It was okay and definitely safe. The story just didn't pull me, but that could be more of a me issue than the book itself. 🤷♀️

One of my fave authors dropped another sweet, swoony, scorcher!!! Anytime Lucy darling comes out with a book, I drop everything and dive right in! This was perfect! I absolutely love a stern, cold, reserved hero and Ivan was that in spades! Tightly controlled, a man of few words, some called him emotionless but all it took to melt the ice was a sweet, sunshiny woman named Rae. In no time, Ivan is stalking her, buying the place she works at, making sure she’s safe and keeping an eye on her. For her and her alone, Ivan melts and has all the feelz.
And bonus, DUAL VIRGINS!!!! Yassssssss!!! I loved how both discovered firsts together. This was such a sweet, happy-sigh read.
100% safe. Dual virgins, no others, no cheating or abuse of any kind. Baby making, HEA with epilogue YEARS later.

A Rae of sunshine.
A cute standard Lucy Darling read. I liked the little bit of a stalking element it had to it at first, even if it was short live. Even though it isn’t listed as a series I would highly recommend reading Only Forever first. You basically miss Rae and Ivan’s meeting without that book now I’ll have to go back and read it.

Es el libro más aburrido de Lucy que he leído en todo este tiempo. Sinceramente, espero que mejore con los que están por venir porque últimamente ha ido arrastrando libro tras libro. Necesita tomarse un tiempo y darse cuenta de que lo último que ha publicado ha sido aburrido, repetitivo y exasperante. Este libro, ya hablando del tema en cuestión, pudo haber terminado en el 50%, ya que lo demás es aburrido y hasta fastidioso. Tardé 3 días en terminarlo porque ya no quería saber más. Releí los primeros cuatro hace unos días y no recuerdo casi nada. Todo se mezcla en mi cabeza porque es más de lo mismo. Es necesario regresar a los inicios y darse cuenta de que agregar más a la historia no necesariamente significa que será contenido relevante.

So when JJ needs to get to her friend immediately, Ivan, not known for being particularly empathetic, offers to take her on his private plane. Once there, he proceeds to stalk Reagan, watching her at her job (guess he's eating diner food for the foreseeable future, since she's a waitress) and following her home. But Reagan's not stupid - she knows what he's up to. She thinks.
Commentary: Stalker alert! But is it really stalking if she knows he's there? I love how everyone was so confused that Ivan was being so nice! I loved how Reagan was the one who unwittingly gave him his nickname!
It is a little strange though that all these male virgins in their 30s are popping up in these insta-love novellas. Super hot, fit, billionaire virgins in their 30s. Sure.

Finally get Raegan and Ivan's story. We first met them in Julieta and Vincent's story.
When Ivan overheard Raegan's voice on the phone when she called her bestie Julieta because her twin brother was in trouble. He dropped everything to give Julieta a lift in his private plane back to her hometown and back to that voice that he wanted to claim as his own... I'd say mission accomplished Ivan.. Always a fun and sexy read, this author consistently proves that even though it’s a quick read, she never skimps on the details.
Fun and engaging characters that at times will have you laughing uncontrollably, and then sighing next as our lead make proves yet again he’s perfect.
Always a safe read. Likeable characters and for me that’s a must I want to invest in these people. The heat factor is explicitly hot 🔥 and the ending is always a guaranteed happily ever after!

A lot of depth for such a short story and the side characters were great too.

