This is a fabulous anthology full of amazing stories.
What a great prequel! It's just the perfect amount of intrigue and sexual tension- it definitely makes you want to read the next book in the series.
Rosie offers herself up to be married to Gavin, to save her brother. She's the daughter of a vampire king but she's unable to turn. Her blood allows other vampires to walk in the daylight. Gavin realizes how much use she'll be of to him and agrees to the marriage.
Gavin is... a deviant. He gets off on giving pain to others. He once killed his old submissive by not showing proper restraint. He's nervous about starting anything with Rosie so he visits a man who he has an "arrangement" with. Rosie watches the livestream and is incredibly turned on.
Rosie also overhears Gavin's parents talk about what they planned to do to her and her family- so she decides she has to die. Or rather, fake her death. Gavin finds out and is heartbroken. That's where this prequel ends and book 1 in the series starts! Four stars!

Since the moment I've read the Boneyard Kings trilogy by these two authors, I was salivating over the potenial of a story about Lorenzo Rivas, one of the 'bad guys' in here!!!
Lorenzo intrigued me very much as a character and I was craving his story and what a beautiful beginning was that!!!
I can not wait for the real deal!!!
Parker is an aspiring journalist and in order to get a position in the local newspaper, she has to find a great story and for that reason, she has set her eyes upon Lorenzo Rivas, the shady new mayor of the town of Blackstone!!!
Lorenzo is not who he is by accident... He is ruthless and powerful and when a beautiful girl is getting in his way, he can not leave her alone...
But what will really happen when he will discover who she really is???
Lorenzo and Parker's paths had crossed, not by accident, but they were drown to each other since the very first moment...
Can a hot night together change anything when deceit is lying between them???
Is there a chance for these two when they are both determined to succeed on their own goals???
I loved the beginning of this couple and I can not wait to read their complete story...
I am anticipating it like crazy!!!!

This is Lorenzo Rivas story from the Boneyard Kings Trilogy and I was so excited to read this! I loved the beginning to Lorenzo and Parker’s story it’s definitely a tease but I can’t wait for their complete story especially after that ending!

The cliffhanger these ladies left me with had my jaw dropping and my anticipation for more at an all time high!
I have a feeling that I'm going to fall for Lorenzo when I get his full story!

Game Of Deceit by C. Lymari and Becca Steele was the reason I dived into this anthology. I needed that sneak peek into Lorenzo’s book!! And OMG I wasn’t disappointed! If you’ve read The Boneyard King Trilogy then you’ll have met Lorenzo. I can’t wait for the full book!!!
I did read the other sneak peek and short stories in this anthology and I can say I never thought I’d get into some of these different genres of romance but I did!! Added quite a few to my tbr list!

I read Game Of Deceit by Becca Steele and C.Lymari and I am here for every bit of Lorenzo because 🥵
Even though this was novella length, I felt like the connection Lorenzo and Parker had was off the charts insane and I can’t wait to find out what the rest of the story is going to bring because I am hooked!!

This was an absolutely smashing anthology. I love that it was a nice mix of contemporary and paranormal romance stories. It was also a great mix of author’s I love resisting old series or giving us a peek at what’s next, as well as new to me authors, with stories that have me ready to dive into their catalog.
Edit: I was disappointed to find that a couple of the new to me author’s who included full novels don’t have their stuff on Kindle Unlimited. I was really looking forward to reading both Sarah Piper and Lexi Foss’s series.

