The Kid Scientists explore a dormant volcano in Iceland. Fliess explains the scientific processes through narrative as they take samples, test the ground, record any activity sounds. They are working from the hypothesis that the volcano is extinct. Readers see the details of the process and whether the hypothesis was correct. Informative text is included at the end for further exploration.
