The Butcher was the tenth book in the Ruthless Sinners MC series by L Wilder. It appears to be the last book in the series and although could be read as a stand-alone, was more enjoyable having read the entire series first.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: The Butcher was the clean up guy for MC’s. We’ve read about him from the beginning and he had a cut throat mysterious vibe about him. We learned a little more about him in his daughter’s story (Tempting Country, book six) and now his full backstory. I totally enjoyed it but could have used a little more depth. I was a little confused by the introduction of a new MC, the Forgotten Renegades, and I wonder if they will be a spinoff but it was hard to tell if they were a good or evil MC. It would make sense if they were an introduction, but there wasn’t enough information and no link to the Sinners. Other than that, it was a short, quick, suspenseful and entertaining read that I’ve come to expect and enjoy from Wilder.

Sleep is overrated when you have an edge of your seat story to read. I have been waiting for his story and it was so worth the wait. It’s one that is full of the action and drama we love in this series, but the heat and attraction we crave. A page turner I couldn’t put down. If you don’t one click this right away you will miss out.

I read all of this series before this book came out... I thought it was done before this one but ran across it the other day so decided to finish now.... I really wish this author would write more MC romance... what she has written I've already read.
This is the "Butchers" book. AKA the Cleaner....oh and also Billy.... can someone please explain how you go from the name William to the nick name of Billy??? I get Will or even a young boy as Willy but Billy??? Enough about that...lol

I'm glad I finally get to read Billy's story. I must say I enjoyed it. He was in for a surprise with his new clean up job and how his world was about to change. Everleigh got caught up in something because of her dad's gambling debt. She was kidnapped and forced to help Antonio or her father would be killed, little did she know it was a set up. Billy's wife died years ago and he hasn't had a love interest since then, but things changed since meeting her. Excellent story. Plenty of danger, death and the usual. But a HEA for him and Everleigh.

An adrenaline fueled, suspenseful nail biting and intense roller coaster ride to go on. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time with my heart pounding waiting to see what would happen next. Wow, just wow! I had always wanted to get my hands on Billy’s story and boy was it good it was everything I expected and more. He maybe called the butcher but when it comes to Everleigh he becomes someone entirely different. I haven’t enjoyed a book like I did this one in awhile. L. Wilder never ceases to amaze me. I cannot wait to see what comes next.

I’m so glad Billy got a HEA! His story has always been a sad one and his occupation kind of creepy. Little by little we got to know him better.

Everleigh has been in a bad situation for a while and it just got worse until she gets help from a unlikely source.
I never dreamed anyone could get to me the way she did. I’d been void of feeling for so long that I didn’t know I was even capable of letting someone in.
This story was so good. Action packed and sexy as heck. So who’s gonna be next cause I can’t wait.

A man of mystery with a tightly locked down heart Billy "the Butcher" seemed to have his life well mapped out in secrets and questionable deeds. A man of few words it was hard to label Billy but his interactions definitely were intriguing and stood out. So much of what he felt was left unsaid so that the implications of his actions could go in any direction making him an extremely interesting character and the only things that could be nailed down about Billy were his love and devotion to his daughter and the memory of his deceased wife. As a portrayal that was driven by logic his capitulation to his heart's calling was a great twist.
Everleigh was a victim of circumstance who had her whole life erased at the whim and greed of an evil man. To see her not lose hope and or give up her fight to escape her captivity was inspiring and showed her strength. Smart and poised Everleigh was someone to not underestimate and proved a great match for Billy.
When Everleigh burst onto Billy's scene all his locked down emotions were little by little chipped away and no one was as surprised as Billy. This was a great display of watching a man who gave very little away and did not compromise being confronted with the last thing he thought he wanted but ultimately really needed, someone to give his heart to. This couple carefully danced around their interest in each other, well aware of the potential consequence of acting on their attraction, for a slow burn filled with desire and angst gradually heating up for some real steam as it progressed.
As to be expected from this author the action in this story was fast paced and top notch. Ms. Wilder knows her way around action and suspense and does not hold back. Her ability to effortless combine love stories with well put together overarching suspense components makes her works appealing on multiple levels and are always avidly anticipated by her large reader base.
L. Wilder always finds a way to capture her audience with characters who exist in gray. Their ambiguity leaves her audience with a lot of emotions to sort through for some of the most interesting portrayals out there. Moral dilemmas are her forte and she leaves no corner unturned. With expressive writing full of emotions and no shortage of personal demons Ms. Wilder keeps her readers hanging on her every word. Butcher was the perfect addition to the Ruthless Sinner family and readers are going to love him!