Only Sunshine was about Ivan Lawson and Raegan "Rae" Smith (twin sister to Travis Smith), a bartender and a waitress at a diner and bar, respectively. (There were no exact ages given for either character.)
FYI: You might want to read Only Forever before reading this story. This book follows the other one closely since the BFF to the FMC of this story was the FMC in Only Forever.
This story had an interesting twist in that it started with the two main characters already knowing each other. Ivan had heard Rae's voice over the phone in the book titled "Only Forever", and it did something to him that made him change everything he had been doing up to that point. In this book, he was already enamored with Rae and tended to stalk her. Well, he followed her everywhere. He would eat at the diner where she worked every day, and when she worked at the bar, he would be there too, watching over her.
There was a lot of angst and drama in this book, with just a touch of spiciness to keep the reader glued to the pages. The emotional rollercoaster was in full swing with all of its usual twists and turns.
Both of the main characters were fully developed and mature, with plenty of room for growth. The MMC was very territorial, jealous, and possessive, but he was a great character to read about. The FMC was a sweet, kind, warmhearted, and loving person who could get anyone to smile, even the grumpiest of grumps.
I gave this a full five-star rating because it had everything a reader wants in a story, including a touch of intrigue and a villain(ness) or two. It absolutely earned a place with the Keeper for the Shelves collection.

I have to say I do love the characters in this story. Ivan is a ruthless businessman who is better known as ‘Frosty Lawson.’ No one can understand the sudden departure from headquarters, to all of a sudden, being in an undisclosed location. Only those on a need-to-know bases know, where he is.
Now, this is where I feel I came late to the party. The book opens up with him, stalking, Rae in plain sight, at both her jobs. It is in plain sight at the restaurant, and at the bar, sort of, lol. Ivan is a billionaire and can have any woman he wants but he finds himself obsessed with, Rae a girl brought up, in the foster care system.
When her twin brother, Travis needs help, they don’t hesitate, to contact the girl they consider their sister, JJ. Also, a foster care survivor, with them. She left her high-powered job, to come and take care of working, things out for them. ‘Frosty’ flies her here. But, it doesn't make sense, till later on in the story. Travis now works for the company, he was embezzling from, and, JJ is married, to the CEO, Vincent.
I like the character, Marco he has a quirky sense of humor, and I like, James, too. The ending seems rushed, and confusing. The whole deal with their father seems to be thrown in as if a side note, to create conflict. And, what surrounds the deal with, Eva made no sense. There was no real content, to explain any of it. It was good as in the couple, bad as in the plot.

Ivan is a CEO and is filthy rich. He doesn't trust people, because they see his bank account and influence. He is a ruthless business man and goes toe to toe with powerful people in the business world without breaking a sweat, but then he hears his PA's best friend's voice over the phone and is immediately smitten. It is adorable how he just doesn't understand how his whole world tilted on it's axis over a voice! Now THAT is insta love and we love it!!
Ivan likes his peace and quiet but he discovers that he is hot and passionate for Rae and only Rae. These two are one of my favorite couples of the moment.
The rest is a wonderful swoon worthy read, we meet the MC's from Only Forever (a wonderful read and book one in this series).
I will be rereading this again often!

Insta-love with stalkerish vibes and lots of cute interactions.
Opposites attract and in this case it's a sunny girl with humble origins and a rich investor with an ice-cold heart. Said heart melts right away when he hears her voice for the first time. From that moment on, much to the poor man's bewilderment, he can't help himself and follows her everywhere. What's funny is that he is trying to understand his odd behaviour.
I was looking forward to this story because I met the couple in a previous novella and it made me feel ravenous for their romance. Ivan was so cold and calculating at first that his sudden need to warm towards this sweet little lady compelled me to know more. And it's worth it.
We get to see the characters from the other story in a very fluid way here. Reagan is so cute towards big, isolated Ivan. And they learn about love and lust together. It's perfect! Throw in some steam and danger to boost, and it's entertaining from start to finish.

I dont really know how to feel about this book. It wasn't bad but felt both super short and WAY too long at times. The story like went at a SPEED pace.
I like insta-love but this was a whole new level and felt super unrealistic.
The spice was VERY good. Well written and enjoyable.
But also I don't understand what the point was of the plot/storyline of embezzlement/evil assistant/past/lost father. It was over within 2 seconds with almost no explaination? Like... why was it even in the book? Just felt like this was a erotica but someone decided to ladt minute add in a pointless storyline.
This book should have just been a sexy insta love story. If you wanna add a plot/storyline to a sex book it needs to be good. This one wasn't.
Was a super quick read so if you want well written spice with a barely there, speedy, last minute added storyline... this is the book for you.

