The action continues while the characters continue to be fleshed out. Excellent, clean, intriguing Science Fiction.

Again, this author delivers a suspenseful action-packed spy thriller worthy of Robert Ludlum or Tom Clancy, with all the deep angst and derring-do of "The Scarlet and the Black". It is so easy to forget that covert operatives are not all like Ethan Hunt in the first Mission Impossible movie; they are human, with all the flaws, troubles and family dramas of the team in "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and those will affect their work in the field. I really related to each of the characters this author created, whether I liked the character or not. I was pleased to see CAU 171 coming back together in more ways than one and like Hannibal Smith, I really love it when a plan, however flimsy, comes together! I am really looking forward to seeing CAU 171 in their next mission!

Nothing like the standard of previous books
I have read a lot of Daniel Gibbs books and really enjoyed most of them. This however is an incoherent mess and really feels like it was written by two authors who never spoke to each other. It has always been easy to accept the religious moralizing stuff as it is pretty even handed. It is the political background stuff that just fails miserably. It is childish and cartoonish in putting forward an ultra right wing theology that is just at odds with the rest of the story and it just doesn't work. Apparently all dissent can and will be met by force by the government even if the dissenters complaints are legitimate. Huge companies can treat human beings as commodities and ignore the rule of law provided they support the ruling class. Really disappointing.

Liberty's Price is book 4 in Deception Fleet by Daniel Gibbs. The League of Sol is trying to disrupt the financial markets in the Collation. Captain Jackson Adams is working in his family ranch when he must get his team together and stop what or who is destroying the economy. This fast paced story is action packed. I always enjoy a Daniel Gibbs book. His military knowledge shows in the crisp writing and fight scenes... everything is always so realistic. Hopefully Jackson and his team will find the traitors before it is too late. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

You can read the review of what the book is about on amazon, what you can't read, or possibly know (unless you have followed Mr. Gibbs from his first novel) is how far he has come from his humble beginings as a scifi writer. His writing and style has become stronger and stronger, so has his characters! He has branched out and expanded into new areas! NO i'm not going to tell you all! Buy the books! See for your self what a wonderful story teller Mr. Gibbs is! His alliance with Steve Rzasa has allowed new scopes and ideas to help both writers build upon each others strengths and strengthen either's weaknesses. Great job Mr. Gibbs and Rzasa!

Jackson, after healing, is sent on new undercover mission in Galt
Jackson is being sent under cover but this time he does not have his teams backing. It is his punishment for putting his own goals first on last trip. The one that got Brant severely injured and fractured the team.
This time they put him on Galt as one of the vigilantes set on collapsing the money planet. He does get some surprising back up after he gets there.

Excellent reading
Book four of this riveting series of books ,. I have never been an avid reader of Sci Fi but have been drawn to this particular series , story lines are good and the main characters are strong and improve the story . I have nothing but praise and will be reading the next in line ASAP. Join me
