I had totally forgotten about this book until last week when I saw an old and tattered copy at the Friends of the Public Library book sale.

This book is a story about a girl who is being tormented by bullies. If I remember correctly, Wendy has a map of all the places where bullies are likely to lurk, and she does her best to avoid those places.

Heavy shit for a book aimed at elementary school kids, but a lot of kids deal with bullying and the like.

I did not buy the book at the book sale. This book does not contain happy childhood memories that I want to relive.

Just got this vintage book for my daughter. It's about third graders and bullying, but Wendy learns some true life lessons about bullies and herself. It's a quick read with some important messages, but not delivered in a heavy handed way. It's an excellent book for elementary aged children to really think about this subject.

I had my fair share of bullies growing up so i was delighted to read this, but found the bullying scenes cringe-worthy and almost couldn't stomach it. It truly is disgusting the way some people treat others. I admire Wendy for sticking up for others are being bullied.

Interesting look at kid suffering from bullies and showing us three dimensional characters.
Some great moments and a satisfying ending.

Read this as a kid and just read it to my kids. They enjoyed it as much as I did.
