arraigned marriage to Raven. This isnt Ravens first rhodeo of marriage, to keep her sister safe and gain their freedom she has to get close to Aiden, but she's hiding a few secrets, ones Aiden can't ignore as trouble comes their way. What starts out as just an arrangement soon starts toctwìst into something real, but can Aiden and Raven make it through intact? Well written a great start to a new series, with some familiar faces too! The depth of detail, drama, desires, and more have you hooked and begging for more!

First, the cover is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!
Sinner's Vow is Vi Carter's first instalment in her new Mafia Series, Murphy's Mafia Made Men and an interesting step on Ireland's South territory.

This is an arranged marriage troupe with a a tiny feel of enemies-to-lovers, a complex plot that reveals itself bit by bit and in true Carter's way, lets as much to uncover in the next books in the Series. Intrigue, secret agendas, corrupt alliances, thrones of power and legacy, chaos and mayhem make for a convoluted net of conflicts, schematics and a great dose of mystery so good and appealing fo us, this side of the pages that feel the way they feel, the same risks, the same adrenaline!

Feauturing Aidan Murphy, not the first born, and Raven Collins, a pawn in her father's twisted endeavours, an improbable couple as the reader will get to see, both forced in a dangerous betrothal and peculiar motivations, particularly on Raven's part.
Aidan's protectiveness was felt and cherished once he got to understand part of the whole picture, I just had wished for it to have occurred earlier in the narrative as well as their chemistry. For a Mafia man with the knowledge, smarts and used to read people, I was expecting Aidan to be more perceptive concerning Raven's demeanor and behavior, her doubts and fears and, specially, her uneasiness.
It's a sloooow burn with some very spicy and swoon moments but I was hoping for a powerful building, the ensnarement, the infatuation, the allure.........and I didn't quite sense it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty committed to the Series with just this first taste and really curious about the Murphy brothers, mostly Jason, their father's death circumstances, Frank and even the O'Reagans. On a final not it was very ingenious and on point to put a Negotiator in the mix and make him shine in this story as well, but my mind went to the Collector and the Handler and, for a moment, I thought it was one of them.

It seems Jason is next and I'm already trying to get the picture because, if Aidan and Raven's marriage was a heavy duty, I can't imagine what will be Jason's to a a probable Russian girl or one chosen by the Russians!

A great start!.

Sinner's Vow is the first book in the Murphy's Made Man series. A Irish Mafia Romance. It's a standalone full-length romance complete with a HEA no cheating and no cliffhanger. An enemies-to-lovers romance, hate-to-love vibes, age gap, arranged marriage romance involving a lot drama, danger, violence, chaos, hatred, betrayal, resentment, madness, angst, murder, bloodshed, lust, passion, mystery, anger, secrets, lies, deception, pawn, push and pull, twists and turns, power and control, manipulations, surprises, suspense, survival, revelations, action, physical, mentally, love, psychologically abuse, family issues, and lots of steam, alliances, guilt, greed, heartbreak, and distrust and so much more.
Aiden Murphy dad was the head of the Irish Mafia until he died and his uncle took over. Everything changed and now he and his brothers will now have to be Made Men, something that wasn't required when his dad was alive and running the clan. Aiden was task with marrying Raven Collins, in an arranged marriage that he didn't want in order to strengthen the clan. He had to whatever his uncle tells him to do regardless if he agrees with it or not. Raven is nothing but a pawn in her daddy's scheme for power and control. She was sold to a Bratva at a very young age where she was treaty harshly and abuse at seventeen years old. She barely survived the Bratva and now her dad is sending her into the fire again with the Irish Mafia Clan.
Her dad wants some information on the Irish and as arranged her marriage between Aiden for six months. He told her that she would be free of him if she gets the information. All she wants is to be able to protect her sister and get from under her dad's thumb. Things is dicey between her and her Aiden. He wanted it to only be strictly business but she got under his skin and once he found out the truth he was her protector and knight and shining armor. Raven is beautiful, fierce and loyal. Aiden is moody, loyal, stoic and cold-hearted. Sinner's Vow will keep you captivated and on the edge of your seat. It draws you in from the beginning and keep you invested until the end. It's easy to read and flows seamlessly.

If you need an intense, raw, powerful, & all-consuming Dark Mafia Romance this is the series for you. This book has lies, betrayal, mystery, lust, possession, & love.