I just was not expecting what I got when I started reading this.
We caught a bit more about Billy when reading Country and seeing his pursuit of Kiersten. But what we got this soft side that invited trouble into his home consequences be dammed, it make me want a Billy.
I love that it was an age gap romance that didn't make the age the main issue! It was refreshing and sweet and just a book that once you started you couldn't put it down! I mean who needs sleep right?
L. Wilder has this way of writing her men to be that strong alpha mentality without making the women in their lives feel weak and helpless and Billy is no different. Everleigh was in control of her destiny the whole time she was with Billy but she made the choice to stay with him rather than leave and try and manage on her own.
While we did get a better idea of Billy and why he is the way he is, I would have loved to see more on his brain and how he processes things especially when he is on a scene. But I am also selfish and and want ALL the detail!
10/10 would recommend EVERY book this woman writes!

Billy & Everleigh
He was good at his job. The Cleaner. He was called to take care of the aftermath of retribution, club wars, and whatever else MCs and others needed a scene cleaned up. He was good at what he did. His life was his work and his daughter after his wife was killed. Now she was grown up and he was alone until...Everleigh came into his life.
She'd live through horror to save her father until things changed and Billy had to make a decision. With the help of the MC, she was rescued. The more time he spent with her the more he wanted to live again.
The story is touching, violent, and one you won't forget. Great characters, stories, secrets unfolded, steam, and storyline.

The Butcher is a story I have been waiting for and it was worth the wait. This gives you further insight into the man beneath the white shirt and pressed khaki cargos who cleans up other peoples messes. Billy maybe OCD about certain things and he may appear as cold as the game he plays but beneath it all is a man frightened to love and lose again. Billy and Everleigh’s story keeps you in the edge of your seat full of grit, chaos and determination. These two have a chemistry and connection that is poignant and one that scares them both immensely. It is filled with passion and determination. A story about taking chances, braving the risk and finally letting your heart win.

Fantastic!!
This is another great addition to the Ruthless Sinners MC series and this author sure knows how to write a book that totally draws me in and doesn’t let go until the last page is read. Billy, the Butcher, lives up to his name as being a cleaner for the MC.
Everleigh has been blackmailed since her father owed a huge gambling debt to the DeLucas. With her being left its Billy that finds her and wants to keep her safe. The drama and the chemistry was off the charts and I’d definitely recommend this book for any MC lovers out there. This author never disappoints.

It’s a romantic story
I enjoyed the story and romance between Billy, The Butcher, and Everleigh Freeman. Some parts of the story just threw me off because you have to suspend reality to believe them. The Butcher is a cleaner for hire. The best in the business. Everleigh had been tricked into perpetual servitude by the villain, DeLuca. The story is good but many of the happenings between the characters are far fetched and distracts from the main story. I don’t want to give spoilers so I will leave it there. Read On!

I don’t know how she does it, but once again, L. Wilder has made me fall for a bad boy— and this time he is a cleaner!! I had no clue what to expect from this book, but I absolutely loved it! Billy is swoon-worthy and Everleigh is one tough cookie. They are the perfect match! Well done L. Wilder!

The Butcher comes at you from the start. This enigma of a man becomes even more of a beast when it comes to those near and dear. Cleaning has never been more alive, when you thought the man in the white button down and khakis did the dark work your going to need to readjust and hang on cause The Butcher is about to show you what he's really made of.