This was a quick little prequel that felt like a bit of a whirlwind. I felt like once we were getting a bit of a scene and introduction to characters, we were rushed to something else. That being said, the characters and story seemed interesting, so I’ll grab the series' first book.
Burn by Tracy Lorraine ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We’re back at Rosewood *heart eyes* This was a fun novella featuring a few of the players who were side characters in the main series. I’m a sucker for a vacation romance, and when you add in the forbidden element, it was a short, spicy romp.
The Kingdom by Jenika Snow ⭐⭐⭐⭐
One of the things I really liked about this one was that because it was a short story, there was none of the “I am ridiculously attracted to this guy I think I shouldn’t be, so I’m gonna put off hooking up with him and go back and forth for 100 pages.” This was the epitome of insta-love, but it was great!
Filthy Beginnings by Alison Aimes ⭐⭐⭐
Uhm...I thought the omega verse was a werewolf thing? Is Alphaverse the same thing as the omega verse? This one felt much more like an alien romance with some o-verse elements thrown in -- and luckily, more of just the fated mates/hierarchy stuff (not the brutal things from the first story in the o-verse I read).
Blood and Midnight by Sarah Piper ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s always fun when an author drops a whole novel into one of these anthologies. It’s *even* better when the book is actually part of a series that’s out. This was a fun paranormal romance with an interesting world. It is a spin-off, so it felt like I was missing a little backstory, but nothing that couldn’t be inferred.
His Private Collection by Geneva Lee Albin ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a steamy short! I enjoyed it, and it made me curious to check out the author's other work.
Hexen Academy: Origins by Graceley Knox & Melissa Winters ⭐⭐⭐1/2
It felt a bit rushed. Like, I thought the set-up was interesting, but like we went from 0 to 60 when Finn entered the picture, and she was all like, take me now...at least warm us up before you crank the engine. But the idea for the world is interesting, and I want to check out the series.

Paramour of Sin by Lexi C. Foss
I ended up pausing this one after about two chapters because while it’s technically a standalone, there are a lot of references and characters from the first book in the Dark Provenance series. I enjoyed what I have read so far, and given that, I figured it was better to pause here and start the series from the beginning.

This has got to be one of my top favorite anthologies of all TIME!!! A Dark and Steamy Night: A Charity Romance Anthology totally blew me away with this collection of authors and short stories and I loved every single one of them!
Promises to the Night is a Mate Games: Pestilence Prequel by Meg Anne and K Loraine was yet again another fabulous prequel to an intriguing new world with strong characters and so much sexual tension, emotional angst, and hot and steamy domineering scenes it will leave you begging for the rest of their story!
Burn by Tracy Lorraine is a glimpse into the Rosewood High world and is a best friends brother summer fling romance featuring Rich and Ambers insanely hot coming together one getaway weekend. If you’re a fan of this series then you definitely need to read this novella!
The Kingdom by Jenika Snow was a hot and steamy insta connection, forced proximity/kidnap story full of steam and domineering alphas that is sure to please any fan of that genre! And let’s just say while it had the makings of a fabulous RH it’s not—but never fear Callum’s story is next and I can’t wait!!!
Filthy Beginnings by Alison Aimes provides fabulous insight into Damien and Scarlett’s back story and offered an intriguing prelude to their story to come and I can’t wait!

Set in the same world as the Boneyard Kings, this story features Lorenzo and Parker’s story and was absolute perfection and 100% fire!! What happens when a young aspiring journalist meets a cartel sicario with a past one night at a fight club? Utter chaos, chemistry, lots of steamy heat and a delicious ending that will leave you begging for more!!!
And finally, last but not least Paramour of Sin by Lexi C. Foss is a story of a sex starved succubus named Gwen who find herself in a predicament when she’s framed for something she didn’t do. Toss in a sexy demon lord and a kinky incubus that have a thirst for blood and all things kinky and a touch of bloody violence, mysterious intrigue and tons intense steamy connections and this is the ultimate sexy read.
Overall if you love a good diverse collection of hot, steamy stories featuring charismatic characters, intriguing plots and fabulous world building all while supporting a great cause—this is the one for you!

What a deliciously dark and addictive introduction to Parker and Lorenzo’s story! I will be very impatiently waiting for their full length stories because not only does this duo write amazing stories, but they also have a penchant for drawing you in until you want nothing more than to drown in all the twisted insanity taking place on the pages, only to stop before you’re satisfied, leaving you begging for more.
These 2 need to be dubbed the "Queens of Literary Edging."
Parker and Lorenzo are pure fire, as in they skipped over steamy and dive into molten lava levels of heat. With her ambition and taste of danger, and his lethal edge, I’ve got a feeling these two are going to be volcano level explosive, and I for one CAN NOT wait.