Calling for help may have interesting side effects.
I kind of loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable even though it seemed to have a more relaxed feel to it. The relationship between the main characters built a little each time they saw one another. The characters were interesting and likable. The twist with Raegan’s father surprised me, as did Ivan’s reaction. Ivan and Rae had a lot in common even though they were from different backgrounds which helped them understand each other quickly. Ivan’s nickname for Rae (Raegan) was great and she definitely brought him out of his shell (but only with her!). I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book

Rae of Sunshine
I love the story line of a cold hearted, over working, possessive man finding the one woman to change all of that. This story line should have been amazing and truly in parts it was.
The story line between Rae and Ivan was sweet and pulled you in, however the plot with Rae’s father and Ivan’s assistant was very rushed in the end and hard to follow. Everything just kept skipping a few days ahead.
It would have been better if the author could have taken just a little more time to explain the story line through more clearly and had things actually happen in real time instead of doing a recap of the last few days in each new chapter.
Still a good read though!

I thought that this was a really good book. Ivan and Rae were very intense but perfect for each other. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between these two. These two have a little bit of a bumpy road but these two get a really sweet and much deserved HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Lucy has in store for us next.

This is Ivan & Reagan’s story. Reagan is Julieta’s, JJ’s, best friend in Only Forever. And Ivan was her boss, who completely fell hard for Rae just by hearing her voice. And when he saw her, forget it. Done for. He shows her a side NO ONE ELSE gets to see. And she, as much as she might try, just can’t resist him. Lots of love, some excitement/suspense/what’s-going-on-vibe, and you’ve got a great book you can’t put down! I hope we get Travis’ book!

Ivan was my favourite kind of hero - grumpy, mostly silent except with the FMC and pretty much unaware of every woman other than his ladylove. Even better - he was smitten just hearing Raegan's voice for the first time. Adorable ... loved it. Raegan was super sweet, and she totally deserved a man who loved her to distraction. This story was sweet and sexy and I really enjoyed Ivan and Rae.
Can't wait for Lucy Darling's next.

YESSSS… I was so excited about this book after reading book one in the series. It was such an enjoyable read that kept me with a smile on my face the whole way through. This book has the sweet, swooney, billionaire grumpy and sunshine heroine insta love. Highly recommend this easy and short team if you’re just looking for something that will smiling.

I'm starting to think that this author hates women. I don't remember exactly what happened here, but my notes about it say that it was repetitive and it looked as if a man wrote this book, with how it described women. I know that in the last few books I've read by this author, it looked like she hated women, or at least, women who are not weak, crying, blushing virgins, and I'm not here for that. I'm done with this author.

Sunshine and Frosty
This was a great story with a fantastic HEA. Rae lives her life with a smile on her face. She's friendly, outgoing, and would do anything for her brother and her best friend. Ivan couldn't be more opposite. He's cold, emotionless, and barely says a word to anyone. The motions that bring them together are great and the pages steam!!

Rae & Ivan.
I felt like I was dropped right into the middle of a book with this one. It took my way too long to figure out what was happening. I think that might be my fault because there does seem to be a series going on here by goodreads doesn't have them listed as such. I also think my dislike for this one might have to do with me reading too many novellas lately - I'm getting bored of the instalust and no plot ):
I would've liked to see a bit more interactions between Rae & Ivan at the diner! It seemed like Ivan got all flustered and I think those would've been really cute conversations to hear that would've progressed their relationship a lot more. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the random danger plot - didn't make much sense to me.

I've waited for this and it didn't disappoint
AND it didn't disappoint!! What can I say ... Ivan is Frosty, but melts your heart one obsessive act at a time. He fell hard for Raegan, his Rae of Sunshine. She melted his heart and fell for him just as much. It was also great to have JJ and Vincent and see how they were doing. Such a great story!!!

This was a great read. I loved Ivan and Rae they complemented each other so well. It's seems like I have been waiting patiently for this book since they were introduced in Only Forever. It was just epic how some new and simple can change someone.