The Butcher is book 10 in the Ruthless Sinners MC series. Billy and Everleigh’s story was one that I couldn’t put down and had me sitting on the edge of my seat at times. This is a beautiful age gap romance. Absolutely loved their story.

Not quite the MC Character we are use to from our author , but definitely still part of the MC Biker world.
There is always that guy , Biker guys call to clean up there “ mess” we’ll finally someone has made that guy an actual person, a person of interest, in The Butcher.

Still that awesomeness of characters appearing from pre it’s books in this series, but this one has a closer link with members of the MC family than normal.

So excited that finally Billy has his own story and what a thrilling, steamy story full of grit, club drama, mafia violence with an intense age gap romance thrown in. Billy is known as the Butcher who is associated with a group of hard edge bikers who he makes their problems disappear. His only meaning in life is his job and the love he has for his daughter Kiersten. Billy has OCD when it comes to his home, basement and his job as a cleaner and is thorough with each job he takes. Billy is this sexy older man who has given up on love with the death of his wife by a doctor who harmed his patients, this one act had Billy resigning from the force, asking Viper of the Ruthless Sinners MC for help and led him on the path known as the Butcher. Soon Billy will find that one job is about to change the course of his life forever.
Everleigh is a successful investment broker had it all until one day a group of men kidnapped her and brought her
to Antonio DeLuca to pay off her father's debt. Trying to save her father she agrees to work for this vile mafia mobster investing his money. Thinking her debt has been paid, she is told by Antonio he will never let her go and that he killed her father years ago. Everleigh is overcome with emotion and angst to think she gave 5 years of her life to save her father only to be told he is dead. Now she knows she will never be free until one day the compound is attacked. Hoping she can escape she rushes from her room when Antonio tells her to run and then fires 3 bullets in her back.

Once Everleigh wakes up she has no idea where she is or how she is alive. When she finds a handsome kind spoken man called Billy next to her, he helps fill in the blanks of what happened. Confused and afraid that Antonio will find her she remains quite. As days go by with Billy's help Everleigh is getting stronger, she finds she is attracted to this sexy older man, but she can tell Billy is holding back. Thrilling addition to this terrific MC series! I love this group of brothers, their women, the wonderful family and friends atmosphere, and the fierce brotherhood. This story surprised me a little. I’ve always be enthralled by the mysterious cleaner, Billy. Such an intriguing character as he goes about his unconventional business, not only with the Sinners but other clients. He handles the nasty elements of death involving bodies, disappearances, blood and yuck. Certainly unique in the criminal world and the story has all the unsavory details of his work. When Billy’s daughter got involved with the biker Country I was hoping we would see more of Billy. Well, this is it and it’s a doozy. Billy takes on a job and get something he didn’t expect or want. A body still alive. Yikes, what to do? Finish the job he was paid to do or save the girl. Luckily for Everleigh he chose right. Poor girl went through a rough few years in the hands of evil but is she better off with Billy? She feels safe with him but his Sinners friends are scary. It’s not long before an attraction blooms between Everleigh and the mysterious older man. Billy feels the same chemistry but he’s so much older than the young beauty plus he’s been closed off for years. Things seem to be working out until Everleigh decides that she deserves a little vengeance and the crap hits the fan. A loved one is in peril and Billy calls on the Sinners for help. I loved the brutal way those hot club brothers rode to the rescue and dealt with the evil. I really liked getting to know Billy and his fierce need to protect. He’s a sexy older hero that’s yummy. Everleigh was a good heroine even though she had a few lapses of brain power and the beginning was a little rushed for me. I loved Billy and Everleigh together and the epilogue was fabulous. I really loved Billy’s new course in life with the Sinners. We didn’t get much of the fabulous old ladies and the club’s women in the story and I missed them. I love this series and look forward to the next installment. Biker love!