This is a spin off to the boneyard kings trilogy and only contains the first few chapters of the story.
After meeting Lorenzo in the Boneyard kings story, I was excited and wanted to know more about him! He is definitely not what you would call a good guy but after reading these first few chapters, I have a feeling he could end up stealing my heart!
Lorenzo has built himself up to the position he is at today, but how he got there wasn't clean and tidy. Parker is an intern at the local news paper and is trying to find a story that will stand out and help her win the internship competition, and that's when she comes across the name Lorenzo Rivas. Parker being the strong headed woman that she is makes a plan to try and find out more about Lorenzo, but the man she's heard about and meeting him in person is very different!
Even though I've only read the first 11 chapters of Lorenzo and Parker's story, I just know that this couple is going to be HOT!!! I just know that this story will be filled with lies and deceit, but also a ten ton of angst and spice!!!
I cannot wait to read the rest and fall in love even more with these two!!!

This is a great anthology!! Some of the authors I have read and followed, but there's also so many that are new to me which is fun and exciting. What a great way to find new authors, genres and writing styles to enjoy. There's definitely something for everyone in this anthology. Also, love that the proceeds go to a wonderful cause. October 5, 2022Currently reading. One story into this anthology and I'm at a full stop. Cheating is approved in the Meg Anne and K. Loraine contribution because when the husband was caught, the wife got off on it. Ugh that doesn't excuse it!!! This is why I read anthologies though, so I don't have to waste my time on an entire book to realize I never want to read anything by that author again.
Edited to add, because a review on here says there's no cheating in that story (and the character himself also claims there isn't): there definitely is. He got the guy off (his usual sexual boy toy) and then he got himself off, and it was all in an attempt to forget about her. If you're trying to tell me you have to have penetration to cheat, please imagine your significant other getting someone else off then getting themselves off, and tell me it's ok because they "were imagining you...."

I have not had a chance to read the Rosewood High series but this novella for Rich and Amber was exactly what I needed to motivate me to stop being lazy and actually read it. I loved the characters, loved the story and just really enjoyed the chemistry between the two of them. Always impressed with Tracy’s stories.

I was not ready to leave the world of the Boneyard Kings and I was so excited to see the newest spin off from that world in this anthology! This new series will follow Lorenzo and Parker and from what we’ve seen, it’s going to be way too hot. Parker is the young, naive university student studying journalism investigating the new mayor, Lorenzo, who is deep into the underworld taking the law into his own hands. I’m already hooked and can not wait for it to come out fully! Love at first sight, enemies to lovers, age gap (even though Lorenzo really isn’t that old) can all be found in this new book. Within this anthology, there is 8 other stories to get lost in so there is something for everyone who needs their quick fill of smut.

Oh wow, I loved getting this early glimpse of Scarlett and Damian. Yes, she was his fated mate, but he controlled himself (kinda, lol) and we get to see their relationship develop. Oh wow, I loved getting this early glimpse of Scarlett and Damian. Yes, she was his fated mate, but he controlled himself (kinda, lol) and we get to see their relationship develop. Unfortunately, Scarlett is in a horrible position of wanting to escape, hoping her brother could also escape, wanting Damien and not having any power. I haven’t read all of these stories yet, but Game of Deceit by Becca Steele and C. Lymari has me hooked! We met Lorenzo in the Boneyard Kings series and now I want more of him! These story will reel you in from the start slowly getting to know Lorenzo and the secretive Parker. She is determined and on a mission to succeed at her internship. However, is this assignment going to be too dangerous or will Lorenzo be more than she bargained for? I cannot wait for the rest of their story!!! This was a fun, steamy, and just enough drama and suspense to have me hooked! I can’t wait to read the rest of this anthology!

Game of Deceit by Becca Steele & C. Lymari
I have been dying to read more about Lorenzo after we met him in the Boneyard Kings Series. Lorenzo is not a good guy, he has done a lot to maintain his position and he is not afraid to get his hands dirty. These authors though, they somehow find a way to make the hardest, cruelest, most dangerous men so very loving for their ladies and I have no doubt in my mind that this will be a rough journey full of lies and deceit but in the end Parker and Lorenzo will be a perfect fit. I cannot wait to get my hands on the full length book.

I really enjoyed this anthology. When I usually pick up an anthology, it'll have a few authors I know and the rest are new to me, so I get to experience some new storytelling. I had only previously read from two of the nine authors in this anthology, so it was fun whetting my appetite for new authors and writing styles. The stories may be shorter, but you get a lot of reading out of it overall, and the proceeds going to a wonderful charity just makes you feel even better. A lot of paranormal variety here, so it was a fun read. 4 stars.