The Murphy men have been through a lot of changes since their father’s death. He seemed to be the glue that bounded them to happier times in their life. Yes, they are Irish Mafia but their father never pushed the need to become Made Men. Once their Uncle took over their world imploded and the Murphy brothers loss a sense of stability and were forced into the darker parts of the Mafia.

Aidan has taking on a stronger role in the family and has been trying to protect his siblings. He’s seen less of his older brothers and has been wondering what has been going on behind closed doors. When he is told he will marry Raven Collins to strengthen The Clan he knows he has to agree but this will be a business arrangement only. He will avoid her at all cost and do what is needed by his Uncle. He had no idea the power this beautiful woman was going to invoke in him!

Raven knows how this world works. She has already been married off once to Victor in the Bratva but thankfully after 6 months she was able to return home. Not that her home was much better than the brutality of the Bratva but at least she was near her sister and could try to protect her. Her father is an overbearing and abusive man who sees her as nothing more than a pawn on his quest for power & control. Raven will do anything to protect her sister from this cruel world but being forced into another arrangement makes her uncomfortable & fearful. She barely survived Victor she has no idea what to expect with Aidan!

There are lots of twists and unexpected reveals in Book 1 which is going to set up the next books in this series nicely. Hints of what’s to come are provided and it is definitely going to be an intense and interesting series to see how it all unfolds. Book 2 follows Jason and his arranged marriage from the Bratva. I know it will be just as edgy and intense as Book 1. Happy Reading!!

Raven is placed in an arranged marriage to Aidan after being corrected by her father to gain her younger sister’s freedom. However, Raven has been scarred by a previous arranged marriage, so steps into this with tentatively but with the drive to protect her sister. Aiden himself does not want to get married but is following along to help secure his family’s business. His father had recently passed, which turned everything to his uncle, whom he isn’t a huge fan of. Raven and Aiden have a rocky start but as the story progresses and truths are revealed, they have an understanding of each other.

I felt for Raven, having been pushed around and abused. She also has a vulnerability that makes you want to hug her tight. Her undying protectiveness of her sister is admirable and you want to root for her to find her HEA. Aiden is broody and you also hope he can kick some ass against those who have hurt Raven. While he seems cold initially, the way he stands his ground and looks out for his brothers and Raven shows he has a good heart. The will they won’t they push and pull between Raven and Aiden kept me on my toes, and definitely the lack of communication between them had me gripping the pages. But it was understandable given Raven’s past.

Along with that we have less than tasteful villianous characters whom who want them to get their just desserts and enough suspense and action to push the story forward. I would say this story has a HFN ending, as it seems there are some loose ends to tie up.

Someone to love me by MeemsAngel82

I was so shocked reading this. Please heed the warning. There are several triggers that are very dark and it is over the entire course of the story. This author knows how to write, though when I was reading at first I had so many doubts and anger, frustration...but clearly she knows what she's doing considering she DID bring those emotions out and had me at first hating, then loving this H.

She was always the pawn, a piece to be used for men to knock around. But with this man, she never dreamed it could change.

The writing is solid. The characters are fleshed out and there is never a dull moment. It angered me at first, I had been hoping someone wiped out all men in her life. She didn't make our H do anything, though he believed so. But I finally realized she was truly changing his black heart into gold for her. While I do not forgive his first kill for any reason, he proved he truly deserved her. My heart broke for her. I was so angry thinking who would find this story romantic in any way. But then we see the true cleverness of this author as she weaved a complex tale that brought out several emotions and created a very powerful love story. This is not light reading and not something I am into. Mind you I've read a lot of books, a rather unhealthy amount, and I have read some traumatic things. I have my hard stops and this included some. That being said, those into this story type- this is a powerful story of a couple coming through to the other side and of the power of love in all forms. She really did a wonder with this story.