This is my first read by L. Wilder and OMG I will definitely be reading the remaining books in this series when they are written. She did an amazing job creating this story line and the perfect characters to go with it.
This is Billy and Everleigh’s story and it was definitely not an easy one but it was absolutely perfect and beautiful once these two got their HEA. Everleigh is taken to payoff a debt incurred by her father, under the impression it will save his life she willing gives up her freedom to so he can go on with his. But after years of servitude to a mafia man and millions in his bank account he leaves her for dead and calls in the cleaner to clean up his mess. Billy is a broken man after the loss of his wife to a uncaring doctor but a self made professional cleaner after the fact and after getting his revenge. Living a lonely life with the only love he needs his daughter he has no issue living his life the way he does or doing what he does until he’s called in to clean up and finds himself with an unconscious beautiful woman in his work space.
These two are absolutely perfectly made for each other. He’s the epitome of a broody alpha male whose OTT possessive and protective and she’s a FMC who’s feisty, headstrong and absolutely selfless. I could not get enough of these two and this book. It had all the feels all the ups and downs that will twist your emotions all around. It had suspense, adventure, and lots of danger lurking around. Their love is not perfect and they have to fight to get their HEA but once they do they will leave you so amazed. I truly look forward to reading what this author has in store for us next. This is a definite series I recommend reading. Absolutely fantastic.

The Butcher is the tenth book in the Ruthless Sinners MC series, told in dual POV. This is Billy’s story and it’s as amazing as all the others.
Billy is a cleaner…just not your typical type. We’ve seen Billy throughout the series on many occasions when the club has been in need of his services. In County’s book, (book 6), we found out he is a little more closely associated with them than we thought. All the members of the RSMC have the utmost respect for him even if some are terrified of him. I absolutely loved getting to really see the man Billy is.
Billy’s not as hard edged as the Sinners but he’s not a ‘lay down and take it’ kind of man either and that shows in this book perfectly. He’s very methodical with his thinking and actions. I feel like Ms. Wilder wrote him just the way he needed to be.
Everleigh had her life planned out, was on her way to the top. She had overcome her upbringing to become a financially stable, educated and independent woman. That was until five years into her plan her upbringing came back and pulled her all the way back down. A chance meeting, a quick glance and a night of terror brings Everleigh and Billy together in the most unexpected way.
Everleigh has had a rough time the past several years. I honestly feel she’s kind of numbed out to the fears she felt when her life got flipped upside down. She has learned how to judge people by their presence and how they carry themselves, like she’s acquired a sort of sixth sense.
I thoroughly loved this book!! Thank you Ms. Wilder for another amazing read!! Can’t wait for the next one!!

These two are fire and you are going to be loving every second of their story. It has twists and turns and like I said you spend a lot of time one the edge of your seat. Two broken people find each other in the most unexpected way.
He’s a man that turned away from the law to help those that helped him. He goes into situations to hide the truth. When Billy’s world is turned upside down due to a doctor’s mistake, he no longer has the desire to work with the law to find the truth behind a death. After he requests the help of the Ruthless Sinners MC to help him get payback for his wife’s death, he makes the decision to turn his training to help those that helped him.
She is the payment for her father’s debt to a ruthless mobster that is trying to make a name for himself. Her life was going the way she wanted it to, and she was happy, until she opened her door one day and found herself being taken and put into a car with men she didn’t know. Everleigh’s life is changed, and she is isolated from everyone she ever knew. She’s dealt multiple blows and she’s not sure she’ll ever get her life back.
This was a great story and the meeting of these two was unique. I loved it. The Butcher is a quiet man that keeps to himself and only socializes with his daughter and on occasion, The Ruthless Sinners MC. When he decides to go with his head rather than his gut after a job, his whole life changes again, but this time perhaps for the better. He will do what it takes to protect those that he loves and considers family, and nothing is off limits. I loved the story and the characters in this book, the story was action packed, sexy, heartbreaking, and has an HEA. I give it a 4-star review.