Wow this story was so good it just took me by surprise. It was eloquently written, captivating and checked all the boxes for making it a unputdownable read. It was a mafia romance with suspense, twists and turns , action and steamy moments. Raven is being forced to marry Aiden by her father so she can find information for her father. Her father is using her younger sister to blackmail her. Raven has been married before and had been through a lot in her first marriage. She is scared what would happen if Aiden finds out about her deceit but to save her sister she is willing to risk everything. Aiden is from Irish mafia and has reputation of being ruthless. He doesn’t want to marry but gives in to strengthen the relationship between the mafia families. Aiden realizes Raven doesn’t want to marry and is hiding something. Once they are together they start knowing each other and secret are unveiled and Aiden is there to protect Raven. The story was captivating and beautifully written. I was hooked from the first page until the very last. I literally binge read this book in one sitting it was so good. This is the first time I am reading this author and I throughly enjoyed her writing style, can’t wait to read more books by her. Definitely a must read

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "SINNER'S VOW"
LOVE this new series by Vi Carter she knows how to pull her readers right into all the intense drama with suspense, secrets, angst, steam, grief, intrigue, danger, murder, loss, betrayal, your hooked to the end.
Aiden Murphy & his brothers are dealing with the aftermath of his fathers death their Uncle Frank Murphy now the new leader of South Irish Mafia to regain a strength in Irish Mafia Aiden has to be in an arranged marriage to Raven Collins.
Raven Collins was once married to the Bratva barely escaping with her life now her father gave her to Aiden Murphy he wants her to get close to him, Aiden knows she dangerous 6mos. then she's won her freedom for herself & sisters.
Raven & Aiden gave so much their dealing with along with his brothers there's so many secrets going behind their backs its a rough road ahead but I love the chemistry between these two such an interesting twisted story.
I definitely recommend to get this phenominal mind-blowing intense drama you can't put down so well written with terrific characters so well worth the read you so won't be disappointed.

Since devouring all of The Boyne Club, I can't wait for any of Ms. Carter's work! Sinner's Vow did not let me down. 4.25-4.50 stars - only due to a few unresolved issues - likely an intent of the series. I'm looking forward to finding out.

From the fleeing scene at the start, you get caught up in it and the pace keeps up through the entire book. Aidan's protecting and caring for Raven is the underlying theme throughout. Even if he thinks he is protecting her from himself. Raven not being a victim and also, her little bit of happy girl time, swimming, made my heart feel lighter.

I felt really connected to Raven & Aidan. Adian's brothers, particularly Jason, were more enigmas. I'm hoping that means they each get their own story told? I truly hope so as I felt several unresolved issues that will likely run through the series. Not a cliffhanger, just much more to round out and complete the whole thing.

Do take heed of any triggers you may have as there are a number of them.

Definitely recommend to any fans of dark Mafia, (Irish being the best!) slow burn romantic suspense. It's all in here. Get started now!.

Raven is a survivor. She has survived abuse by her father and the first man he married her off to. Now she will survive whatever Aiden, her new husband-to-be dishes out too. At least that is how she sees her world. Aiden has no need for a wife, but when he meets Raven, he feels protective over her. Even knowing she would betray him doesn't stop his feelings developing. He finds himself willing to take on the world for her.

This is an intense and dark story. Granted, Mafia stories tend to be, but this one is sticking with me. Aiden is so dangerous, and Raven walks with her head down, just wanting to rescue her sister. She does not have many choices in her world. Together she and Aiden manage to find something special. It is a love story with no real happy ending. They will hopefully marry in one of the subsequent books in the series. This is my first Vi Carter book, but I am looking forward to more. This is an enthusiastic recommendation for any Mafia romance lovers who like to read on the dark side.

Vi Carter is one of my go to dark mafia authors but throw in the arranged marriage trope and you’ve got me hook, line, and sinker. Aiden has just lost his father when his uncle takes over the Irish Mafia and forces the Murphy brothers into taking on roles in the mafia. Aiden sees less and less of his brothers, leaving him in the dark with certain aspects of what’s going on. When Aiden learns that he is to marry Raven, he decides that their marriage will treat it as a business transaction. This is not Raven’s first rodeo. At just 19 she has survived being married into the Bratva and the trauma that came with her previous marriage. To protect her sister from suffering the same fate and to gain their freedom, she agrees to marrying Aiden and get the information her father desires. Aiden and Raven have a SLOW burn and there is a lack of communication makes me want to go in there and shake some sense into them but I absolutely loved reading how they opened up to each other and fall in love. Vi Carter’s writing is exceptional with her captivating characters, storyline, and the action in her books.

I didn’t love this book, or like it as much as I thought I would. First, it’s suppose to be an arranged marriage, but Aidan & Raven never got married. And the ending wasn’t what I expected. It was left w/Aidan leaving to attend a meeting because of his actions & Raven scared whether he’d return to her. I thought it’d show him returning after the meeting & having somewhat of a happy reunion between them. I never felt much of a connection or chemistry between them either. The storyline was alright, but I felt that even though a lot was happening throughout the book, something still felt like it was missing. I was expecting to see the confrontation between Raven & her dad in the end when she went for her sister, but it never happened. I’m also left w/many questions about Matty, Aidan’s brother. It was hinted that something may be wrong w/him, he was mentioned on & off throughout the book, but again nothing was revealed. And I had major suspicions regarding Jason. He seemed awfully aware of things that Aidan didn’t. I don’t think he’s betraying his family seeing he has a book, so I’m curious about what he’s up to.

This is the first book in a new Vi Carter Mafia Series, with Raven Collins originally in an arranged marriage set up by her father at 17 to a monster from the Bratva...she gained him a lot of money through information she was able to glean, and now at 19, the money is gone and her father wanted Raven to marry again, this time to Aiden Murphy of the Irish Mafia...again to get information and to keep her younger sister from the same fate...Aiden and his brothers were kept from the grittier side of Mafia life until their father lost a lot of money and committed suicide...leaving all their holdings to their Uncle Frank who wanted them as soldiers in the Irish Mafia...Aiden didn't want an arranged marriage and tried to decline, but Uncle Frank insisted...keeping Raven at arm's length, ignoring her until he couldn't anymore...you will need to read this enemies to lover's story to see what happens, but a word of warning, not a story for the faint of heart as violence, abuse, double-crosses take place...I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

Wow, this was a very dark and intense read with plenty of twists and turns, violence, murder, betrayal, kidnapping, arranged marriage, threats, abuse and chemistry between out H and h. The Murphy brothers father was the head of the Irish mafia, but took his own way out. His death was ruled a suicide when his son, William found him hanging. As they deal with their fathers death, their uncle Frank assumes the throne. Aiden is informed he is to marry Raven, from another mafia family. He has no desire to marry and is determined to keep his distance. Raven’s father is cruel, abusive and had sold her into marriage to a cruel Bratva leader the year before. She had to steal from the bratva in order to gain her freedom for her sister and herself from their father’s vicious control. A well written storyline with characters that draw you in and keep the reader intrigued and captivated. There’s more to this story and three more brothers toget their stories too. Great start to this new series.

This is the first and a wonderful start to the Murphy's Mafia Made Men series and as is obvious from the title, we get a new glimpse into the Irish Mafia. In this book, we meet Raven Collins whose only value to her father and the members of the Bratva is whatever information she can extract from whichever new target is picked. In this story, that target is Aiden Murphy who learns that while he is not the eldest son, he learns that Raven is to become his bride. The story of these two had me hooked from the very start as I discovered a new secret uncovered with almost every page turn. The instant attraction of these two quickly turned an arranged marriage into something neither of them anticipated. Can Raven trust Aiden with the secrets of her past? Will Aiden be able to look past some of those secrets as they come to pass to get them to the HEA they both deserve? This is one story you don't want to miss and discovering all the intrigue and secrets will get you hooked just like I was.

Vi Carter doesn't disappoint with this first book in the Murphy's Mafia Made Men series. Aiden Murphy has been told by his uncle he is to marry and to who for the benefit of the "family". Raven Collins has known all her life that her only value to her father is as a pawn to benefit himself. He married her off to the Bratva as a teenager and she endured that abuse. But when she returned home her father is using her younger sister to control her. Neither Aiden or Raven want this marriage, but have no choice. Once they are together and they begin to know each other, secrets are revealed and Aiden is there to protect Raven. These characters are compelling and well written. This book is full of sizzle, steam, betrayal, action, drama, twists, turns, and so much more. This was a page-turner from start to finish. I can't wait to read more about the Murphys and with this being on Kindle Unlimited, I can read them for free.

Violence, treats and arranged marriages. Irish mafia story with a play on power.

An Irish mafia king hangs himself, sending his family in disarray. The kings brother is now in charge and nothing is as it use to be.

To try an regain control Aidan the previous kings son agrees to an arranged marriage. Little does he know that his future wife has plans of her own.

There are plot twists and turns and all the heads of family are more than any human should have to deal with, yet none are wise enough to predict what might happen.

Beyond the deceit and lies, there is adoration, and an unexpected attraction that turns to love. Who will be the victor in this power struggle and will everyone survive.

I really hope there’s a follow up book to take this story further. I’m hooked!

Happy Reading🌻.
